London is never going to be affordable again like it was in the 1970s. The problem is anyone with lots of money from anywhere in the world wants to own a property in London as an investment.

Loved it! more affordable homes please as this is more encouraging than the £millions homes. They are nice to see but when you know you can't afford them you just x the video. As for this I have watched from beginning to end and enjoyed it. Jacquline's home is amazing and the area is nice.

Insightful video! I drive down past these developments all the time and have always been curious. Will be interesting to see if they’re able to create cohesion in the area, you can build houses but you can’t build a local community.

Looks great but where are the mature trees and greenery? Probably chopped down to make way for the regeneration...
There was never really greenery there to begin with, the development is being built on what was formerly a power station site. But hopefully they will add greenery as the development continues

The exterior of the development looks quite ugly. Not a fan of the brick colour but maybe it is just me. But the interior of the first home is so pretty, very classy.

Barking is a shithole, despite what Mythbusters has taught us, some turds cannot be polished, but I do find it amusing how hard the council is trying.
I was born in Barking and grew up in Barking. It seems that if you are English and white you can’t buy a property in Barking now.
