I was recently at an 80ies Roof-Top-Party in Bangkok ant the DJ played some KLF stuff in his set.The folks all i their 20/30ies goes totally bonkers. Rel good music never gets old.

Dance started to come in its very early inception in 1988, then the summer of acid in 1989, it grew again. By 1990, it was in its third phase like here, it's fourth and final phase was in 1992 - 1994. I would say that KLF and this tune were 3 year's plus ahead of their time. This song spawned eurodance, 2 unlimited, The Shamen and even The Prodigy.
@@tigerfeet2813 At least here in the US, there was no Metro available with a Turbo. But the Metro’s predecessor (Chevy Sprint) WAS available with a turbo.
I remember that I saw this clip for the first time on TV (no internet at that time) and I immediately wanted to buy their album as an audio cassette, some time after I had a panic attack and their music really helped me overcome my pain and feel stronger, I was listening all the time from morning to night, i still listening to their songs at the présent, this band is just mythical, r.i.p Ricardo da Force, almost 10 years he's gone...
It's Grim Up North on Drummond and Cauty's hoodies - roughly a year and a half before they (as the JAMS) had a top 10 single with the song of that name. They had the whole mythology planned out well.

Kicking out trance and house with live instruments is hopefully the next big global music trend. I've been waiting over 20 years to get a band that does it properly .... Check out the showhawks, trance anthems on two acoustic guitars... And here, when you have the keyboard player upfront playing (I know it's a backing track) the vibe is so much better. Great tune great projects and great guys ....
Cressida Cauty. is really into it and having a good time, which lets the audience have one. You can hear her shouting, "Mu! Mu," even though she is not miked.

The US wouldn’t get it, they could maybe touch on the Hacienda a little but a warehouse full of kids off their tits listening to Acid/Hardcore all night till the next morning, Novas, metros and Escorts parked in a field in the middle of nowhere and police on their way. Nope, I cant see it being a hit over there.
The KLF's music is as compelling as it was when I first heard/saw it on MTV. Who is the woman with red hair on the right? She is also in the "Last Train to Trancentral" video with a red American Indian headdress, and in the "What Time Is Love" video in a red devil outfit. She is cool.
Their "dance performance" here has always made me wanna crack up. The lead singer here too, who is he and what was that with a cane and afro wig all about?! The song was too short too. Before you knew it he was on "The Final Chapter"!

The KLF deserve their own biopic movie.
Scour the BBC for the six part radio show How To Burn A Million Quid. Starring Paul Higgins (The Thick Of It) as Bill Drummond
Much like every other music biopic, it would end up being an appalling piece of shit.

I miss /the Jams / Timelords/ KLF...bring them back!
Ahead of their time and timeless.
Back to react, enough is enough
Let me ask you a question ...
... What Time Is Love?
The original trolls. Still love them, bow down all those who worship at the church of the KLF

Weren't tinkering around with The Black Room at the time? I think It's Grim Up North was a track intended for that unreleased album.
I’m still rocking to these tunes, the KLF were class.
KLF Forever🎉🎉🎉
Its grim everywhere under starmer, Good to remember happier times and banging music.

Клф моя юность!
I remember seeing this and wanting one of those It's Grim Up North jackets. I still do.
I was knocking out shapes to this when I was 18. Today I’m a Grandma to an 11 year old. WTF 😳
Very best song,1990!!!
I love Mark Goodier's reaction... (He had fun, too!)
He called it a 'happening' record. Exactly what music should be. Still sounds great today as it did then.
Slave to the rave,
Rave to the grave!
Sis my goodness..I was just looking at the KLF manual how to write a hit....I mean literally jus was looking at it then I seen this........ whoa
I would feel so disillusioned if any of those instruments were plugged in and turned on.
😂😂😂
This might be the first time I've seen anyone play air _keytar_
Notice how the keytars arent plugged in. Man everyone was taking the piss out of Top Of The Pops and especially the rules for performances, i love it

Love the un-ironic Mark Goodier post - Chris Morris parody !
The KLF deserve their own holodeck on the Enterprise/Orville!
Migliori al mondo! La canzone e' fantastica! Mi ricorda i locali ad isola Rodos dove mettevano sempre questa canzone e noi ballavano come matti.
Classic and awesome!
Ah the Keytar, what an instrument, reminds me of paul hardcastle and soul to soul days
Classic, one of the best bands and the crowd in 'top of the pops' really dot get it at that moment in time 😁
These were just like a breath of fresh air in the early 90s. What's going on with Top Of The Pops on BBC 4 now? Aren't they showing 1990 or what?
Thank you 😁🎶❤😁...Thank You Lord ✝️ for the Tingles 🙏❤✝️
I still have this on vinyl.
esta musica es de mis tiempos y se escuchaba en los 90s. solo en tv...
Best version.
на кассете слушал эту песню. вместе с ней были и другие исполнители cher, spike, haddaway
I'm disappointed the crowd didn't throw their fists up and scream "MU MU!"
That performance is pure parody genius
It’s G👀D to see youngsters having a good time ✋🌪🎶

There are no live instruments on that stage.
Yeah but it's Top of the Pops...Notorious for having backing tracks to promote the version for sale. Live was a different animal.

I wanna see ya SWEAT...playin' that air keytar! Still gonna stand by the JAMs, nonetheless!
That's a real Keytar that's not plugged in ("air" refers to what the instrument's made of, not what powers it)

whats that second instrument he is playing up the back...oh it doesn't actually make sound its an audio mixer! haha classic
