Wish I could post a photo. My kids made it for Halloween. One dressed as Owen Grady and the one in the raptor costume went as Blue. Great tutorial. If you are making this, ensure you add some reinforcement to the hula hoop frame.

As someone who's done studio work I'll say this is a good approach, with some refinement and practice it could be something pretty damn hardcore.

Flyknit I know my reply is two years late, but you could (I did this with an R2D2 costume xD) cut a little hole into the body and tape an old camera or phone to it. So you switch on the camera and you'll be able to see because if the screen.

When your done how do you see
Rig up a camera system
Low tech solution if you're trying to make this look more impressive- use carving foam to flesh out body and put sheets of pantyhose over it instead of tarp. At eye level, leave a slot where there is no foam in the clavicle area, but stretch pantyhose (you don't want a high denier, something more sheer) over the opening. Paint with airbrush and create natural stripes in this area to disguise the opacity where your eyespace is.
