Beautiful Work, thanks for sharing. Last week a nice young man approached me at hobby lobby and asked if you could complete a model kit in a week. I was taken back but ended up answering "yeah, you could I guess" lol I didn't want to scare him away from getting into the hobby but obviously taking time to thoughtfully prepare and do everything top notch is going to take much longer.
Thanks for the comment. I think you gave that young man a totally appropriate answer. While this model did take years, I've built nice models in a week some even in less than 24hrs. How long does it take to build a model will be one of my future topics. Stay tuned!
Nothing but praise, all the way from Tasmania! (Yes it's a real location) Rapidly becoming my favourite scale auto chanel! Reviewing more of your fabulous builds will make sure if that!
SICK!!! Love the Duvall windshield! Not to mention that color! Plan on showing your black T-bird, that one is my favorite of your builds! Think that one was in S A E? Thanks for sharing Tim! 😎✌️🫡🇺🇸
Wow! You remember that one. Time has not been kind to that one. Perhaps a restoration video in the future? I've even considered building another one. Hmmm.
I can't believe I am just now discovering your channel. It's great !!! Your '29 was definitely one of my favorites at GSLMCC. Fantastic model and video.
Awesome build Tim. Nice research you did. It amazed me how many of these parts I have in my parts boxes that I inherited from my buddy's estate. He must have had a similar idea. I think the only things I don't have are the wheels, the headlight lenses, and a few engine parts.
That's an amazing build - it looks stunning from every direction. I love the way you used well presented, sharp, clear photos to Illustrate your story. A top-notch presentation all round! Thanks so much for sharing.
@@timkustom I really don’t want to make a RUclips page. Do you have an email? I’d like to send you a couple images of some of my bills and tell me what you think.
@@timkustom I kind of over detail sometimes… they turn out great but no matter what I always mess up when putting the glass in it never fails… smudges fogging… and once you do that, no matter how cool the model looks, you’re done
Super awesome ideas, I did a suicide front end on my 29 and the geometry of the old front ends was kind of crazy. I’m super impressed with your 29. Awesome craftsmanship.
Morning Tim, Chris here.......awesome build!!!!!!!! I came across this video because I wanted to see the build process a second time as I watched it before. I have a question......The piece that comes out of the driver's side door to the steering box......can you tell me where they came from? I assume the steering box is in the kit but the piece that is attached to the door seems to be a Replicas & Miniatures piece. If it is, I did not notice it in the video for any aftermarket pieces used. I have a build in mind and I need to replicate that piece and set up. Any info on the parts is appreciated. I also will be getting the finned brakes from Norm as well for my build. I thank you kindly as always Tim.
The steering arm that comes out of the cowl is actually the steering arm in the kit that goes to that steering box. I don't think I used the kits steering box since it mounts to the frame. It probably came from a sprint car since that is the design. Look up "Franklin steering box". Good luck with your build!
The gas cap is a parts box item. I have a pretty deep parts collection, but I believe it to be from an AMT '64 Riviera. Too bad they didn't keep it when it got updated to the common '65.
Great build Tim! When you say a 10" kick up is that 1/25 scale converted into 10.16mm? And is that the total length of that kick up piece or did you add the height of the frame to that? Sorry, new to scratch building and trying to figure out how all these dimensions are made.
The kick up piece is about 10mm. The rear crossmember for the buggy spring drops it back down a little. Before deciding the kick up, I placed the axle/spring/crossmember where I wanted it in relation to the body, then "filled in the blank" to decide the frame kick up. HTH, and thanks for watching!
Sweet builds, just came across your channel the other day, great stuff!
Wow! That's so cool!
love that color-----
Beautiful '29 brother Tim.
Your usual beautiful build quality

Awesome roadster Tim! All of your research and mods created a sweet ride. Thanks for the video 😎👍
Love this build
You are on a whole different level in model building. By far one of the best I've ever seen. Beautiful.
Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks! I wanted it to have the illusion that everything would function if is was a 1:1 car.
@@timkustom that’s what I try to do, like it’s built in a backyard garage. Really dig what you build and would love to see more.
Wow such a beautiful piece of art
Thank you so much 😀
Great looking build… build on 👍
Nice roadster..

Tim, Chris again…….. one last question…….. the gas cap, if not scratch made, who makes it & where did you get it? Thanks again!!!
The gas cap is a parts box item. I have a pretty deep parts collection, but I believe it to be from an AMT '64 Riviera. Too bad they didn't keep it when it got updated to the common '65.
Great! are there 1:12 scale kits for the same?
Unsure of a 1/12 scale. There is a 1/16 scale body from Minicraft. You would be on your own for the rest.

I love this build! More hot rods need Offys! Sad that company is out of business.
Thanks! I like putting unconventional engines in unlikely places. This one was fun!
