These times completely disapeared, no good life anymore :/

The composer from the game took it from this..
Just found the album on cd at the thriftstore, so many good memories of my 90's childhood hearing this

Inner City - Good Life (Official Video)
52 can't get enough almost 54 still .
This song is on the same par as Chaka khans ain’t nobody it will never age, still fresh from the day it was released.
Life was good and still have to be but why?
We had no idea how lucky we were, but we know it now.
i know..i feel so old but those were the best days
Wish I could go back to these days.. We had it good. ❤
Anyone feel like we've gone backwards. This reminds me of better days!
Agreed, modern day life is shit
I still enjoy the new school shit though especially tech house.
I feel like we have progressed in society🤷♂️
Yep,big time. This song wouldn't be made now, wouldn't be allowed by Corporate. Its all singer/songwriter or bland R n B crap.Total control of music by the big boys.Bland nonsense. We were lucky in the 80's to have music like this.Inner City were like a breath of fresh air, that Detroit sound, fantastic.
You mean that music today is either some singer/songwriter or R n B bland nonsense?Yep,gone backwards.
This was peak house music - late 80s. Inner City were up there among the best of them
Bizony és ez volt az ami az USA afro négereihez a legjobban illő stílus volt!!
Still fantastic 2022, 55 this year, 21 when it came out and going to change the world.
Still feel I can when I listen to this gem.
👍

The production and mixing of this song is absolutely amazing, ahead of time!
True, huge influence on later dance music of the 90s and 2000s
Kevin Saunderson in his prime.
Waaaay ahead of his time. Genius.
Ahead of its time? No. The problem is that the music we have now is so poor in comparison that the 80's and 90's tune sound so good. Don't get me wrong. Those decades were bloody awesome. Once the 2000s hit it was game over.
@@Tinywars Ive not heard much over the last two decades that floats my boat like house in the 80s and 90s I could probably list a few good dance tunes but nothing anthemic like this, the commercia stuff nowadays is far too polished and lacking energy.
@@Tinywarsexactamente, eran los estilos que predominaban,si ésta canción estuviera adelantada en su tiempo, entonces éstos serían los sonidos que estuviéramos escuchando en la actualidad
2024 peeps where ya at?
👌☝️
I remember working away in London, in a building near St Pauls Cathedral, (fitting carpets) One Saturday afternoon me and the guy I was with went for a walk to a near by sandwich bar and saw a load of filming going on half way up a flight of stairs that ran at the side of the building, we stood and watched for a while then carried on our way, didn't think much of it. Then about a month later I saw this on tv, and realised it had been part of the video we stood and watched being made.
Hahaha! Small world! Guys...here we have an actually witness of the event back then! Ain't technology wonderful! Thanks mate for sharing this with us! Many regards from a guy in Greece, who grow up as a teenager, in the '80s, and was lucky enough to be "nourished" by these awesome melodies! Listening now, from the mouths of the actual witnesses, these kind of things, makes it even more thrilling! Cheers mate!
@@theonemesis5217 the most confusing comment ive ever read, first thought it was sarcastic, then genuine, then sarcastic again and then genuine

@@theonemesis5217 No, technology is NOT wonderful. It had given birth to the death of music as we know it. It has allowed all sorts of pond life that in a normal world wouldn't be allowed 500 miles anywhere NEAR a studio to splurge an unending stream of excrement in the name of art, entertainment and being 'themselves'! Every lousy cloud of acid rain has NO silver lining-unless its lead poisoning.
I was thinking about the people around, walking, watching wondering "what are they doing, filming?" It's cool know your story.
If this track was re-released, I think it would be a hit ... as it is timeless.

Most definitely, music like this hardly exists these days.....like most people say on here “where’s the time machine”
Compared to today's shite this is timeless
u said it
Not sure of dates, but it was released as a remix in the 90s and it wasn't as good as this version.
They did a remaster in 2017
A fantastic song that doesn't simply age. Inner City were definitely ahead of the times!
Thanks Inner City. This is the best house song in history for me
for me it was the best techno song.
Every time I hear this song, I feel a knot in my stomach. That wonderful 1988-89
Streets of Rage 2.
I thought that straight away 😂

So your saying 1990
You have won! Timeless means “not being able to age.” That's why "mop714"'s comment is completely insane.
Almost 30 years and still a great song.
when did it come out ?
@@guleet75 1988
@Tony Jaksn You're welcome...I was only three or four when it was released but I still remember it well... Used to be played at primary school discos...
Guliero do tell house music or techno... I know the answer is for the sakes of the other people 😉
Yes, really a timeless and incredible house classic
32 years ago music was alive, and it was so much fun.
Damn right 😜🎉🎉
At that time I was 24 and my then girlfriend 21, this was 'our' song.
It was indeed Big Fun (1989).
Artists back then were way more in touch with their child-like self. They were playful / experimental / and radiated huge amounts of raw energy. Why do I keep coming back to this song? Simple... it's provides me with the nutrients I need to live my best life. RUclips's algorithms also seem to be getting better at recognizing my musical taste... I guess it is a good life after all!
even the real kids today are like sad morbid little adults...it's depressing.
@@desertrose1226 stop hating on your grandchildren, it makes you seem a bit sad
Yeah it has been proven today (2024) that in youth a midlife crisis is early triggered due to ‘the like button’ and ‘infinite doomscrolling’. If you would hear this end 80s begin 90s you would think humanity got backwards retarded.
"Hey 80s! The 90s are knocking on your door!"
This was when House was starting be the phenomenon that still going 30 years later. Fucking incredible tune. Best time to be a teenager aside from the 60s. 🙏👍🙌👏😁
Always a punk and heavy metal fan but you can't help but love this timeless classic , reminds me so much so of clubbing in Nottingham in my more youthful days during the 80's and 90's
Love this positive sound !
Remembers me of my youth back in 1989.

Hello 🙂
Still a banger even now , considering it was released in 1988 and I've lost count of how many times I've danced to this back in the days of early rave 🔥👌🏻
It's older than me 😮 awesome song 😎
I was LUCKY enough to be part of this movement in the late 80s and play this track on some HUGE sound systems as a Toronto dj for great crowds back then.
saunders played cherry beach a few months ago and rocked this tune. It was grand!
This track still sends m shivers !!!! An absolute house music mastwrpiece from Italy !!! ❤🇮🇹💪
Never gets boring and never gets old, beautiful music ❤
Now we are plagued by monotonous cheapo rap. What a comedown.
Timeless. Still have the vinyl single i bought in 1988
Me too
I have the 12" version
Sometimes it all comes together, the sound, the vibe, a new generation, the summer of love ‘89, the house rave scene kicking off, this is one of the anthems of that era, more than a great track, timeless
I taught my daughter's to dance to this when they were young teenagers, now here I am 62 and still the song gives me goosebumps,it's a feel good factor song.

2024🎉 Love is Shining, Life is Thriving, in the Good Life.
EXCELLENT MOTTO
This is how the music of the early 1990s music sounded in 1988.
Way ahead of its time😊
This takes me back to a time, place and age I'd much rather be at right now.
In my old bedroom with my C64 and my stereo with the twin cassette deck and high-speed dubbing, and a stack of cassettes full of songs taped off the radio ... Plus the Snooker table my mum brought me.
I'd swap everything you can legally do as an adult to be a kid again.
Michelle Schu-blacka ....a great time of life ... The beginning of the rave scene...love to go back
To do it all again hey!!!!! Please don’t make me cry!!! A wrap of phet, lump of solid, weekend ahead of me, pint in my hand, world at my feet and chatting to the ladies. Wow!!!! They were the days. It was "the sound of future" back then, but for me still it is, this song is timeless. I see the inspiration of this melody in drum and bass and electrohouse until nowadays.
Kinda yeah. But you can clearly hear some late 80s sounds especially the drums and keyboard tones. It was way ahead of its time but still, very late 80s :)

Simply love the late 80s optimism of this track. We started the 1980s with 'Ghost Town' and ended it with 'Good Life' could any two songs sum up a decade of two halves so perfectly?
No I wouldn't say ended with 'Good Life' It ended with Back to life by Soul 2 Soul, As that was 89 and that was end of decade
Ah yes, the glory days of 1989, when dance music crossed over to the pop charts in the UK, and three of the number ones that year were mixes of oldies from the fifties and sixties by Jive Bunny.

Singer in singing in London UK those were the good days no stress in the UK.
No, this was Thacher’s Britain and she had sold us down the river.
I’d rather Thatcher’s Britain than the current circus we’ve got! 😂 The UK is in a terrible state right now and there’s never been so much discontent. Nothing works properly and everyone is broke, stressed and miserable, we’re a society on edge.
Allow me to introduce you to South Africa.
I thought this video was London. Just confirmed that it is. Thank you. 😊
Top tune from 1988 it reminds me of when I first went into a nightclub at 16 and getting wasted lol happy days and nothing could ever replace those happy carefree/stressfree happy memories of when people danced and laughed and didn't have a phone glued to there hands as we didn't have mobile's then thank god!!!
