I am in nw PA. I Bought a brand new Takeuchi TL12V2 & a TB260 a couple months ago. They are both really nice machines! A Bradco six way blade is on my short list of tools thanks for making it a easy hook up for me.
that Jim from global doesn't waste customer service when it comes to looking after folks like you and V belt and a wiring diagram via your cell phone that is service man freaking awesome
First shear I ever ran was a 16 inch on a Clark 1075 Bobcat with tracks. The worst thing about a skid steer is the low ground clearance. Once you scrub around in the dirt the stumps seem to grow and you will start hitting them. Ran a 6 wheeled Bobcat later and it had hydraulics that would raise the wheels. With this machine you could run over the piles in a first thinning. Hose and machine guarding is needed because of falling limbs and tops breaking out and falling straight down on you. Tall trees can tip you backwards if the hang up in other trees. Always be ready to spin and dump the trees to keep the oily side down! Good luck.
That sheer will be an awesome and quick thinning tool for those weed trees. Fixxed hundred of cannon plugs when I was in the service, those things are the bees knees when you have to have a quick connect and disconnect. When they decide to fail, it is UGLY work to find and fix the broken pin when the pin count gets high.
Sam, Another great video as always. Thanks for the tip on the Stucci screw on couplers for the mulcher, I am running the Stucci Flat faced couplers, and what a headache, I'm getting tired of replacing them! A tree shear is next on my list. BTW if you haven't already done so, Check out the videos from Jeff Karschner with All Star Bobcat down in Colorado. He's running a Shear on his T870 Bobkitten, and he builds the "Dragon Tail" skidder grapple for CTLs, I believe he has built them for the Takeuchi as well
I'm running Stucchi 1" threaded couplers on my Kubota. Bought direct from Stucchi, they were cheaper than I was paying for flat faced couplers at the dealer. No complaints at all with them.
@@kyledonaldson974 Are you running the VEP series of couplers? Also did they fit directly to the kubota hydraulic manifold, or did you make modifications? I'm running an SVL95 with a Fecon head. I'd be interested in anything else you may have run into with your kubota.
@@snowryder800 I am running the VEP 17p 1" SAE. I have a SVL 90 which has a different aux connections than the 95. I had to get a 1" to 3/4 SAE reducer to run the larger fittings. Call Stuchhi direct, they were helpful in getting what I needed and I purchased direct from them.
We had those Stuchi couplers on our Kobelco for running the flail mulcher and didn't have much luck with them. It didn't take much for dirt and dust to gum them up.
Those tree shears are awesome, I am in the Texas Hillcounrty and it’s super rocky so a mulching head is not a good option, those shears and a root grubbing are the go to here You will love it
We have 2 takeuchi ctls a tl150. And a tl12v2. When we are asked why we didnt go with a different machine the only thing you can say is take it for a drive. Takeuchi was the first compact track loader and have only perfected the design over the years. And its really hard to beat the hydraulic pilot controls
I have a Quickattatch single blade shear, it has a wedge on the blade that tips the tree to the right most of the time and doesn’t have any grab arms. I only used it on an Asv md 70, just got a Takeuchi TL 240, can’t wait to try it on that. I had a Grouser 6 ft 6 way dozer blade on the 70 a few times but it would throw the machine sideways while blading at an angle, it is to lite for that.
Those Dymax tree shears are stout. I demoed one without the clamp or accumulator. And it would cut down a 10" tree with no problem, and I was cutting dead trees. The machine was a Bobcat 864. I also demoed a root grapple and it was slick also.
It’s called a accumulator to hold previously cut material, have the Grouser 1300 and the Dymax shear , I find myself using a bucket with a tiltach more than the blade because of visibility
Very cool Mr. Sam. Those are a couple of handy implements. After you were up, I put the TMK300 sheer on the 080 and it’s working beyond expectation. It will cut up to 11 inches at the max but it doesn’t like it and then the top is so tall and heavy, you have to balance the top like a pencil in the palm of your hand or it gets sketchy very quickly. I’d like you to come up and give it a try and see if it’s something you could use in exchange for 080 lessons and who knows maybe TL12 lessons in the spring 😳. Thanks for sharing👍👍👍🇺🇸
Just sold my 6 way dozer blade that I had for my skid steer, you will find out it's not at all good for grading dirt, maybe ok to push brush, I opted to buy a large brush grapple instead, out of 3 years ownership, that blade got used hardly at all. My machine came factory with the 14 point plug, I'm looking at buying a tree sheer right now, but I'm getting one for my trackhoe
Yeah I’ve used the 6 way before like 5 years ago. It’s sat since then. But I’ve got a few jobs around the house I wanna tackle with it. See how she does
Just throwing an observation out there, those flat face couplers should have a o-ring boss (ORB) fitting going in them not pipe. Super easy to swap. Also I believe caterpillar also offers those thread together fittings. (probably made by the same company) but our 312 has them for the thumb.
Takeuchi is nice but ducking in and out of the front of the machine under the boom is eventually going to end up a relic of our bygon era. The side entry machine like the Volvo and JCB are the way to go.
Some people belive just because you have your own Company that have it easy, they think you go do anything you want, and that's BS . It lots hard work and long hour .
Would like to see tree sheer work! I have 6 way dozer blade have not used it yet:( great info! I need to do same wire set up as you for blade to work. Thanks Sam!!
I've cleared alot of locust trees with a tree sheer at my farm. On a Tak TL140. Had remote spray so you hit the stump with Tordan. You can clear alot of trees in a days time for sure!
Do you think a swing out guard for the hydraulic line hookup would be a plus you said they’re fairly expensive if you’re cutting down trees shit happens as you well know! Also an extra set of lines.
Sam, How about building a rack or buying a rack to put those implements on the side of the shop with chains so they don't walk away. Put them on pallets.?
Curious to see how you like the six way dozer after you’ve used it for a while I had the same one thought I was going to love it ended up not liking it at all can’t see the bottom of your blade always guess you don’t know how deep you are cutting ended up trading it back in for a four in one bucket
Hey there happy holidays, i got a,question so i got same machine, with fae 150 head with door, the wires got ripped out, and i just need to open door do you know what wire goes to what letter please and thank you
I have looked into adding a Ryans shear for either my TL250 and also wanted to modify it to attach to my 8 ton excavator. What are your thoughts on running this shear on an excavator?
Are your going to convert all click-on flat faced connectors to the threaded version? . The only company I see that makes these are Stucchi. Are they easier to connect ? Even when I bleed a line I find some push -on connections difficult. I'm a retired landowner with a couple of implements and I like anything that makes work easier. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I have a Takeuchi Tl12v2 and have a 4 n 1 bucket. Anyone know where or who I can get a lift arm hydraulic hose loop to keep the hose out the way that bolts at the bottom of lift arm. Can't find it anywhere.
I need some help with my 12v , I've been here since the beginning of your channel bro. I was kind of sad I didn't win the jacket last year. Anyway my alternator isn't charging , my od isn't working and my tach either. I'm at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I have a 98 12 valve 4x4 manual trans quad cab dually that I'm only getting 15 mpg. Does anyone know if this sounds right? 15mpg sounds kinda low to me. It's got 354 gear. I'm wondering if there someone out there with the same truck that knows what it gets mpg? Thanks
Carl Roof machine I think is set up for secondary to either be electric or hydraulic I couldn’t run both. Same bottoms for either hydraulic or electric can’t run both. I think

Thanks for the comment about the JIC hydraulic fittings. Most people around here don't like them. Interesting point you made.
Not many flat face couplers are jic or pipe most are o-ring boss and in my opinion are the best and easiest to work with.
The right tools are always worth it

Nice implements for the equipment to get the job done. 👊
I look forward to the dozer blade video to see how well it will fine grade..
I like that it's wider then the machine

Cool buddy! You need a trailer just for your TL12 with a spot for all the attachments. That would make it super nice for you.
Live your videos bud!! Keep up the good work. Here in central Cali!!
This awesome. Differently a game changer buddy
Love the dozer blade want one

Cool 👍have fun with it
I've ran pusher blade on a case pushin snow in Bryce canyon it was almost a year ago
Next investment , a log grapple for compact track loader . Ryan's log grapple saw with winch and tree pusher be awesome
Richard Gavin idk if I’ll get one for the skid steer already have several excavators with rotating grapples
I've been debating a root rake grapple clam style or the rotating on my svl95
Also been debating which on my stand on skid

Nice units there man 😎👍
Is a mulched better then a tree shear? What is the advantages of a tree shear over a mulcher?
That is awesome 👏🏼 👍🏼
Always wanted to ask this. Why did you decide to go with the radial lift instead of the vertical lift considering you run a mulcher a lot on it?
WPOG84 vertical lift is to open for debris getting in it and also take more hydraulics to lift vertical set up. Robbing head power
@@VBELTandSON that makes sense

How much did you pick up that dozer blade for? I’ve always been looking at them could never find a reasonable cost for one.
At 1:15 is why I refuse to buy any Skidsteer with a swing out door. I need to do that at least a dozen times a day working construction
100% agree
I'm not a fan of the 6 way on skidsteer. It just seems awkward for making a consistent grade. Tree cutter is B.A

10-4, my cat only has the one set of connections that is switched electronically from hi to low
