- This is the first video I’m making of the new exhaust I’ve added to my car. I’m sure if you’re here than you should be pretty familiar with the stock exhaust. For my set up I have a custom 3 inch x pipe and dual 3 inch straight pipes. In my opinion it’s the best quality sounding exhaust compared to the regular stock 2.25” straight pipe. Hope to make support for the V6 build. In the meantime I’ll be saving for the supercharger.
For an sxt that sounds pretty good.
what mods do you have on it? it sounds beautiful
🔥🔥🔥
I'm Talking from experience : Don't Put a Supercharger before doing the 3.6L Pentastar Forged Internal from prodigy performance, The Stock Piston Rods Can't Handle The power from a supercharger( the Rods Like to Bend and Destroy Your Engine) Because They Are Thin Rods Also (I suggest Porting the Intake Manifold and Exhaust Ports to Give you Better numbers on the Dyno.
So did you go 3 inches from the x pipe or three inches after the cats
Stock exhaust is 2.25 I believe so I added the x pipe right after the cats and than full 3 inch
❤️❤️❤️
I’m thinking about getting a 18 and making it a Jdm build lowering it and getting this exhaust setup
That’s a dope idea since it would be something special and unique compared to everything out here
If you want a jdm build buy a freakin jdm
How much did that run you? Sounds very nice. I've got a 2019 sxt
Depends on if your local shops have the hydraulic pipe bender to keep the pipe looking clean without shrinkage. There’s only one shop in my area so it ran me $500 for the x-pipe and full 3” exhaust
@@elkarmaracing that's not terrible. Thanks.
@@elkarmaracing can I have a address for the shop brib
@@dynamicofficial9525 It’s Called Fernando’s muffler
One more question. How long after you had the work done did you do this video?
It was probably about a month after but I’ll be doing a one year update on the exhaust soon.
Do you feel more horsepower/performance gain with the straight pipes, from the weight reduction from removing the mufflers and resonators, and allowing the engine to "breathe" better.
The engine will breathe better and helped me feel slight difference in responsiveness because the air was able to flow and got slightly better gas mileage by like a mile or 2 but removing the cats will hurt your performance not improve
removing the mufflers and resonators removes backpressure. which a motor doesn't need but is created when those are on the car so from the factory the computer is tuned to compensate for that backpressure resulting in a loss of power without a tune.
@@lildec817 so a tune would positively affect raw power if the only mods I've done to my challenger is a cold air intake and straight piping the exahust?
@@lildec817 you do not lose power- also with removing the mufflers your reducing weight which helps a bit to- only if you straight pipe without a tune will it negatively affect you
I would have done 3 inch into a flowmaster super 10 or fx
The exhaust rn is temporary since I know a shop that has an exhaust system and supercharger bundle deal.
How’s the drone inside the car ?? And nice set up!
Thank you!! Honestly for me it’s perfect to hear the engine when I’m gassing it, although others have said it’s a bit much for them. My wife and daughter absolutely love the sound notes so I’d say it’s a win
Where’d you start the 3inch piping from?
It started right after the catalytic converters
Sounds too ricey imo….But inside the cabin sound pretty quiet surprisingly…
Unfortunately there isn’t much you can do about that for the V6 models, there’s other exhausts that sound deeper in tone but are much more quieter when revving
K&n cold air intake would make it sound more better and give it 14 more horses
No it wont kid
I don’t know about 14 hp.. maybe 5.. 10 at best. But it will sound better on acceleration. I got it before I did anything to my exhaust.
That’s a v6 smh 🤦🏻♂️
Why do you weirdos get so offended when someone has a v6 YOU get v8 why you worried about what someone else got? 😂
intrepid vibes lol
Why does it sound like a trumpet 😂
Dual 3” from the cats back to the tips? No mufflers or resonators?
Yeah I left the cats in and installed a 3” X-pipe to prevent scavenging in the engine and 3” all the way to the tips no mufflers or resonators
Sound horrible smh
