      Thanks again for watching the vids! Your support is awesome.
      Yes, I would highly suggest you pick up some Bladeguard because they are awesome units.

    Mine hasn't arrived yet (in the mail at the moment), but from looking through the product photos of this figure, the way you've attached it, with it stretched out around the top of the backpack, is how JoyToy was doing it, so that does appear to be the intended method.

      Thanks for the input as always! LMK how you position the cape when you get your figure.

      @@matthewyoho5422 Ok good to know. I ended up playing around with the buckle side so that it doesn't stick up from the shoulder portion too much

    I put the right side of the cape under the shoulder armor. It looks better this way than sticking out. I really like this figure!

      Yup, this is correct.

      Thank you! I will have to try this out. The way that the captain looks right now...looks...well not right.

    Despite the build limitations, I love these chunky captains - I am waiting for him to arrive and lead my heavy intercessors team. I already own Icastus and I would love to switch the default helmeted head here with the Titus-like head from the Icastus figure: do you think this to be possible? Thanks and the Emperor protects.

    • @SpruesNStuds
      @SpruesNStuds  Год назад +1

      Of course you will need a Gravis Captain with Heavy Bolt Rifle to lead your Heavy Intercessor!
      Yes, you can switch the heads back and forth between the JoyToy action figures regardless if they are version one or version 2. They use the same ball and socket mechanism.

    How would you compare this to the new Ultramarines Captain in Gravis Armor Version 2? Is the scale the same? The word on this model seems a bit comical since it seems super chunk and short

    I don't know how the cape sits actually I'm a fan of gravis armor I'm also hoping they revisit the aggressors without the new joints on there gravis armor tho

    • @SpruesNStuds
      @SpruesNStuds  Год назад

      I am thinking that perhaps the new joints would help with the posing? The V1 aggressors tend to be a little bit harder for me to pose because of the relatively small ankle joints.

    Mmmm, im not a fan of this armour, those hoses back in the legs are weird looking. Well, in view of the issues of this figure ill pass on it. Cant wait for the primaris techmarine. Hope JT will do a chaplain and a apothecary also. Thanks for the review man, nice work!

    • @SpruesNStuds
      @SpruesNStuds  Год назад

      Thanks for your support! At this point in time, I would think JoyToy is making a crap ton of money on their action figures so as long as people are buying, there would be no reason for them to develop a chaplain (I hope they do because the primaris chaplain is bad ass) and an apothecary.
      I'll be honest, I am not too much of a fan of Gravis armor either (the chonky one). It's too bulky IMO.

    i dont get the pricetags on those figures. The figure in this video cost 99 dollars on the offical site, wich is nuts. Other figures that are simiar euipped and stuff cost 60 dollar, that we have single figures over a 100 dollar mark with no reason. I just dont get the pricing system.

    • @SpruesNStuds
      @SpruesNStuds  Год назад

      Typically special character figures will run anywhere between $70-80. Normal character figures will be around $60-70. Your grunt figures should be $40-50 from my experience. The price will vary between different sites but I would highly recommend going to either CoolToysClub or Flyimatoy. Their prices fall into the range that I mentioned above and they are both legit websites

    It’s a bit of a fail from Joytoy. I’d only pick this up if i was a real hardcore ultramarines fan.

      I agree with you on this one. I picked it up for the purposes of the channel but also at the same time, kind of like the heavy Gravis captain look.
