Hey Doc, great movie thank you. Incredible indeed and thats coming from a South African. One of Europes last wildernesses. The islands are the closest Ive come to the real solitude Im used to, nowhere else comes close in the UK. Ive spent a fair amount of time up there in the Lochs and sea pools chasing bars of silver. Return every year, but this time I'll have my boards, kayak and camper. Do you need a licence to dive and collect scallops for the table? I used to free dive for the family for west coast rock lobster and abalone in the Southern Hemisphere Atlantic (cold water) dead keen to give it a go. Im up in late September.

Fantastic stuff ....I'm hoping to visit Uist in September this year ....We took a group of old Landrovers and their owners up to Islay and Ardnamurchan last year ...AND were so impressed with the friendly welcome we received a return is a necessity. Hoping to visit Uist and possibly cross to Vallay (A friend of mine was up there last month) before ending up on Orkney . I am truly jealous of you living in such a beautiful place
