I grew up down by you in NC with some serious Christians and you had me big time on the skit. I could picture family of mine saying that! Hahah great job!
I understand we're moving at the speed of science, but I'd really love to see these more frequently! I'd also love to see you guys resume uploading on Spotify as a secondary platform :)
The whole research round up recommendations on recovering from a diet sounds a lot like the RP diet: Keeping carbs, slightly higher cal over training days, carbs and cals within day distributed closer to exercise event, etc.
I’ve been bulking since December ‘20, so about 8 straight months. Nothing fancy, just slow and steady (75.1kg to 80.5kg so far; +5.4kg or +7.2%). My body composition looks better, so I’ve either maintained the same body fat % or perhaps slightly improved. All lifts are up. Slow and steady really is the name of the game, especially when you’ve been training for longer already (or you’re older). I won’t need to do much to lean out when I want to stop, so very little quality training time will be lost.
Just when I thought Greg was an ok guy, and just when I think I can finally get behind what he’s saying, he all of a sudden says he’s being “sarcastic” and it was some kinda “joke”. Is the m*rijuana epidemic a joke to you? 8 trillion lives lost and he finds it funny. Eric, please find a new temporary guest host.
Hey, guys! Regarding cardio question: do you think there are any particular benefits of HIIT training for heart health? Or it does not matter? It would be also interesting to know what intensity should cardio be done to “feel” the benefits? Is walking at a normal pace enough? Thanks!💪
I feel like looking at frequency with volume equated is the least interesting analysis, since the mechanism of additional gains likely lies in additional volume. Would be interesting to see how much additional volume is possible (if at all) through frequency manipulation, and how much of that volume transfers to additional gains (although probably a harder study to make).
Guys where can I submit a Q for the Q&A If in here; if we are in a surplus or a deficit, after a while, How can we calculate a good estimate of what would be our new maintenance calories, I mean in order to try to avoid trial an error if we want to do a maintenance week, layne norton had some sort of good enough formula but I want to know what you guys use or would use
Diet breaks can help you find maintenance. The same process goes for officially ending a cut/bulk. Bump the calories up/down (magnitude depends on your rate of loss/gain) for a few weeks and watch the scale. When it comes to calories you only ever have estimates so some level of experimenting is necessary
Omfg I need to unsubscribe from any of Greg's content. Laws are there because god made it so and if you don't obey laws you're going to hell? Holy shit. This is crazy town banana pants. Officially cannot trust this guy's science.
Greg please block these crazy liberals. This is a anti drug, Christian podcast promoting strong family values and good old fashioned American patriotism
So we’re going to ignore that Phelps won multiple golds in 2012 and 2016 and didn’t exactly fall off the face of the earth? And Arnold could have competed in 1976 but he had already retired once in 1974.
Greg deserves a full time job on the podcast! He's proven himself already.
What are you suggesting, no more guest host? The podcast just wouldnt be the same
LOL

The amount of people in these comments that are genuinely upset because they can’t understand satire is incredible
Not to mention they didn’t listen long enough for the blatant explanation at the end of the bit
Always interesting….this one, extra interesting

Greg is going soft if he's going to let a 5 year old beat him when all he has to do is stay awake to win.

My dream study is one group raising e1rm by rep increase vs one with weight increase in some realistic periodized fashion.
good one vro

The Facebook group or subreddit is probably the best place!

Phelps who? Arnold the governor? He did bodybuilding?
Phelps? I have seen pumping iron but that Arnold guy hasn’t done anything since that I’ve heard about anyway
Who is this Philips guy? Is he the guy on the boat that the Somalis captured? The one that Tom Hanks rescued?
