You folks are more Samoan than you know. It's been amazing watching you and your family flourish and integrate into the culture. Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing your journey with us.
Thats right you more samoan then you know!! Samoans in the states take for granted who they are nd what they have in samoa. Stuggling to pay rent or buy property you will never own But have your family land in samoa krazy. Enjoy Samoa and make it yours
I can honestly feel the true love you guys have for your new found island home… like Nate said.. it’s home!! Tai lava for sharing this beautiful content.
This video will change not only your life but for alot of people that's been away for years like me and family can't wait to come back God made you guys to be Angeles to serve for us to be wanted back home love you guys God bless you all from magna Utah.
I love how you guys love living in American Samoa n your reasons for it. Years ago I had to share(or more like convince them) the beauty of our island to my teenage nieces n nephew who had already made up their minds they’ll never go to Samoa even to visit because of the heat, the bugs, the food, etc. They eventually went home for a funeral n came back changed young people. They loved it! Your videos will help our young people see our home for what it truly is. A huge FAAFETAI LAVA to your family for sharing everything about our home! Love u guys!
Ya ever get that feeling when you travel....can't wait to get home. Home is where the heart is? You made Samoa your home. You should travel. Go check out "western" Samoa. Knowing you always return to something beautiful is the best feeling.
Yup western Samoa is only 30 min plane ride away? has alot to offer - I rented a van tour the whole island of Upolu for 1 day and later took the van on a barge to savaii spent two days there - best vacation !
Looks like you've really thought it out thus far...travel is still optional. From what I see, you're already "aiga" with the community. We hope nothing but the best for you during your stay.
Sounds like an exciting life! Thanks e lived Brizzy when we visited a few years ago and we’re hoping to check out NZ in the near future. Maybe Niue too 🤞
I’ve been away for 12 years and watching your videos over the years have really made me rethink my decision to life in the US. Planning to return 2023. I’m from Pago village and looking forward to seeing you guys there.
I'm glad I found You folks again I know how difficult it is to live the U.S. mainland to live in an Island where you hear roosters as a time clock if there are any where you folks are,,Lol,, and sound of silence or wind, the wind blowing to and fro among the trees, thats where my family roots are. As soon as the A.S.G allow flights to AS Samoa I will come see my families there again GOD Bless your Family..
My dad got a job in American Samoa in 1967. We loved it. My dad worked as an instruction supervisor at Samoana High School as an instruction supervisor. He was responsible for giving feedback to the television instruction teachers as to how well their lesson were coming across to the Samoan students. First we lived in Tafina (48) and then moved into QTR.20 E which is now the court next to the original court house on the other side of the stream. We loved it there!😎
Always feel pride when people get to experience the deep love of Samoa. Thank you for sharing your story, thank you for sharing our island home with the world, and thank you for being open to living island life in its most authentic form of 'ALOFA' for all. God bless you all abundantly. Soifua
I really love the fact that everything that you’ve said about our home is nothing but facts...and it’s giving me a flashback of it, I miss home so much I can’t wait to come back
I’m so sad that I’m not coming to Samoa anymore 😔Cause they are not letting anybody in Samoa! But as it opens I’m coming to Samoa 😍Is so good to see your videos 🥰❤️
Everything you guys say about American Samoa is "real and true to the heart to me". I was born and raised there. I left when I joined the army. I really missed my homeland. I am preparing my move back home asap. I hope my people who are "living the island" can listen to your videos and learn from it what they are missing! I know every situation are different for reason of living. But what I can tell them after 3 decades here in the states is "there is no place like home". Also if I knew the "difference between the lifestyles in the states and american samoa...espeicially financially?" I would stay back home and find work and live life the way you guys are enjoying doing now. Thank you for the video. It really is interesting for me to "look at it the way you guys do". I see what I have been taking for granted back in the days.
You guys are the most special people to visit our Island , Because you will spread out the story to outside world to people that have not seen or heard about the Island of American Samoa and I believe they will someday visit our Island in the future in a large numbers , That is why people like you and family are welcome to our Island any time cause you are our Special guess , I also believe that someone on our Island will offer you guys a piece of land to own to built your house and raised your family here in American Samoa , And everyone on Island will be your family forever , Take care you guys and hope to meet you guys someday .
I love all the footage of home you continue to share with everyone.. especially those of us that have been away for a bit. Malō Faafetai Lava. May your journey be continuously blessed with much Alofa Amsamfam.
My fondest memories are from living there in the late 50s. Only place to go to the movies was the Goat Island Club. Had to boil drinking water and for 2 years only Carnation Instant Milk. Miss the great fishing. Thank you all for bringing it back home for me. The people are the best. Dad left our 50s red convertible Willys Jeepster there.
Wow! I am so proud of you guys and your children. Your story of moving to American Samoa is so encouraging. I'm from Fagasā and I am planning to move back home. There's no place like home. God bless you and your children!
I really feel in awe of you guys and the love your family has for your experiences in American Samoa....amazing!!..it is the simple things that matter....God Bless...all the best in whatever you chose to do....
I’m so happy my AmSam ĀIGA. More more n more. You guys have been to places I never would dream of. N a lot are taking them trails ya show…you are basically our AmSam
Born and Reared in Laulii, Am. Samoa. Its awesome to hear such lovely, positive testimony about our tiny island. And here I am struggling to live in the U.S., lol. Someday I'll hopefully return and be happy like you all are...👍👍👍👌👌👌🥰❤
Glad you guys found the place that feels like home. That is important. However, we have found all the things you talk about right here. All those things are in so many places. The real thing is, like I said, finding where your heart feels at home.
What's up AM SAM FAM!! Excited to see another video, I've been checking my notifications every day like crazy lmao. Glad to see you guys are doing great, definitely looking forward to virtually hike that Matafao trail with y'all lol. The fact that you guys are finding endless ways of loving and appreciating my beautiful home island makes me proud. You guys are Samoan by heart ;)
Very good video. Everything you commented on is right on point. I've experienced the same. I'm somewhat reliving some of my past watching your videos. And you're right about friends. You can always make new friends everywhere you go and friends come and go. You're medical care there on island sounds like the VA. But like you say, sufficient health care for you and family, good enough. And you all seem young and healthy. Saipan had no snakes but Guam had the brown tree snake, non venomous. You got bullsharks in the harbor? Yikes. You guys are doing great. Stay cool and keep the videos coming. I love them all.
Thankyou for your great videos. It's an honor for you to share your experience of Samoa with the world. It's been so long since I've been back home. I like watching your videos and catching up with our Island life. Samoa is rich in Culture, Religion and Family Bond.

I love your videos and thank you so much for loving our beautiful island of American Samoa! Someday I’ll be back to visit. I left American Samoa in 1994 came to Cincinnati Ohio, this is where I live now and I hope someday I can be back to visit my brother is there now.

You,'re smart for staying. You have made friends, there are lots of places to explore, and the place is simply beautiful! We finally left in '71 and having seen the island on your site and other people's You Tube, so much has changed. I'm surprised at how different the places I walked passed going to and from Fia Illoa have changed! I purchased your book and I'm glad I did. It's a great great book! Oh! I'm Samoan/Irish but I have no knowledge of what life in Samoa is about and you guys are literally keeping me in the loop. And I'm sure others in my shoe feels the same way. Keep up the GREAT work! Much alofa/aloha from Hawaii🤙
Nate, Would you be able to help me when I & my Puppy get to American Samoa? To find a place to live. Minnesota is just Rush, Rush & drive as fast as you can. I need the Warm Weather & Fresh Fruits. I’ve been saying for the last 3 years I’m moving to a Warmer Climate. I’m 70 & can’t go through another Arctic Winter. I get Social Security Retirement Check & need a Bank for my Direct Deposit. I also need Doctors for my Medications I’m on. I took care of my Mother for 16 years & not tied down now. In Minnesota people don’t talk to one another or want to get involved with one another. This is one of the most Expensive States to live in. My Doctors said it’s time to find a warmer place to live in. I’m thinking about November moving to American Samoa. So would you be able to Guide me in the Right Directions when I get there? You have to lock everything up here & im tired of that also. Just waiting for my Passport it’s been 14 weeks & still waiting for it.
Hi Ronald, that would be great if you could come. We understand wanting a split from winter 😄 Yeah, you’ll definitely want to have your passport in order, as you’ll need it to come. As far as housing, there are Facebook marketplace groups where you can see what’s available. Let us know, as you progress in the process, how we can help l.
Thank you guys for sharing your videos. This video was refreshing. I appreciate Nate’s take the two-year end date and how the island just spoke to him. Also, I like the life long friends you guys have. I hope to visit one day.
Love it! Please enjoy American Samoa as long as you’re able❤️💯🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I used to ask my Mom why would anyone want to leave all that to come to the USA? I feel your excitement and genuine heart for AmSamoa🥰 blessings 🙏🏼
Thank you for loving American Samoa like we do. Home is where the heart is. ❤
Your husband is Samoan at heart for sure. So inspiring to live that beautiful life. I love that - live it 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Just waiting for my Passport it’s been 14 weeks & still waiting for it.
have you already found a place to stay? hope all is well
Hi Ronald, that would be great if you could come. We understand wanting a split from winter 😄 Yeah, you’ll definitely want to have your passport in order, as you’ll need it to come. As far as housing, there are Facebook marketplace groups where you can see what’s available.
Let us know, as you progress in the process, how we can help l.
Thank you so much for this info.
Awesome guys love your family 👪❤GB.
Love the channel guys🤙
Thank you guys for sharing your videos. This video was refreshing. I appreciate Nate’s take the two-year end date and how the island just spoke to him. Also, I like the life long friends you guys have. I hope to visit one day.
Thank you for the information ! 👍🤙🤩 Now I'm thinking about coming home .. lol 🤩🤗😂 hospital scares me the most ..
Understandable, but especially if you’re a generally healthy person it shouldn’t be a problem here.
I truly love you guys awesome job and thank you for loving Samoa GB and be safe ❤
