That 25-ton diesel is nice with great sound. The Oyster Bay RR Museum has a couple - maybe an idea for a TrainWorld exclusive.

13:26 is why I doubt I'll ever buy another Piko N Scale locomotive. I bought both road names (Atlantic Coast Line and US Army) of the Whitcomb from Trainland. Both run great, sound even better and have fantastic pulling power....the one thing that's a killer for me you can see at 13:26 When you set the throttle to zero the locomotive slows but doesn't stop FOR A LONG TIME making it completely useless as a switcher. I contacted Trainland and they sent me to Piko. They got back to me with some changes to CV's that I tried but they had no effect. I played with some other CV's and if I get the loco going really slow, it will stop fairly quickly, but not like the other 190 DCC locomotives I own. They all stop as a real locomotive would....

Check the "Instructions for use" which came with your locomotive, and there you will find a table with CV and what they are doing. To change the braking delay, you need to adjust CV 4. Have a play with that setting and you will get the behavior as you are used to with your other Locomotives. By the way, Locomotives in the real world do NOT stop immediately when the brake lever is applied it can take several miles for them to stop from higher speeds and this is that Piko emulates when they set CV 4 to a value of 50. Also have you tried using Function 28 which puts the Locomotive into shunting mode which halves the speed and in theory should also take away the braking delay.

@@365n4 Yes, yes and yes...tried all of those things. Absolutely nothing worked and Piko's support didn't email back after I told the it didn't. I know how locomotives stop, not expecting it to stop like a car but my other 188 DCCC locomotives stop depending on the momentum settings....I tries that too!
