    Let’s just ignore toxic fans. I will proudly say in my old age that I lived the era of Tadej, Jonas, Remco, Wout, MDVP and Bini, etc. Tour is beautiful!!

      I will proudly say that of the Lance era. It is what it is and was. It got me into cycling and I fell in love with road cycling from watching those years and the blue train. Same again now. Contador, the Shlecks, Jens Voigt, Cancellara....it's all fucking epic. I wasn't as excited during the froome/sky years...but it was an era. Cycling rocks...and it's a shame it has to end and we only have one more GT to enjoy.

    What a tour. Jonas was incredible with 6 weeks prep, Tadej is on another planet and Remco is amazing and getting better and better. Binay winning green and Carapaz lights it up. One of the best tours I have watched.

    The start of video says it all... Jonnas absolutely trenched in sweat, broken, huge effort & pogi bouncing around as fresh as a daisy, huge energy like he is on magic beans??? This tour started great and Remco was the real winner here and seems a light in the darkness of how this ridiculous pogi show ended, but now the French press go to work. May be a new David Walsh is on his/her way..

    What worries me is that Tadej in the last time trial when he crosses the line, starts to celebrate immediately with his team mates. Normally top TT riders need at least one minute to recover. Either Tadej did not have to go to his limit to beat Jonas and Remco. Or he dopes. But if he doped, he would pretend to be out of breath upon arrival. So, I believe he does not dope. Also, the whole top ten of this tour is driving 30 to 40 Watts faster then before the tour. Probably all the GC teams did an incredible breakthrough on recovery of their cyclists.

    Tp is truly great, but it was a perfect storm. I think with all riders staying upright and healthy before and during the tour next year and teams as well, it will be a truer test of mettle or just also incredible to watch. The dominance factor might not be quite as much.... and to add, Remco actually got a little lesson in pr interviews ;)

  • @epincion

    Hilarious that Remco says he hit back at critics when the fact is he had publicly accused Jonas of having no balls to race when speaking to journalists. Jonas simply let his bike do the talking and beat Remco by a significant margin.
    As to the two ITV commentators (both ex TDF riders), they were hilariously inconsistent in that last ITT. At times saying how Tadej was the very best rider ever as shown by the way he beat Jonas by many minutes and then a short time later saying Jonas was so brave to have ridden the TDF when no one expected him to do so after his very severe life threatening injuries in that crash in April and how Jonas had only had 6 weeks of training before stage one of the TDF so they said it’s no wonder Tadej beat him by minutes.
    Come on guys which is it?
    The reality is that it’s the second explanation thats the truth - Jonas was amazing both mentally and physically to come back to racing and with his first race being the world’s toughest, and to take on UAE with a fully in form Tadej and a fully in form UAE team whereas he Jonas lost Kuss his super mountain domestique a week before the start to covid. It’s no wonder the time gap between 1st & 2nd in GC was minutes.
    The person who should be concerned is Remco who is billed as the new wonder-boy and yet he lost to Jonas and that on a parcour that many said was deliberately picked to favor Remco (and Tadej) as it had no long big mountains (>15 km and average gradient >10%) which lighter climbers like Jonas (& an in form Roglic) excel at. Instead we had medium hard mountains like the final climb in stage 19 =10km and 8% , which suit Pog and theoretically Remco.

    • @valleyem1
      @valleyem1 2 месяца назад +1

      Remco saw Primoz as his rival for third place and Jonas sitting in the wheels on the gravel stage, scuppered the chance of putting big time into him. It is understandable Remco was annoyed, but Jonas did what was best for himself.

    It is amazing how Remco, systematically ticks off, one by one his weak points. Ticked Off: Remco cannot descend, sprint, position in the peloton, climb in the high mountains, not explosive, not strategic, always has a bad day in a grand tour. It is true that there is still a considerable gap with Jonas and Tadej. But to Remco, those are just other weak points to tick off.
