What kind of journalism is this? What was the link? Was this ship and sold by Amazon or a 3rd party? Who was the seller and why was the refund pending? How is this supposed to be informative or educational?
Shame on Amazon. It shouldn't have required a call from a television news team to get this simple refund issue resolved. The quality of customer service continues to decline and the giant corporations like Amazon don't care because each complaint is "just one person" among a market of billions. They really don't care about you. Remember this and vote with your dollars. Spend locally where you are appreciated and responsive customer service continues to exist.
How come you didn't just buy them a new recliner? I know old people don't internet but one of you could have gone on marketplace for a fraction of the cost.
