  • Comparing the 2021 Takeuchi TL12R2 to the 2011 TL250 track loader. I do a quick side by side comparison of the two machines on some of the changes and improvements that Takeuchi has made in 10 years. I'm sure there are some things I haven't touched on but these are some of the things I noticed. The TL12R2 is insane! It's a powerhouse and its very quick. I'm really enjoying this machine and it's definitely made me realize how I need to update my loader. I'm hoping to get a TL12V2 at some point to see if I would like that better. Thanks for watching! #EliteEarthworks #Takeuchi #loadercomparison

    Thanks for that video. I enjoy hearing info on machines from the people who operate them rather than someone who sells them. Especially stuff like this and the one where you had to replace the battery, that kind of info is something I wouldn't have thought of in looking at equipment. (Like I found that replacing a fan belt on my dozer actually required half a day's work and disassembly of most of the front of the machine. )

    Great comparison vid. I got a chance to run a TL8 about a year ago when I was helping my buddy build a boulder wall. That thing was super fast, twitchy, and responsive. It took me awhile to get used to after running my Deere for so long. You could tell the pilot controls are way different that electric over hydraulic controls.

    There's some really clever improvements. The 12 looks pretty good too. It's worth noting that even with a 10 year old machine, your skill proves a 10 year old takeuchi can still get the job done and done well. Thanks for the overviews! It was really interesting!

    We have 2 TL12R2 machines now and they are great. Bought one last year and put 1,500 hrs on it the first year so we decided to buy a second one last month. Love the new improvements on the cab and love the smoother ride on the tracks without the metal plates for the rollers to run on.
    Side note, the rear doors are way too thin. Definitely don’t do well when guys back into thing. Our older TL130 and TL230 can back into a concrete wall and barely leave a scratch. Do that with a new one and you’ll be buying a new door and radiator.

      Thank you! Yeah the 12 is big. I don’t know if they plan on making a 10R2. They only make the 8’ s in radial and the 10’s in vertical now. I would go with the 8r2 if the 12 is too big than what you need. The 10 is a bit under powered. It has the engine of the 8 in the frame of the 12. The 8r2 is an animal

  • @clydeacor1911
    @clydeacor1911 3 года назад +1

    You definitely went over most everything. I definitely prefer the vertical lift especially if you're loading trucks because it gets the bucket further and closer to the center of the bed and also lifts higher. The extra cost of the high flow made me just stick with the standard flow because you can get most attachments in a standard flow nowadays, mulchers and asphalt grinders are about the only thing you can't get in a standard flow and I don't do enough of it to justify the cost, if I do I just rent a machine for the specific job. I wished you could get them in a glider like they used to do with big trucks because the emissions are nothing but trouble and costly not to mention fuel efficiency is almost half of the pre emissions engines. Caterpillar used Perkins for year's and switched to Kubota engines and I didn't like the Kubota at all compared to the Perkins it used twice the fuel and I had constant problems with the fuel system and particulate filter plugging up because you had to run it wide open to keep it hot or it'd plug up, probably why it used twice as much fuel. Great video on the comparison!

    • @eliteearthworksllc
      @eliteearthworksllc  3 года назад +1

      I’m going to get a high flow 12R2. The high flow is about $2k-$3k more and the V2 is also me expensive. I like the R2 better because the pump flows a few more gpm and the break force is a little better. If I was moving heavy pallets all the time I would probably get the v2 but the radial design is much stronger for grading

I'll keep running my old shit until they quit making parts for them. The man that designed electronic exhaust wasn't doing so to help protect the environment, he was helping dealership service departments. They can have my share of Government Juice. I want, I want, I want - like a petulant kid! Couple months back you were set to sign up for a DOZER! Just messing with you. Listen, you're a big boy and know what you NEED to make $$$ so just prioritize a list but always keep it to NEED vs WANT. Don't think we can say cuz we watch you do a lot of work with what you have but there's always room for improvement. So if the FECON is a no go for your machine and you get enough of that work, it needs to be considered. You can also put the feelers out there for anyone who might be looking for a machine like yours. Then you get to play, "Let's Make a Deal". BUT all that said, best is your Health & Great Family & Hugs to them! Thanks! Sonny (CT)
