@@Biggaelle I think easiest to learn on is a swim jig with a paddle tail trailer. Just cast it out past where you think they will be let it sink and then get it about a foot or two off the bottom and just swim it...kill it right at the cover or whatever you were casting at and then let it sink, once you pop it up and start swimming it again is typically when you'll get the bite, but you'll also get them on the fall too so just watch your line
Love the vids. I wish I had more confidence in the jig. The few bass that I did catch on the football jig were definitely more quality bass. I basically dragged it on the bottom slowly, so I can't wait to try the sweep and reel. Thanks!
Thanks for a great video! Really into jigs but lots to learn and just building confidence. Stupid question here…does this technique apply to most times of the year or is it season specific? Thank you!
I love pitching jigs and finesse jigs on visual cover and grass lines, one of my favorite ways to get ‘em. I’ve only gotten a handful off shore on a football. But it’s football season gotta put some time into it.
Bro, true story. I just left the lake and used this and not only caught my PB, but also caught the most fish I ever have (8). Idk if it was the weather, but every app said it would be a slow day. Absolutely wild. 😅
I have caught more bass with a football jig than any other lure. I have flipped it, pitched it, swam it, dragged it, and fast swim retrieve and even slow retrieve working the water column. You will get bit.
Three things I look for. Horizontal line tie. Living rubber. EWG hook. Hand tied. It cannot be beat. And I know. I’ve thrown football jigs exclusively for the last 20 years. I simply do not lose jig fish. The only one I will throw is Skinny Bear Jigs. Don’t fix something that ain’t broke! 😎👍🏻
Jigs are my confidence bait! So I love learning all I can about them
Bro, take it to the next level... Make your own. 200 bucks to get started on your first 50 plus jigs
Do you have any tips for jigs?? I can't seem to ever get bit on them and switch back to my T-rig or Ned after about an hour or two
The private lake that I go to, there is so much vegetation there that it is impossible to fish a jig in it.

I definitely want to be able to fish a jig there. But it would be very difficult, if not damn near impossible.
Wow. It makes sense. Most of the time people always say drag it slowly on on the bottom. Never occurred to fish it a tad bit more aggressively
GREAT video! This is one of the best I've seen for juice about fishing football jigs. Please keep these type of videos coming!
This podcast is FIRE man. Keep doin it for sure
Great info guys!
I tried this football jig technique last Sunday after watching this video. I had my best day of the summer.

Day 2 was tough. Plenty of guys didn't limit.
Can you really cast a ¾oz lure with a 😮7'-4" heavy fast rod 50 yards with a baitcaster
Prime
If you are looking to sweep it fast, why not use a swing head instead?
That was talked about
I have swam a football head jig and have caught more bass than using a swim jig.
Thought he was gonna say he was working it like a jerkbait
