Interesting modification; though as a 'proper' thumber (rather than gripper) I don't have the reach issue with the default switch orientation, on the index finger; I just let it rest on the switch at all times. Actually, testing a grip position I don't have an issue doing the same with the middle, either... odd. Also worth considering that the DX8 (and I believe 7s) allow you to re-map the T.Hold switch to one of the face-switches, instead of the rear shoulder. More accessible for grip fliers.
