When are we expecting part 2? Definitely interested in results. I just started sublimation and have been doing htv but all of my shirts are cotton Gildan blanks.
I absolutely love your videos. I am waiting for my heat press to arrive and I am brand new to this aspect of crafting and your videos are so amazing and informative, you literally answer questions I didn't realise I should have.... Thank you for sharing your knowledge... Be blessed
I'm excited to see how it is after the wash!! I am waiting for all my sublimation items to come in!! I came across your page and it gave me the push to finally do it!!!
As someone who is just getting into sublimation I am excited to be able to do cotton shirts too. I am curious as to how far ahead you can prep your shirt before sublimating on it and of course how it holds up after washing. I know that most treatments for sublimation say to wait at least 24 hours before washing. Thank you for another great video.
I’ve been using it for a year on all my 100% cotton shirts. I spray it on and let it air dry before sublimating on it. Washed mine inside out and hang to dry and looks just like if I used a Polly shirt.
@@shelbyaucoin3469 yep I hang them up in a line and stay fronts and backs and let them all air dry. I usually do about 5 of each size on Sunday for the week and if I need more I’ll spray them the night before and let them dry over night
I've tried this spray several times and cannot get the bright, vibrant look without a ton of spray. Then it's hard and doesn't wash out. It also turned yellow. I'll have to try again with your instructions. I know they're the same as the ones that came with the spray but watching you and following along might help. Thank you very much for this video!! Looking forward to the wash test. 💖🤩😍💖🤩😍💖🤩😍
Can't wait to see the results. It would be great to use on 100% cotton. I bought a different brand liquid spray and thinking of trying it out. Hopefully good results. Can't wait for the next video.
I am ready to see part two. I just purchased this spray 2 days before I just seen this video and I hope I made a good purchase! It looks great I just hope it holds after washes!
Hi Really like your tutorial but mine did not work. I set my heat press at 400 and did everything as instructed and I got a really big yellow burn stain on my shirt. It was awful. So what I plan to do tomorrow is. I cut the remaining shirt into strips of fabric and going to test pieces of material with the spray and then heat press for at different temps and times until I get it right. Hoping this still works for the cotton and the spray after testing
Hello I am just getting into sublimation and was wanting to know what is your best recommendation on a heat press and how do you know when the pressure is heavy, light, or medium?
I’ve used this, I done just a gerber onsie for sampling and after pressing it was stiff but After washing it took all the stiffness away, I washed 3-4 times and the colors still looked just like when I pressed it, my only down fall is I don’t want to sell items with a stiff feel but don’t want to wash them and them no longer be “new”
so no need for DTF paper or powder ? this method is much easier for sure but wondering if that's enough for the colors to stay..I have been watching videos and they use tranfser clear paper and put heat powder...another question please, any recommendation for on budget epson sublimation printer?
Hey Sallie, I'm kinda late to the party, but about how many projects do you get out of the ink cartridges that come with the sawgrass printer? I'm still on the fence about buying one. The ink seems very expensive.
I love ur videos! I'm wondering if it's possible to do the bleaching and the coating? I just hate white t-shirts I ruin them bc I'm a disaster when it comes to not staining clothes 😅 . I just watched ur bleaching tutorial b4 this one and I'm excited to try!
I’m kind of new to sublimating on cotton. I think I’m missing something lol The shirt you made is it cotton or polyester? The heading says cotton but you said polyester so I’m confused. I have made sublimation shirts and I put butcher paper inside of the shirt so it doesn’t bleed through and I also use butcher paper on the top while I’m pressing, I haven’t had an issue with it sticking to the shirt. Why did your stick was it because of the spray? Just thought I’d ask. Thank you
Thank you so much for doing this... Your tutorial was so easy to follow!!! So I just attempted this on a black shirt and didn't have good luck with it... have you by chance tried it on a dark colored cotton shirt or is this where sublimation limits you?
What transfer paper do you use? I’m about to get started with my business and I just want to double check that I have all the correct stuff. Love your videos! 🫶🏼
She explains in the instructions and tells you what to do so it doesn’t happen. It’s bleach and you can spray peroxide and wash prior to using her spray
Does the whole area you sprayed have that feel, or just the area where the ink sublimated? I would love to see it compared to a “control” sample - like if you can save that other shirt press the same design but DON’T wash - for comparison. Of course….you might have already done all the testing and pre-recorded these. 😂
🚨QUESTION OVER HERE, does anyone have a good excel spreadsheet or free platform for business KPI’s and the ins and outs of budgeting my business. I just want to make sure I’m jlkeeping stuff in line. Anything will help 🙏

Me as well
I tried this a few years ago and after washing it wasn’t so good. I hope you have a better wash result than I did. Can’t wait to see

You have been using the spray for over a year and have gotten no fading? Did you use the same spray Sallie did? Thank you @McCreaFamilyHomestead.
So you can just let it air dry? You don’t have to press it prior?
@@jerridyke68 yes and no fading

Omg, I can’t wait to see what your shirt looks like after a few washes!!
Love it!!
It looks great. I'm curious to see how it looks after washing, and how long it lasts also. Thanks Sallie.
I'll definitely update asap! Thanks for watching!
Sally have you been able to do the video on it after washing?
Did I miss the follow up video (Washing) I couldn't find it anywhere.

I followed this to the last detail. The shirt that I did for my wife came out amazingly!! Thank you!
how has it held up after washing?

Yes I totally understand! I personally wouldn't sell the items with it until ive tested it thoughly, but I think it would do well with personal items!
Maybe just call these items pre-washed!
Just give treatment instructions letting them know

Dtf prints white so it’s not the same. With sublimation your shirt color will always be the lightest color as it doesn’t print white
Hi, where is your part 2. I am already excited to see the result.
I love everything fall too! Where did u get that image of the coffee?

very interesting, interested to see it done with darker t-shirts, would be very time consuming for large orders, but very cool
I would do screen printed transfers for larger orders and dark shirts. Better use of time and resources, IMHO. :)
@@jerridyke68 true, but lots of people are still in the crafters stage and dont have access to Stahls for transfers, this would be a good entry
This will mot necessarily help with darker shirts as there isn’t white ink in sublimation. Your shirt will always be the lightest color
Great Video....wonder how well it will work on dark colors. I like doing sublimation, just don't like only doing it on light colors.
Dark fabrics don't work well with sublimation. Sublimate your image on white glitter htv vinyl first then press it onto the tshirt
Where is the follow up video on how it stands up to washing??? I am curious to know this!

one more question, can I use cricut easy press instead of the one you used in the video?
I would think so!
You cannot. You need the heavy pressure of a heat press
Was there a part 2? How did it wash?
So overwhelming the diffferences. So is this and Dtf the process for sublimation on cotton shirts ? Is it the same for colored cotton shirts
Can I apply the same process for printing on tote bags?
