... didn't think I'd be really interested in watching this... but, since I'm a DIY guy, I watched it all... just wanna say, I like it all, very informative... glad you're also safety conscious... while at the same time having the balls (fortitude) to push the limits of what is achievable... have fun.... and stay safe... live to drive another day...
BBK does not help reduce stopping distance in this case, it help dealing with fading during track use. BBK help reduce breaking distance and an urban myth. ALL the breaking power is actually regulate by your master cylinder in this case he got the same master cylinder which design for single piston caliper there for the hydraulic force apply to the caliper is the same as stock. To reduce your breaking distance you better off get more aggressive street pads and better tires. Racing pads is much more noisier and produce a lot of dust, they won't work good until you bring them up to temp (this is why circuit racing always have couple warm up lap). Street pads like HAWK HPS will fade after couple lap. Stainless steel line does not help braking power, it help enhance the pedal feel which mislead to stopping power. I learn a lot of brakes by running couple hundred lap at Lime Rock Race Park.
So upgrading the master cylinder to lets say a MDX, the RL, or TL-S (something from a larger vehicle that provides more braking force) should make the bite much harder?
As he says bigger brakes don't improve the stopping distance, you are nearly always limited by the tyres. Mainly all that happens is the pedal is lighter. Unless you have a weak leg the benefit of better/bigger brakes is to handle repeated use on the track, where the disks get so hot they wanna melt the pads and evaporate moisture in the fluid causing pad fade or fluid fade. Larger vented rotors basically dissipate heat faster, thats it.
Could you do a walkaround of your car and what you have done with it so far and your future plans with it? I understand its your daily., but are you going to track it or do something else with it like going to shows and such? Also vlogs would be cool like you done a few of before, anything from going to a car meet, doing basic maintance on your car, what you do in your spare time :) Think that could open up your channel to a new crowd
the front calipers you removed to install thise 4 pot brembos... pyt those on the rear, along with custom bracket u n ur buddy make, along with the larger rotor. that what we do with the 90-99 z32. 4 or 6 pot brembos up front with the larger 12" rotors and then move the oem 4 pot fronts to the rear along with custom brackets and larger rotors. it does make a huge difference
You should Sipe all four tires so you have more tire contact on the pavement this will help stopping distance in both dry and wet conditions. Shorten your stopping distance.
I want to do something like this for my car, now that it is paid for in full. But it is a 2008 Dodge Avenger, I am mostly interested in painting the calipers. I have changed brake pads, but I have never bleed brakes. I would be interested in replacing in the OEM calipers if there is something better for them, but it is not a necessity at this point.
Never, and again NEVER apply emergency braking just to test them. Save the best of your brakes for the real deal should it ever need to happen. Good job on the video. Bigger is always better as far as brakes go.
I was literally just thinking how much difference would a big brake kit make. Then I check my subscriptions and there is this video. Illuminati Confirmed.
Have you considered putting high performance brake fluid in as well? From what I've seen and heard online, it also makes a massive difference over extended braking periods.
greetings from Fort Worth Texas 👋hey bro! i love your videos. congrats !! now here's my question?? i own a 2006 pt cruiser and a 2004 cadillac srx v8. i want to make them not just look better but also to perform better. I would really appreciate any ideas that you might have. thank you.
Hey Bro. Love ya vids dawg. Have you looked into the rear FACTORY BBK set up yet? If not, i may have found a fix. Try the calipers from the 2006 LS430 Rear calipers. Let me know how that goes if your giy can Fab up some brackets.
Those breaks must feel awesome, these accords aren't very light cars. Also, do you think it is possible to use the old front brakes for the rear? Just a thought.
If you use a bigger rotor with the stock caliper on the back, wouldn't it be useless, because the caliper can still only hold the same size pad. That would mean the brake still uses the same surface area, and thus has the same breaking power. Just a question, correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks
It would come down to leverage. The pad would have the same surface area, but because you are pushing the arc of the circle further out, you will have more overall surface area coming in contact with the pad per revolution of the wheel. Its kinda hard to explain over text but you would be able to see a difference.
A Vong 3k???you got ripped off dude i paid only 350 for brand new ctsv calipers for my pontiac g8. All together with rotors and pads should be no more than 600-1k max
Thevalley Rodriguez I had to get adapters for a GTO so the kit was calipers 6/4, pads and shim kits, adapters, braided lines and rotors. 3K including postage.
ReggaeDubSoundSystem I paid 146 for my Acura rl calipers. Found them for 40 each but had to pay 18 each for core exchange which I didn't have anything to exchange so I ate the cost and 20 for shipping.
Super late to the party here. Sorry. But did they ever squeak for you man? Im getting ready to put them on my 9th gen 6-6 and I have heard mixed reports that they squeaked for them.
Hey milan. can you tell me what mods did you install to get you this sound right now? i wanna also get something similar with my civic, but unfortunately i have a d-series single cam engine. is it still possible to achieve this sound?
Hey man, was just wondering if you would ever do a manual transmission fluid change? I've searched for the past couple days but can't find nothing. I know it might be easy but I could not find anything! If surely appreciate it if you could :)
+milanmastracci I knew you made one! But I swear I looked thru your videos like 5 times and even searched it. Something must be wrong with me😅 you're amazing bro lol
Well you would need to find a kit that is compatible for that. You would first need a drum brake to a disc brake caliper change, and then find a bbk from there.
these kind of performance upgrades, are they really necessary for SUVs? like would there be a noticeable difference in the end? ps:can't wait for more videos! #$^*
Yeah absolutely, especially because SUV's weigh more. Look at an Audi Q7, look at a Volkswagen Touareg, Porsche Cayenne, they are all larger SUV's, that have very big brakes to slow down their large mass.
+milanmastracci arr thanks man that's what I was wondering because of their mass would upgrades make the same effect it makes on a coupe for example :p
Also i may sound dumb for saying this but since your front calipers are different then the back what i would do is a would buy those cheap ebay brembo covers and install them on the back. They will look similar im not telling you what to do dont get me wrong just a friendly opinion thanks
Yeah man thats a good option to make the rears look like the fronts. I have seen those go wrong many times. Considering I push my car, and I've even taken it to the track, I wouldn't put them on because I'll cook them ahah
So That's 100 km/h ? so stopping from 62-0 ? I remember Stomping on the brakes in my VW Tiguan stopped from 60 in like 105 ft ( about 6.5 car lengths ) , with one piston brakes... Can you measure how long it takes you to brake from 100km/h to 0?
You might be able to get it to work, however you would not only lose your handbrake function (as the rear calipers have the handbrake mechanism attached to it where the fronts don't) but you would also have to get new brackets made up to make it fit.
Actually they ARE Brembos; Honda had a contract with Brembo to produce them for the RL and TL Type-S. Brembo simply made them with the Acura name cast in
Dual callipers aren't mean for stopping. Typically the one is meant for slowing the vehicle down as a regular brakes, and the other is either for hydraulic hand brake to lock the rear wheels, or for a handbrake mechanism that is not attached to the calliper, and is not a drum style.
0:08 VTEC kicked in so hard Milan had to stop chewing
ahahahaha
lmfao 😂

I own a 2006 Acura RL and that car is a beast!
You have sweet vids. I'm currently working on my 11' Maxima SV. I'll have to post my videos soon after my move back to the West Coast.
shoulda did a before and after test on braking distance
Well, too late now.
+Logan Claproth But is it really?
+Sache Krishnaraj yep.
BBK does not help reduce stopping distance in this case, it help dealing with fading during track use. BBK help reduce breaking distance and an urban myth. Good job Millan, congrat! Love your videos!

Someone likes the smell of black ice. Lol.
all those air fresher's 😹😹😹✊
I need more :D
my last sticked to my road tv recorder and did a whole beacuse of the sun....
+milanmastracci bro remove them lol and have you tried black tree air freshener? if not then you must try that one
Raid_Sookrah the black tree? You mean black ice? He has 100+ of them hanging there it’s fucken annoying to see that in people’s car
VTEC JUST KICKED IN YO!! :D
I LOVE THAT ROAR!!!
Bakes are not bad!!!
:D
Just spent like an hour watching the last 3 parts and the hub spacer vid... lol Yeah great job!!! looks amazing!
Thanks buddy!! :)
the front calipers you removed to install thise 4 pot brembos... pyt those on the rear, along with custom bracket u n ur buddy make, along with the larger rotor. that what we do with the 90-99 z32. 4 or 6 pot brembos up front with the larger 12" rotors and then move the oem 4 pot fronts to the rear along with custom brackets and larger rotors.
it does make a huge difference
Totally Awsome!!! The turns!
What is the size and style of these rims? Looks better than the previous video!
Great videos, man! Just subscribed...
Will it fit on my Honda? ***australian accent***
Damn it moog.
Anytime you can kick in the ABS and hear tire noise, you know the brakes are powerful
Your exhaust sounds awesome at WOT.
Thanks man!! :) The intake makes lots of noises lol
You should Sipe all four tires so you have more tire contact on the pavement this will help stopping distance in both dry and wet conditions. Shorten your stopping distance.
this should be first upgrade on the car
Does the car stink or what? I don't get the 100 air fresheners hanging.
8 black ice Air fresheners? No way! I can't even handle 1!
+Des420 I wonder what it could be.... Jk!
Try semi-metallic pads especially for racing. They perform way better at high temps compared to ceramics. Love the vids btw
You are making me want to do the RL upgrade on my accord v6.
Do it :D
+milanmastracci I wonder if it is the same process with the 7th gen.
I have Acura RL 2004 model and i like to use Brembo caliper.
Never, and again NEVER apply emergency braking just to test them. Save the best of your brakes for the real deal should it ever need to happen. Good job on the video. Bigger is always better as far as brakes go.
So true!!
Ps you have a fantastic first name ;)
I was literally just thinking how much difference would a big brake kit make. Then I check my subscriptions and there is this video. Illuminati Confirmed.
LOL *MIND BLOWN*
next episode: more black ice air freshners!
looks like my 1993 accord is getting a big brake kit soon
Maybe add some more wunderbaum?
Have you considered putting high performance brake fluid in as well? From what I've seen and heard online, it also makes a massive difference over extended braking periods.
He has already
greetings from Fort Worth Texas 👋hey bro! i love your videos. congrats !! now here's my question?? i own a 2006 pt cruiser and a 2004 cadillac srx v8. i want to make them not just look better but also to perform better. I would really appreciate any ideas that you might have. thank you.
i hope you broke those pads and rotors in before you recorded this vid but great vid man keep em coming
Oh absolutely :)
Damn, do they work!
Great! May you put a clip about Bleeding the brake system?!(or sth like that...:S)
Sure thing :)
Thanks a Lot :D
Hey Bro. Love ya vids dawg.
Have you looked into the rear FACTORY BBK set up yet?
If not, i may have found a fix.
Try the calipers from the 2006 LS430 Rear calipers.
Let me know how that goes if your giy can Fab up some brackets.
I wish the video was longer
Any tips on bedding in new brakes?
Those breaks must feel awesome, these accords aren't very light cars. Also, do you think it is possible to use the old front brakes for the rear? Just a thought.
It has been mentioned before, but keep in mind that you would lose the handbrake function. I already thought about it ahah
the laugh at 6:39 lol
What about using the rear brakes off the Acura RL? That should be an upgrade, correct?
If you use a bigger rotor with the stock caliper on the back, wouldn't it be useless, because the caliper can still only hold the same size pad. That would mean the brake still uses the same surface area, and thus has the same breaking power. Just a question, correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks

Its kinda hard to explain over text but you would be able to see a difference.
you could also just take out the fuse for your abs and threshold brake
Have an idea for ya, make a video along the lines of how to prepare your car for a road trip
Done :)
+milanmastracci awesome!
Kool I have been there and shannonville
I drive 2004 c32amg
U do nice work my car needs some paint correction how can I get a hold of u
Mind if tell me where did you get these brake kit.... been tried on ebay but just so expensive..
Did you have to use spacers for your stock oem wheels to work with those new calipers? If so, what was the size of the spacer?
Hydro Boost will give your 4 caliper piston more stopping power
All those black ice air fresheners
it's about compound, not section, you haven't considered suspension, body roll, etc etc... stiffer springs would result in better braking...
section matters too - easiest way to get some more grip
$570 is expensive for a bbk? GTFO, I just paid about $3K for a CTS-V BBK.
A Vong 3k???you got ripped off dude i paid only 350 for brand new ctsv calipers for my pontiac g8. All together with rotors and pads should be no more than 600-1k max
Thevalley Rodriguez
I had to get adapters for a GTO so the kit was calipers 6/4, pads and shim kits, adapters, braided lines and rotors. 3K including postage.
Damn, even 4 Piston Akebono Calipers for my G37 are like $800. How did you pay only $350?
ReggaeDubSoundSystem I paid 146 for my Acura rl calipers. Found them for 40 each but had to pay 18 each for core exchange which I didn't have anything to exchange so I ate the cost and 20 for shipping.
well done ...
Thanks Mike!!
Super late to the party here. Sorry. But did they ever squeak for you man? Im getting ready to put them on my 9th gen 6-6 and I have heard mixed reports that they squeaked for them.
I going to try this setup on my Accord & TSX. I just can't find RL Calipers like the one in your video?
Acura RL and Honda Legend calipers will work
I liked your video and want to be and my car like this.
Hey milan. can you tell me what mods did you install to get you this sound right now? i wanna also get something similar with my civic, but unfortunately i have a d-series single cam engine. is it still possible to achieve this sound?
Very nice
Thanks :)
Hey man, was just wondering if you would ever do a manual transmission fluid change? I've searched for the past couple days but can't find nothing. I know it might be easy but I could not find anything! If surely appreciate it if you could :)
A video of course.. Not just the MTF change lmao.
Something like this..? ruclips.net/video/ZY-OJ7O2OLc/видео.html
+milanmastracci I knew you made one! But I swear I looked thru your videos like 5 times and even searched it. Something must be wrong with me😅 you're amazing bro lol
+milanmastracci but maybe one on the accord some day :-)
why don't you just use the OEM calipers from the front that you took off? Those are what, 11.8" ?
Is there any pad overhang with the 12.6” rotors?
Ok what if you wanna go get a big brake kit but converting it from a drum Brake ?
Well you would need to find a kit that is compatible for that. You would first need a drum brake to a disc brake caliper change, and then find a bbk from there.
putting a bigger rotor in the back would not have any benefit because the stock caliper will only cover so much of the rotor...
The caliper will have more biting torque.
these kind of performance upgrades, are they really necessary for SUVs? like would there be a noticeable difference in the end?
ps:can't wait for more videos!
You would probably notice a much bigger difference :)
2:51 you touch the break... "crunch" someone eating?
I honestly don't know what the sound is. It might be something to do with the camera? I dunno? I didn't hear it when I was recording it
You make rear kit yet?
Milan, will this set work on a 2016 honda accord coupe?
how can i get those calipers adapters for my honda accord ex 2000?
Randal Abusimbel Sencion Ogando try fat four customs, heeltoe auto. They range between 150 to 175 I think
is there a video of u taking it to "the track" was it?
Will this set up work for a 2012 Honda accord sedan
Holy pine trees
was that 18 wheeler riding in your lane? i had that happen to me and my car auto braked really hard.(scary sh**)
Yeah he was way in my lane and pushed me off the road basically!!
sweet May
so if this right? the kit will fit on my 07 accord
What future plans have you got for the car ? A turbo ?
Lol I want to see if I can run forced induction, but supercharger, not turbo.
I really like this honda but if you plan to spend more money to make it better make sure to repaint it will look minter.
Repaint would be at the end of the build, if I were to repaint it.
Considering I push my car, and I've even taken it to the track, I wouldn't put them on because I'll cook them ahah
have you tried to measure the braking distance from 100kmph?
No but I should lol
i have a rav4 1998 4 disk brakes soo what calipers do prefer to me? ( what car's???)
Yeah sure thing man!!
Where can I find the caliper?
whats ur wheel size?
would it be possible to put the old front brakes on the back? keep in mind I probably don't know what I'm talking about lol
you don't know what you are talking about
+psychobillionz You're right, I'll have to do some research on that, thanks
+psychobillionz Out of curiosity, why wouldn't that work?
You might be able to get it to work, however you would not only lose your handbrake function (as the rear calipers have the handbrake mechanism attached to it where the fronts don't) but you would also have to get new brackets made up to make it fit.
Oh yeah. Thanks I didn't think of that
Is the accord a 5 speed or 6 speed?
would this bbk work for a 13" accord sport sedan?
Sure would!! :)
Omg, this guy is too cute.
570 bucks thats actually cheap, here in sweden regular basic brembo kit costs 200 bucks per disc only.
Link to calipers? Does it matter what year rl?
Links have been put in the description 👍
i got a ford transit mark 7. and I need better brakes do u know any company that do them for £500 or less
Stop tech typically has nice brakes, for not too much money.
man you are a legend haha
So can we install Nissan parts on Honda?
Nissin pasmada.....not Nissan. They are a brake manufacturer. :)
+Alex Moran did you read the description?
alex flores did YOU read the description? It says Nissin and he does in the video as well
Walmart sells tint for 80 bucks
All you need is sticky tires, not wider ones. Wider tires are going to slow you down.
But you made them look like Brembos when they're not *poser*
Actually they ARE Brembos; Honda had a contract with Brembo to produce them for the RL and TL Type-S. Brembo simply made them with the Acura name cast in
You bought that Honda thinking it was a super cool fast car huh
Lol how many air fresheners do u have?
NOT ENOUGH LOL
+milanmastracci touché
Dude yours was way cheaper than mine i got 6 piston on the front and 4 piston on the rear
500 air freshener later lolol
What track u go to?
TMP in Cayuga
Can dual calipers do the job lol ?
Dual callipers aren't mean for stopping. Typically the one is meant for slowing the vehicle down as a regular brakes, and the other is either for hydraulic hand brake to lock the rear wheels, or for a handbrake mechanism that is not attached to the calliper, and is not a drum style.
How much has the car driven?
Pardon me?
+milanmastracci He probably means Odometer reading.
