I'm trying to get back into it.
Yeah this app is absolutely the best and easiest straightforward File transfer app available on the shield in my opinion. Fortunately I haven't had the need for this type of app much until recently. I would always use sneakernet USB or upload files I wanted to move to my Google storage using FX file explorer. For most run-of-the-mill apks I want to transfer between devices this works very well. I will admit however that I've been doing this wrong because there's no need to use a middleman with Google storage at all. I knew there were various easy transfer apps out there but I didn't want to take the time to investigate which one was the best.
Recently however I had a couple large video files that were around 15 to 20 GB each. Very high quality. Clearly moving these files between my tablet and the shield doesn't make sense to use Google storage. It was finally time I installed a file transfer app so the go to around the internet seems to be send anywhere so I installed it and was about to try it but I saw something called Send files to TV in the store and the screenshots looked very straightforward and simple so I figured I would try it. Based on the screenshots alone you can immediately see the simple design and no-nonsense appeal of the app because when it comes to moving files from one device to another you don't need it to be complicated as long as it transfers.
So darn happy that I yried it because I immediately completely uninstalled send anywhere and I'm now hoping the shield community spreads the word about this wonderful app and because it is fully supported by Android TV, found right in the play store without the need to sideload something like send anywhere and you don't have to use a six-digit number code that expires after 10 minutes like send anywhere makes you do, I hope people give it a try because it's fully usable for free. If you appreciate the developers work on this great app then buy it to disable the ads. Personally I'm a big fan of using Google rewards to let the apps pay for themself over time by answering a couple questions each week. Those surveys they pay you to answer are usually no more than three or four very quick questions. I find this is a very easy way to let the apps buy themselves. Certain applications like ADM, SD Maid, FX file explorer are things I use almost dailyor apps that are essential parts of my Android toolkit.Apps are cheap and surveys are quick and easyso get on those Google rewards and by the applications you appreciate to support those developers. It's the right thing to do and it gets rid of those pesky ads.
You can't beat full support on the shield, no need for a mouse and a very very easy simple UI. Absolutely love this app and I will be buying the full version soon to get rid of the ads because the developer deserves to be paid for this work. Best of all it started as a GitHub project that evolved into something better.

I GOT IT INSTALLED ON MY WINDOWS AND IT WORK FINE.....YOU GOT TO GO TO SEND FILES TO TV WEBSITE SCROLL DOWN TO DESKTOP APPLICATION AND CLICK IT ......YOU MIGHT GET A WARNING BUT JUST CLICK KEEP AND THERE IT IS....

It worked however it unable to display on the homescreen. It only able to launch in Xplorer only.

The "Send Files To TV" app is dangerous in it's default configuration. The "RECEIVE" button does nothing other than show you a list of received files. The real option to control the receiving of files is in Settings an is always on by default. It allows anyone on the same WiFi network to send anything to the downloads folder on your phone, even when the app isn't visibility running. Imagine if some weirdo decides to send some dodgy pics to your daughter's phone while you're all in the pub together.

Pickpocket72 I’m pretty sure that you can’t use it like that. Your best options would be sendanywhere or filelinked.

Try using your file manager to navigate to where the file is located and delete from there.

Im using 64gb pendrive as my TV's intarnal storage and I send 25 GB 4k movie . Successfully that file received in pendrive (5ghz) very fast but no issue.
