- In episode 3 we document the "barter bobber build" A 1976 Harley Davidson Ironhead;
a rigid frame, springer front end chopper. I bartered for this bike and I think the deal worked out. I did may cosmetic changes and improvements to get the bike to this stage. She's ready for her next home!
Crazy how just cleaning something and just adding a few tasteful add in’s can really make a bike. My last bike I got super cheap. Honestly thought it was just going to be parts. After getting it home though and pulling things a part and just cleaning everything up from neglect it started to just glow. Turned out to be one of my nicest bikes and it gets ridden lots.
Thats awesome man! Taking a chance and having a little vision goes a long way!
This is exactly what I have in mind, for my 77.
Love your bobber/sporty builds!
The Ironhead i just so beautiful 😎 I wish I still had my old XLCH, this is exactly how I would have built it had I still owned it. Ride safe 😎
Thank you! It was a fun little build.
Love what you did with that, and did it the old skool bobber way. Thanks for the great ideas. Best wishes and stay safe and well to you all in the US 🇺🇸 and your families from England UK 🇬🇧.
Thank you! We used to live in Loughton, in Essex.
This is great man, especially the seat. It’s nice to see people still doing leather work and considering how well that seat came out I’d say you’re pretty good doing it. Leatherwork and building motorcycles are two cool skills, I’ve grown up around a lot a cowboy culture so leather work was something I enjoyed. Motorcycles, on the other hand are completely new to me, I just started building a bike about 5 months ago and I hope it’ll come out as great as yours did.
Thank you!
This is dope brotha. I just traded a couple pistols for a 97 sportster as well. It’s a great feeling building a Harley and not really have a lot of $ in it
That is a nice bike. Very respectable looking.
Lots of good ideas here. Love the seat leather. Looking forward to watching more of your build videos. 👍
Thank you, thank you! Got two more builds I'm wrapping up! Should be online here this week!
Man..its really cool..well done.
Hey, thank you!
I love your chopper man! Wish it was mine. Thank you
Hey, thank you!
Love that AMF tank!
Yes, I'm a huge fan of the old AMF tanks! They're just pretty pricy to get your hands on these days.
Love that tank. Kinda makes me think of what to do with my 76 build.
SaddleTramp thanks! My dad had an old AMF sportster and that inspired me to get this tank for this bike. Good luck with your build!
That's a really nice seat great job on the bike
Thanks. Had a lot of fun piecing it together!
I am definitely enjoying the look of this sporty, very tastefully done my man! I’d love to see the primary and oil filter blacked out as well … but that’s just my taste . In no way am I inferring that she doesn’t look sweet just the way she sits. Very well done 👍
Bike is looking good 👍
Thank you!
Nice work there, looks really clean.looks like a Proper Sportster now 👍
Thank you!
Got a nice sportster build in the works. Hope to have a vid for it later this week.
I will explain
You should call it the zero fuks bobber, nice job sir.
Haha. Thanks!
Awesome!
I want this bike
I like it brotha. Im working on a barder deal. I want to build my own bobber/old school chopper
Thats awesome man! Make it happen. I've bartered for at least 6-7 bikes over the years.
Nice very nice...
Thank you!
Not a Harley guy but that's a NICE bike. My aunt has a 76 or 77 Sportster that she wants me to bob for her. I'm glad i'm not the one one who recycles Couch leather either, I've been doing it for years. Why pay $200 for a leather pelt when people are giving away/selling leather couches, love seats and couches dirt cheap on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace?
What were the first bars u had on the bike?
nice job , wld be nice if he turned it on, drove it abit....what size engine cc?500
Its a 1,000cc motor.
@@twopencemoto4759 HOW much hp u think 75?
@@mml1224 Nah, probably like 40.
@@twopencemoto4759 i hav saki900 , with 55hp, weights 685, how can you hav only 40hp with 1000?
@@mml1224 It's an old bike. Plus these old Harleys don't make much power unfortunately.
cool vid
Thank you!
If I should of seen this before and I would've sold you the seat. I have one that shape.
No worries.
I have a 1973 bobber looks like the one you were building. I'm selling it. If someone has a 1911 pistol maybe trade or cash..
Nice
Been looking to trade music gear for an old Harley... Just added a marshall half stack. Lol
Brilliant. lol
Awsome..
Thank you!
Sick
Thank you!
Motercle very2 beutifuul my friend
Man what a price for the bike. In Australia, that’s at least 14K to buy
When you find one for that price let me know!!!!
Awesome look! Do you know what the rake is on the frame?
Thank you! I'm honestly not sure of the rake. I'm about to put a springer front end on a 93 Softail and it's going to be 2" over. That video, coming soon!
She's a beaut! 👊💨"
Thank you! Working on a little softail project now
Thank you!
Really nice bike but with all due respect, not feeling the seat. Otherwise, its great.
No worries, thanks!
Looks good, does it run?
Thanks. Unfortunately it wasn't up and running at that time.
What front end did you use?
It's from TC Bro's.
Never started it...
Ya, it wasn't quite road ready.
☺ 👍 ⚡
Работа сделана бляцъ и вощщем молодец.
Words can't express how much I hate those penis seats but cool build man.
Nice tank, but 4 seat I would have gone for a bitch pad 🤘🏻👊🏻
Painting everything with a rattlecan - and wheels while on the bike? Come on man.
Plus, remove the risers.
I liked the build until the seat, that just killed the bike 🤢
What no startup boo 😒
Well she wasn't quite ready for the road at that point unfortunately.
Harley most over rated motorcycle in thee world lol
