Simple but it does the job. I had seen an elevator replaced by EMCH also with a metal cabin and a hatch above in a tower near Bienne. I did not understand why a replacement because the old one had already been modernized. In fact, I did not know that in Bern the standards had changed for lifts over 35 meters.
Indeed, it is not really special but it works well for what it's supposed to do. I don't know what the regulations in Biel are like. Now after you've mentioned it: The Emch MRL lifts you and I filmed in the very tall tower block have no fireman's lift and they were installed in 2017. Really strange.
Danke. Genau, diese Anlage ist sehr ähnlich wie der Feuerwehrlift bei euch, einfach halt im "Querformat" anstatt längs, bedingt duch die ungewöhnliche Form des Schachts.
Sassi machines are not bad but I'm uncertain about how long they last. They also claim to be filled with lifetime lubrication, which is something that does simply not exist in the world of heavy machinery unless you don't expect the product to last very long.

@@TheLiftDragon Yes, I watched this video and I liked it but it's a bit strange for me to see 1:1 gearless because I only dealt with 2:1 gearless! Are they designed to be 1:1 or you can convert the 2:1 to 1:1? (maybe it's a naïve question but I don't know😅)
@@Moiraqi817 Gearless machines in general can be used with any roping factor. I have seen 1:1, 2:1 and 4:1 as well. There are also various older Schindlers in 1:1 configuration and top drive that have been modded with ZATop. I will publish a RUclips Short on such lifts soon. In general the roping factor will stay the same as original because else the lift car, sheaves and holes would have to be modified.
Do you know the official year of discontinuation of the OTIS 2000 series, as the 2000 h and E brochures were still up on the Finnish website until around 2015 if I remember correctly.
The Elevator Wiki states 2007 as year of discontinuation, which I say seems realistic. Information from that source should always be handled with extra care as a lot on there is wrong - especially from the technical side. So this should be taken with a grain of salt.
@@veke1069 As I said the information there is not always correct. I imagine the discontinuation date to be different for different countries. Here in Switzerland the change from 2000 to Gen2 happened several years eralier already, with Gen2s from the year 2003 known to me but maybe ther are even older ones.

Nice sharing 👍
Thx
Sehr schöner Aufzug und sehr schöne Kabine👍
Dankesehr
Die Kabine ist echt schön!!
Ist halt ne standard Kabine die die Branschutzvorschriften erfüllt, relativ schlicht.

gutes Video! Aehnliche Kabine wie bei uns!

That is a nice looking compact geared drive machine.

Ja, ich spreche auch Deutsch. Die Texte im Video sind nur auf Englisch wegen des internationalen Publikums.
