Idk if you remember or not but a little while back I asked for good luck on making a team, and I made it! Thx lol
Congrats!!!!! 🥳
@@miriamvisser5647 thx!
Ay nice job bud
Way to go bud!!
@@CoachJeremy thx!!!!
Lol I feel old. I had the Aluminum twig, the Titan, and that exact helmet and cage. All used unironically haha. But I also used that TPS response, easily my fav stick of all time.
Thought It was just me😂😂😂
Lol. Northland and Sherwoods for me.
I’m 58 years old. I remember the top of line stick was KOHO, $25, all wood, of course. It was about as flexible as a piece of rebar and just as heavy. Oh, owned a pair of Lang skates, too.
When Jeremy posts i watch it ameditly sometimes when he doesn't I re watch some of the old ones
Same
If it pops up and it is old I’ll watch it if its new I am desperate to watch it
Easton aluminum stick was my favorite stick to use. Also had a titan but had a plastic goalie replacement blade in it.
Nice to see some vintage gear and twigs out there, brought back some good memories. Koho 221 was one of my faves, along with Christian's which were light but had brittle blades. Canadien and SherWood were also solid, but Titan's were king for durability
I like how you test out literally everything in hockey
Jeremy the best hockey coach ever I love the fact that u made me want to try playing hockey I was a really good. Skater and shooter before but now I’m amazing thanks
Ur amazing keep up the good work
Also that ccm jet speed stick I have but I have the Crosby stick
But ur better than Crosby
I wana get the coach Jeremy stick
He's yet to upload the on-ice version. Either that, or I don't know which one it is.
2:29 💀💀💀
Pavel Barber, Zac Bell, Nasher: reviews hyperlite gear
Every other hockey youtuber: reviews hyperlite gear
Jeremy: Reviews old school gear
Hope you enjoyed my Hyperheavy review
did you get a Hyperlite box because if you didn't come on bauer
"I Have been working on my hands in the office" immediately loses puck XD
oh damn the white and black quests, everyone had those lol. fedorov and those white nike skates really set them off
!!!!!! watched the video 10 times !!!!!!!
Most underrated hockey RUclipsr
very cool, brought back memories of all the sticks i used over time, literally starting with the old titan, remember i had to order the TPS from the states before that was even a thing lol also had the first synergy, the first bauer one piece. remember getting the first comoposite one piece from easton, it all changed from there so fast
Old Stick, New Gloves
In my first year I had to use a KOHO stick because my cousins Sherwood Spezza was too stort, I didn’t score with it but I wasn’t terrible, not a bad option
I still have an aluminum stick in my garage. Might have to bring it to a roller game and start whacking shins.
Husband and I sitting here watching your video with our kids and he turns to me and says: "my aluminum is "vintage", I've had mine since peewee about 30 years ago and it's still my go to. I still have a box of blades for it too.🤣". I have to admit, at least his aluminum has never snapped like the 3 composites he went through 2 seasons ago.
Really??
just watching this now, I used to have an aluminum Easton 2 piece hockey stick that I got out of a garbage can watching my Dad play on a Saturday morning, it was left handed and he got a right handed blade, I only used it for Roller hockey and street hockey as a kid, but you could slash and chop like a logger with metal shafts, no wonder they are banned... I do wish two pieces would come back, the Easton Zbubble is one of the best sticks ever made!
I like a flatter curve tbh. Especially for ball hockey. If the ball rolls down or up you heal or toe it comes right off.
Idk Why, But Hockey is sooo fun to watch. Nice Job Jeremy
So I stopped playing hockey at 18 in 2008, picked it back up this year and went to use the same gear... Mostly wooden KOHO sticks and some ultra stiff Easton twigs -- how much different is it from the new modern composite stick? I've been stunned at how much better people are with their shot since I was a kid and I'm guessing it has to do with the Sticks
I grew learned to play on an outdoor roller rink with an insanely rough surface so all used/old/disposable equipment was used to play because that surface destroyed everything it touched over time lol. Nothing like playing a full 4v4 or 5v5 in the 2010s and everyone including the goalies are using cheap woodies from Dick’s lol. Everyone used wood 5030s or Kohos or they used a composite shaft with a wood/ABS blade. Something so satisfying about dangling and shooting with a $25 stick from a sporting hood store lol.
Gold gloves look comfy
Good idea Haden
It doesn't matter what gear it is, it's called SKILL to make you GOOD
I agree
yep true but if you struggle with weight maybe new sticks
@@karstenpowsey9085 yes exactly there's no best gear just go with what feels better
The more skillfull you are the more better gear improves your game. When your a hack it doesn't matter what tools you use. But when you are an artist the quality of the tools improves the quality of the results.
Nah, you can get much speedier slapshots with a composite at the same level
Still using a wood Sherwood pmp, Bauer 92 skates. Back in the day we took the laces out of those gauntlets for more flexibility.
Back in my peewee days I was at a tourney in Michigan and they had a vendor with new composite sticks. I told my dad if I score a goal in our game that day that he had to buy me a stick. He said sure ( I played D and wasn't known to light up the score sheet). Posted a hatty that game and got myself a shiny new TPS Response as my first composite stick! He never agreed to that deal again 🤣
Personally, I like the wooden sticks better than the composite sticks. I feel that after you get used to it, you have better puck feel with them.
They make still (I think?), the heads that are of wood in the traditional plywood style and wood with the thin fiberglass for this very reason for the feel some players and pros want. Some even put a smaller wood shaft into the carbon fiber or fiberglass handle part to have it more solid and help the feel. There was a brand that made a solid fiberglass stick in the 2000's not sure if a similar stick is made that was meant to have the feel of wood being a solid fiberglass stick but with the durability.
yeah I get what your saying recently switched over to a composite stick. I used a wooden stick for the longest time.
Hey does anyone know where that roller hockey rink that is?
Looking at my pile of sticks while watching this video. I have the Easton Aluminum, a Titan pro and a KOHO wooden from the mid '90's and 4 first generation Easton Synergy composites. Lol
2:30, if it was soccer, you’d be out for 2 years
Holy Kaprizov that was the longest 4 weeks ever.
Sorry, we were working on the new app and a new Stickhandling course for The Pond
i have a blcak tps8 response and i use it for roller hockey with my friends and road hockey i like it alot
Hi Jeremy - In your upcoming videos, could you please measure your shots with a radar? I’d like to have reference data points when practicing my ball shots.
As a kid I started out with the same cooper 800 helmet before I move on to the cooper sk2000. Now I wear a jofa that my brother bought back in '95
A 395??. Or a 390??
@@AnnWahlquist I wear the 390. My daughter wears the 395
@@billnyethesciencedenier6701 Swedish retro....😁😁
I'm so glad I live in the woods so I can ride my mower while wearing a medieval helmet and flailing a hockey stick around like a madman
ahahah had a blast passin the puck around, cant wait for obhl season to start alot of goals coming
good thing you had the keys bud!!
When those aluminums came out, I wanted nothing to do with them.
I have a few wood sticks from back in the day. Been wanting to make something out of them, but.. lazy
I've tried Them, didnt like it....
I have the aluminum Easton stck I got it as a gift from an older buddy of mine when I told him I wanted to get into hockey
Them: it’s the carpenter, not the tools
Them when they mess up: ITS THE TOOL
I still have the aluminum twigs. And that blade I used once til it broke. Never wore old skates like that. It does not matter what ya used long as you can use it
That’s cool😂
I would use new gloves old sticks
Good videos keep up the good work
Pit vipers are looking smooooth
For me, I would choose new gloves and old stick.
I agree
government: hey if we lock the nets together no one will shoot here
hockey players: 1:50
Still dont see whats wrong with shooting on a roller hockey rink net
I had the black and yellow TPS response with the weird rubbery grip. Probably still have it, never broke.
The Old Sticks WERE AMAZING!!!!
Hello Louise!!! How Are you Doing?
I've used a aluminum street hockey stick, I'd say it ain't the best, at least for me.
I would do new glove and old stick because I used a wood stick a while long time ago and the old gloves look impossible to use
I have a koho vector I have from 1996. Ya sure tps was first I can be wrong. I’m no pro on sticks but I am good on equipment I own a lot. Old Easton donzi real leather gloves. Love them.
The Koho Vector is a composite shaft that you have to put a wood blade in. Easton made the first once piece composite shortly followed by TPS which is why I said “one of the first one piece sticks”
@@CoachJeremy yeah I used a Koho Mario blade in it. And I have like 10 aluminum sticks I have old sher wood Coffey curve.
I used a Roenick model Aluminium stick all through high school. 4 years of competative games. I think I had to change my blade a half dozen times. Still have the shaft. Those sticks were great for durability. I've always thought it was weird that modern players don't have multiple types of sticks for situations like golphers do. Why not have an Aluminium unbreakable stick for PK, an even whippier than normal stick for the PP and something in between for normal situations? I mean it seems obvious right?
I use an old Easton for street hockey
hi sir how are you..u r all videos superb..😊
The TPS it is Martin St. Louis stick
Best part of video...." if this was the nba id be out 2 week"
Fr he prolly would
😂 those Lange hockey skates were the worst. You may as well put blades on ski boots. I had bauer supremes in the day. Liked them but thr tuuk blade holder was weak. The blade itself held a good edge. Rebok Tacks were my favorite. Handed them to my nephew when I moved here.
Dangles all day 🔥
“if this was the nba id be out for 2 weeks” 2:31
i forget that he exists until he posts like 3 months later jokes aside youve got to upload more often
true it's been 4 or 5 weeks since he uploaded and he says he makes vids every week
I have used Easton aluminium stick....
Did you put flooring at that rink???
Old gloves and new stick for me
I like the Old hockey sticks
I would probably prefer the new stick and the old gluvs
Whenever I see something Easton brand, I think about it hard, because my name is Easton!
Jeremy you should do more goalie vids
Nice vid
I still use wood sticks!
Hi your the best
My stick was wood, no curve, in goal I had 4" ads from ankle to under the knee, one inch chest protector, no helmet or mask.
Did you get a cool Bauer hyperlite box too?
ya Nasher and hockey tutorial got it.
I'd stick with normal gear cuz I'm a beginner.
“If this was the NBA, I’d be out for 2 weeks” 💀
You should do ball hockey on ice
Um when I first started playing hockey I had a wooden stick and I took a clapper and it broke.
Hi jeremy
How is Haden use ing that ikspsiv stick
Have you got your ball hockey team name?
I use to love the old Ronnie Francis Louisville's. And if I had to use a heated blade the old Jeremy Ronick Easton in various sticks.. I was also a big fan of my Micron Air 90s.
I still have my aluminum stick from the 90s.
No Hespeler hockey stick??
Sherwood 2050 best ever Also had an aluminum Christen
the part 2s are killing me
Those brown gloves look like oven mitts
I would rather have new gloves and an older stick because I already use a wooden one on a regular basis. I've never actually never used a compisent stick
Bro I have those Nike Bauer gloves I got them 5 years ago at play it again😂😂(not to play in, I’m a goalie I just thought they were cool)
Pretty sure all the kids had an aluminum Gretzky sticks in 2000 🤣
I wish Doug Ford would open Ontario back up
New Gloves Old Stick
Sidney Crosby curve?
I wonder why on the tps stick it said Louisville cause I live there
If I had no choice I would use the vintage maybe
You gotta use the roller skates that’s vintage
no way i have the same exact easton in my garage
I have old Nike Bauer skatez
called out the nba hillarious hahah
Hi
