By the way Mxkdi...can I upgrade my core i5 2400 to core i7 2600k or any of these (i5 3470, i5 3570 or i7 3770) their sockets are identical according to the internet. Both these processors use despite the difference in generation use the same socket LGA 1155

Please, I have an hp 6000pro with dual core of 3Gz and 8 Gigas of ram, I would substitute the cpu with a quad core cpu maybe xeon too. Is it possible? If is yes with which one? but for alimentation? thanks
@@mxkdt is it because the ram slots are too close? Or is it because the screws don't line up? Because usually I custom build 9020 mini towers 380,990, ones like that with custom CPU coolers as well as other things as well. Those types of optiplexs are very compatible with custom building.
Hi, have very similar system and tried to upgrade my CPU from Pentium G630 to i5-2500 today. After putting new CPU, it won't post - no output and fans slowly start to spin to maximum speed until I force shut it down. Any suggestion? Do you think CPU is dead? Many thanks p.s. Tried clearing CMOS by resitting battery, also flashed BIOS, no luck. When I put old G630 back in it works fine.
You can but you need to modify it. The problem is that you will need a pci extender if you ever get a graphic card otherwise it will be on the way of the new intel cooler.
@@tributeborn6036 not quite right.. the board supports up to a i7-2600 processor... so you cant put in ANY processor because the manufacturer of the board is oem .. so you're limited by them

Sound guy, if you make offer on ebay, you could get whole PC a lot cheaper then buying just CPU only. I do shop on ebay all the time and amazon. Most parts i buy from local sellers, i could give you links to amazon.

The HP 6200 is Socket Type LGA 1155 for the processor so anything compatable with LGA 1155.
