I think this is not the 80s. It's the early 90s.
@@anyloli what was sampled was from the 80's and earlier.. was put out in 88 .. so not too far off. probably using the akai 900 or 950 and the emu sampler keyboard more used.. 12k when paul hardcastle did "19" . cmi fairlight was expensive still i guess ;-)

Still rocks hardcore in 2024, still fresh as the day it was released, a timeless EDM classic.
This reminds me of club kids, ecstasy and weird Gaultier outfits. It was such a massive dance hit when it came out, and I mean MASSIVE. I remember it being played nonstop in every nightclub you went to, and the dancefloors would fill in seconds. You could literally hear it everywhere throughout the night.

I grew up in the Philippines. It’s difficult to get this kind of music back then because most radio stations are all about American Top 40. Luckily I found an obscure station that at least, gives snippets of the UK Top 5. It’s through that short 10-minute weekly program that I discovered this song (and others like Steve Hurley (Jack Your Body), Fairground Attraction (Perfect), Yazz & The Plastic Population (The Only Way Is Up), and many many others). I have a special in my heart for these brilliant and amazing UK acts.

You can hear the rhythm bouncy sound effect in this mix that defined every 90s techno track ever. This was probably early on in its use and not the dominant sound. Evolution baby.
One of those forgotten tracks from the 80s ....got it on a cd m kids got me a few years ago, actually had never heard it, still love it, better than what is around today...was a teen from this era know my music...think the few idiots who didn't like this don't have this going on on their lives for real, I do and am 52, with a younger guy....can relate very well to what this song is about....is called really living again, and your never to old to have the hots for someone....EVER, has been a few years too....is called LOVE

Use to love listening to this in stereo back in the day 1988.. Listening to the vinyl single record on the turn table and getting that 'leak' of sound emitting from the needle meant you had to close the record player lid so could just get the amplified sound through the speakers. Positioning between the left and right speakers so when the train sound effect would cone it would sound awesome when hearing it tearing left to right through your living room in stereo. Just a similar sensation to Yellow's 'The Race' when you hear the racing car zoom past your lounge! Another great late 1980s listening experience.
I'm 53 now and feel 18 once more 😊
