I have CMT, I’ve been using a mobility scooter when I’m out and about for over a decade. I honestly cannot even count how many times people have said that or something similar. Recently, at a casino a group of guys came up on me (I was sitting on a stool with the scooter next to me) he literally started to get on the scooter as he was saying can I borrow this. I said a firm NO! Luckily, I don’t ever leave the keys in the scooter when I’m not on it 😉. Normally, I don’t take offense when someone jokes about wanting to use the scooter I just joke along with them.
Was that the same day you had students under your direction at the observation? I remember you feeling diminished by the guests, not just due to their ignorance and entitlement, but because you were afraid the students under your care would see you as less than... It was heart-breaking to hear your voice and not be able to go sit with you... or kick their asses. Also... delete any of my mom comments if they're too personal, lol. Love you!

Thankfully this day I was alone so I could go cry in my car without anyone knowing 😂 I got through it 💪
