Hot rodding is all about building what "you" want. Everybody has an opinion on how they would do it but most of them will never do anything. Looks like you're turning the dream into reality Mate!
Hey Jordan, I know you have a business to run but, your going to have to video the whole build. I know I would love to see it as many of your subscribers would. Great find. The guy you got it from has a gold mine with all the cars and parts. Take care and be safe.
As an Albertan who is building a 28 RPU that is also solid, that pickup being that complete is the find of my dreams. Super cool that it was in Canada too! I'm glad that I found your page, I'm excited to follow the build of your roadster.
Chasing down the car of our dreams with your Dad are memories to be treasured and are worth more precious than gold. I love the Truck its unique but I also love Supercharged Roadsters especially the early 30's you can't beat that time frame. Its gonna look sweet when she's done. And your memories alone of building your dream car will be something you will cherish forever. Cool really cool
Exactly I already know exactly what it’s going to look like, the family will be over next year so it’s time I get to work so Dad and I can take this for a drive!
The stars seem to be aligning for you. Congratulations on your acquisition. I am looking forward to seeing you dive into this project. Safe travels. You had a good bit of help from mom and dad too!
Nice!!!! There really should be a LOVE!! on the like panel. I wand a Model A, truck or Tudor really doesn't matter, but I wanted a 50 Shoebox first. Awesome to start to realize those dreams. Looking forward to what is next!!!!
Hey good for you, a great road trip with your dad, a bit of horse trading were everyone is a winner AND you have the car of your dreams, well done! Looking forward to watching the build.
Hey Jordan, great video, I guess all car guys have visions of what a car will look like from a few parts stacked on top of each other. Can't wait to see the building process. I have a 48 chevy 2 door Stylemaster all original except for the drive train. It has a small block chevy 305 v8 and I love it. Good luck with your build...Ralph
This I will definitely be following! I have a 28-29 roadster body in the USA and a 1932 frame here in Sweden and I'm in need of inspiration. See you along the build.
Well Jordan that's the " piece de resistance " of the trip and well worth the effort and dealing to get it, I will look forward to the build. You have accumulated some great project content for a while to come with the racer, roadster and the olds builds. Cheers Greg
Thanks for taking us along with you and your dad , good times ! And there is sure a lot of cars in that part of Canada from the 20and 30 need to get me one of those LOL.
Hate to see the ARPU go away. However, I also have a finished '29 full fendered roadster that I've had for 44 years. Henry hit a home run with the Model A. 😎😎🤩
A lot of Canadian Model A's ended up in Australia over the last 30 years... how many progressed beyond the body on a frame stage is anyones guess. 😁 I've driven a couple of McCullough Supercharged Studebakers (interesting connections there ) and that whine is unbeatable.
love the channel and the projects! very cool! stumbled across your channel tonight looking for more channels doing hotrod content, using youtube to keep my motivation going for my 27 model t build during the work week while i don't have time to mess with it
I agree, it probably did before the government, with the help of Lee Kerrigan, went on a "scrap metal drive " to clear the country side of " unsightly rubbish " . All those old steam-powered machines that use to be on the farms ,all gone 🖓🖓🖓 but what's done is done 👍👍👍
The pickup was overall just perfect, but I’m 6’7 and got much better (sorta) inside a roadster- and happen to be what I’ve wanted to build for many moons!
I truly have to say that im happy for ya. Those are getting harder to find clean and complete. Ironically my dream truck is the one you traded off lol. Good luck to ya on your journey. I just subscribed so Ill be keeping up with ya
Lovin your videos started watching yours after seeing you and Karl. Kinda working my way backwards. I’m really enjoying the race car build but I’m excited to see this one kick off.
My Dad bought a 32 Ford Coupe for his first car. He loved it and fixed it all up. He got called up for WW2 served and when he came back he found his younger brother who was now a mechanic had turned it into a hot rod. He handed him the keys and moved on! But he always talked about that car.
Jordon, the sad part of this amazing adventure is I won’t ever have the opportunity to see the end product “in the flesh”. It will be grand I’m sure. Safe travels!
Congratulations on your find hope all goes well getting it back I've heard it's cheaper to send a container than one or so part's, anyway all the best to yous and your loved ones
What a great find, good luck , it's going to look sweet with the wide white walls. Loved the video and road trip pictures, I noticed he had an nice little pickup in the storage area in his shop, any idea if he would like to sell it ? I'm interested in purchasing a 30's truck. Keep up the great video's . Thanks
Good evening, I need one of those 32 chassis!!! I'm doing a traditional hot rod, a 30 5 window on duece rails...I have the car(well almost), waiting for delivery...we need a pair of 32 rails
I got into this video late and I didn't get the whole story on the truck. My way of thinking is the truck is rarer than an A roadster and would have been my choice. If you come by some old hot rod or car craft magazines from the early 60's, you would see the California guys did a lot with those trucks.
@@bennettscustomsco I'd be super keen to hear who you use to send it back/what the process is like (Australian living stateside but wanting to send stuff home).
If you look at the little icon picture , it`s a 32 hi-boy roadster that`s in my garage .. Had it about 2 years and love driving it .. Found it near Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania USA . . . . PS Do you have any decals ? I also am a BENNETT .......... Live in Ohio
Greetings from Calgary, found your channel a few days ago, have binge watched all the race car already. Great stuff, with the fantastic fabrication and engineering. Just curious why the 32frame is so much better, too young to know much about cars of the thirties. Great to see your dream car in your hands, can't wait to watch more videos.
Hey. We need to compare notes... Also live in your same hood. Have jalopy off roader and just acquired a 25 Roadster pick up with a Sears and Roebuck bed.. Patina to kill for. Runs.

It just is amazing people can still find these treasures! At 74 not able to build that dream car anymore.
Well I’ll build one for the both of us!
Why not?
Sweet, i really liked the little truck though.

Cool I will be following along.
This roadster body is a 28, taillight bracket is bolted to the rear sub frame. On a 29 the taillight bracket is bolted to the fender.
Thank you for the confirmation!
Yes, it's even a 28 "drum" taillight.

Often times muzac sounds Toby Lee🎼🎵, a peogeut guy in Australia. Safe travelling

Man you sure found a honey hole, look forward to the build. What are the logistics on getting that sweet roadster back down under?
Many many hours of paper work and a long sail across the pond! Fingers crossed it makes it safely

keep the roadster pickup !
Sorry I think you drew the short straw 😮💨
The man wants a Hot Rod Roadster, not a pickup, so I get it. I love RPU's, but a dream is being born. Keen to watch this build.
Fortunately my straw was long!
I was thinking pink slip for pick slip would of been fair , But when its your dream car you do whatever it take
We'll have to ask your woman if you got the long straw 😜
Seems to me that the pickup is worth quite a bit more than the roadster.
To some maybe but to me it was deal you both came out winning

Unfortunately just a yard piece at this date
Looks like a solid 34 pickup sitting there. Is it for sale?

What s he doing with the truck it would make a great project
Storing it for me! 😆
Great project. I'm doing one very similar and will follow yours with great interest.
Great to hear Eric!

Definitely can, but this one’s getting cut. Don’t want any repo stuff on here.
Are any of the others that were in the background where you went available by chance?
Unfortunately not.
