I really dig your alternative history. I'm a newbie, just getting into designing my first prototype as a simple 2x4' in n scale... just to get my feet under me and get most of the inevitable, basic failures out of the way. My impression, as I browse around, is that people can get a bit too hung up on things not being prototypical. Ultimately, these are toy trains. Yes, we can put all of the care in the world, and thousands of hours over years into vast, stunning layouts, but they're still just toy trains for big kids. But your entire narrative is extremely well thought out and presented. A really nice way to model what you want to model.

Thanks! I think the beauty of the hobby is that you can focus on what really scratches your particular itch. I agree, I know of many folks that really REALLY focus on being as prototypical as possible. Others want to focus on building a layout that really speaks to a particular time in the past that they value and almost want to recreate in the small scale. I think as long as we're not judging others that have a different emphasis, that freedom to focus on the aspects that really speak to us is one of the best parts of building a model railroad.

Looking good! Thanks for sharing. I especially like the middle module. I'm guessing those back to back crossovers on the main are ME #10's? I'd like to see some video of trains snaking through that trackage. You may have mentioned in other videos but any plans to extend beyond 3 modules? Perhaps staging modules to feed trains onto these three?
    Cheers,
