quick thought: A case company should start making this a standard feature, preferably with touchscreen where we can use the touchscreen input for BIOS tweaking. Imagine the possibility to troubleshoot a PC without needing mouse, keyboard and a monitor. How convenient that be. Need to overclock but don't want to alt tab? just do it on the screen so you can seamlessly see the difference. Monitor already off and you need to resume downloading all the delicious anime? just do it on second screen. well.. probably not very useful for most people, but i personally would like to own one.
Dude, i got a s340 Elite sometime ago, and i just got the card holder and searching for the mouting "tutorial" around youtube and found you, we have very identical setups, and dude u killed me with that screen, i gotta have that, im gonna steal that idea, thank you
You could use Rainmeter and get some much better looking system stats. You could also hide the task bar just on that screen for a cleaner look. For example, with Rainmeter, you could use a dark background, and turn create a Rainmeter layout to match your system RGB colors. So, if your system is orange and black, you could make the screen have a black background with glowing orange looking font and meters.
Me too, I just built a pc in the S340 Elite this weekend and I hate seeing the empty drive mount in the corner since I went with an M.2 SSD. I'll definitely be adding a stats screen there now thanks to you!
I have recently posted your video too the Aorus gaming community where there is alot of case modders. I am going too add it too my next build also. Thank you.
Wow what a simple yet elegant idea for monitoring your system stats on an external screen. Not many will ever do this but I can see some people having a use for this kind of thing.
Stumbled upon this video after seeing your vertical GPU mount tutorial and I knew I just HAD to do this to my case. Bought everything on Amazon that night, and had a lot of fun adding this little mod to my case. It really adds some extra flair. Thanks for the tutorials!

pretty sure thats a windows problem, i had the same problem before with a projector unplugged but the chrome windows are still starting on the projectors side
I'll be doing this in my daughter's new build. I'm using the same NZXT case so I know it will look great! Got yourself a new subscriber!! Great job sir.
I subscribed after watching this video and the one with the vertical GPU. Also because that's the case I'm planning to get, and this is just amazing. Amazing work.
Different screens and screen sizes can be used, within reasonable limits. And they don't necessarily have to be mounted in the same case or the same position shown in this vid, a front- or top-mounted screen in a chassis cutout would be more "viewable" for some systems. Plus a hardware monitor tends to basically be for at-a-glance checks on system status, it doesn't need to be full cinematic quality, lol.
Great Vid fella. I'm doing the same with my 340 elite. Just a tip for you though, Look into the AIDA64 sensor panels. Full customisation and can be made to look alot better than the CAM screen. Cheers

This is actually exactly what I'm looking for....I have a few wires I wanted to hide but wasn't sure what to hide them with. I even thought about building a small enclosure to hide them out of aluminum or something. This is practical, cool looking, and will hide them perfectly. Big thanks!
I remember looking for a solution like this about 8 months ago to no avail, would've been a great way to monitor temps with a triple monitor config. I hope you have a patent, but that may easier said then done. Great work!
Can you make a video to compare performance in gaming with the display inside the case connected and without it? So we can see if it impact on gaming performance. Anyway very good work whit that project, i will reply it on my pc.
As far as I know the screens connected to the gpu can only deliver as many herz as the smallest hz screen. So if you got 2 screens which are 144hz and 60hz, you could only have 60hz max together from tour gpu. This is not a bug, this is the way it works. I also read it somewhere that you can workaround it of you got a mobo gpu or a cpu gpu, because than you can just connect the hdmi of this little screen to the mobo hdmi port. Im not trying to argue here, I really like the idea and want to do it, but I dont want to sacrifice any fps. I got a 240hz screen :/
Why spend a hundred bucks to be allowed to customize the theme of windows? That's literally the only different between unactivated windows 10 and activated. Sides, Microsoft themselves on their official site offer you the download to make the Windows 10 installation disk image for free. The company is literally giving you the option to use unactivated to get a 99.9% functioning windows 10, so again why pay for it short of buying prebuilt machines?
Just so you know, it’s better to plug the mini screen in to your hdmi port on the motherboard than the gpu. Plug your main monitor in the gpu. It’s better performance.
B for effort. All your doing is just taking a screen and making it a second monitor. It would be cool to get a custom firmware screen that wouldn't need to be run off the desktop that way you could game plus have a screen that is just watching temps.
Not a bad solution. Quick tip though, use something like rainmeter for windows or conky for linux. You can find layouts and designs for anything you want and it will start up with your computer and fit to the screen of your choice. Customize it how you want to best fit your build.
Did you get this idea from the r/buildapc sub a few months back? I've had mine up and running for about 2 months or so now, and adding Rainmeter really helps with getting the most out of a small display. Reddit link: www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/6gpo43/how_to_add_a_5_hardware_monitor_to_your_pc_for/?st=j7ctpmki&sh=9920c639
I got the idea from a youtube video I saw a few months ago on GGF channel. Waited for someone to do a tutorial, saw nobody did it, so filmed the process :)
Team 974 yeah me too, inspired by GGF. Pretty much did the same thing as you but I tweaked the background wallpaper AND the banner image for the CAM software to fit. I also wrote to the devs about maximizing the software. imgur.com/a/gdllI
That looks great, awesome build too. Is that a Carbon Fiber vinyl wrap on the radiators? I decided to put mine on a tablet arm and have it next to my monitor so I can check temps as I game, and have EVGA Precision open if I'm OCing the GPU: imgur.com/a/m2tJM
I used a 3.5 inch screen, and added a small Screen lift in my case ( had to cut and custom make a few things) when the computer turns on the screen pops up from the top front, and I set a couple start up scripts to open the required monitoring software for that screen. If you don't want to see it anymore, you tap the top and it automatically goes back down ( used a safely measure to my advantage if it hits something it will go down) BUT it is a manual process to get it to come back up, still working on how to integrate that somehow, without either having to restart the pc. The entire set up not counting my time to customize my case for it to fit is about $100.
Be back after install a 5inch i have found with a case, and it's perfect, CAM open automaticly on it :) (only the RPM of GPU don't work) www.dropbox.com/s/hc8pyrlitk1fdvt/54411792_301471957189388_6975583619544776704_n.jpg?dl=0
Tip: Save a HDMI port and sacrifice a USB port instead by using another tiny single board computer or embedded device to output to that screen instead. You can then write a tiny programme that'll send the stats to the screen. It means you can connect another display
Or just use second monitor on your table, and use it. I dont see any point installing small display on case, its nice like rgb fans, but useless at the end
Thanx for the help, I’ve been trying to build a computer and a HD monitor together and make a desktop laptop and I’ve bean looking for alternatives and now I have one, thanx man.

well.. probably not very useful for most people, but i personally would like to own one.
then your £90 case has just turned into £150 for the sake of a screen that only 0.1% of people would actually use it for
Worth it. Need to be on top of the weeb game.
Manaka Takane This need to be motherboard feature, there is no IO to control core MB setnings and grab stats for case to use
you could probably make a dual cd bay screen, but cant you actually buy stuff like that already
i dont think editing a bios while the pc is one would work very well...
just got mine today but instead using cam soft i use rainmeter and wallpaper engine

Yeah, but it’s in fucking Spanish
lmfao
really people have been doing this for 10-15 years the very first ones used the PlayStation one portable screen
And hardware 360 stole it from GGF Events, and GGF events stole it from the first guy who did it, smh, dont even start with this shit yah panz.
That's great man. Cool idea. I will this thing on my NZXT phantom.
100% useless
You could put discord/Spotify in there so it's always viewable but not on your main screen
Or just use second monitor on your table, and use it. I dont see any point installing small display on case, its nice like rgb fans, but useless at the end
I love this with a 15in screen on a mini pc build. SO i would have an all in one setup for travel
Thanx for the help, I’ve been trying to build a computer and a HD monitor together and make a desktop laptop and I’ve bean looking for alternatives and now I have one, thanx man.
Bro this is sick. Where did you buy the display?
Maverick PC Gaming thanks. Links in the description.
Did you buy that cover? so yes do you have a link? Awesome build man!
Brian Coumans thanks. What cover do you mean ?
