Trying to catch up with some of the questions and comments from last night, but folks should know that you are all welcome to send questions to support@piko-america.com and we will get back to you as quickly as possible. (Admittedly, we have a few folks out of the office next week at a train show, but we answer everyone!)
PIKO is in production with the first Whitcomb 65T locos right now. Videos from the factory show that... and yes, it is a PIKO factory, not a rental facility for the week! :) PIKO is working on the Netherlands version of the 65T and next up is the USATC version. (You can see the first images/video of the USATC model at 54:00 on this video!!) The USATC model is really "as seen in Europe" but was used by the U.S. military to transport goods. Couplers can be swapped with knuckle couplers and PIKO already makes a 56043 knuckle coupler if you are interested. Future North American specific versions of this model will include our knuckle coupler and some detail variations from the Netherlands version.
Regarding future versions... we are generally not allowed to talk about upcoming models that have not been announced but a big announcement was made during this video... live! Some paint schemes we have considered were shared and one was shown in 3D with the beginning of the paint/design. (Hint, it's roughly around 1:05:00 in the video.) We expect that model to arrive either late in 2021 or early in 2022. An announcement will come during our Fall Surprise New Items Announcements. We are very excited to hear from more folks about what paint schemes and models they would like to see in the future. More are coming for the Whitcomb 65T Diesel Loco, but we would love to see whatever personal images you have, as maybe you have seen a paint scheme or model we never found in our research!
As for the future of PIKO and HO-Scale... PIKO has announced that the Whitcomb 65T and NCTD Sprinter are our first North American HO-Scale models. You can read into this that we do not expect them to be our last! :) PIKO and PIKO America do a lot of research on models, and you can see from this video that we have great production ability in our own factories! So let us know what model you think is missing from the market.
If you are worried about DCC/Sound and tech things... our PIKO SmartDecoder 4.1 (5.1 is also coming in some models) passed NMRA compliance testing on the first try, something the NMRA said never happens! So PIKO has a full NMRA compatibility/compliance warrant for our own, in-house made, decoders. We look forward to sharing some great sound features in these upcoming releases!
If you want more information, or want to suggest your favorite paint schemes and/or models for future production... don't hesitate to share your thoughts with us at support@piko-america.com. We have already heard from many of you, but the more interest and pre-orders that come in, the easier it is to produce more models!
Thank you for your interest, and a big thank you to the Trainworld team for being so great to the modeling community!

Pilko is everything LGB used to be. I had a problem with a throttle I got from an authorized dealer (not Trainworld) and I got a replacement in short order.

When will you pronounce it PIKO with an I, not PECO that is a different UK company. When can we see a G scale Sprinter please?
