Im sick of hearing about this Chido obi Martin guy..I hear his parents are pressuring him...he can leave I'm sick of players like this...They have to earn their place like everyone else
I'm a United fan. Name the last 3 academy players that have made it into your first team in the last 2 years. Kobbie and Garnacho played in the two biggest finals this summer, the Euro's and the Copa. Garnacho is Copa winner. Yoro just came in and his 18! United have an ongoing record where an academy player has been in every first team squad since the dawn of time. Finally United under 18s, won everything there was to win last season. We don't always produce the best of the best young talent, but we certainly give them chances.
Being a manager is not easy if he ended up putting this kid in a game and we end up losing then will be another story at end of the day these kids also don't have the patience so when we are judging let us put these two facts into consideration
Remember, he wanted double what Saka got when he was 16!! Double! Is he going to be better than Saka?? I very much doubt it! But good luck to him! 16 years old and he’s demanding over 60k a week!! Let that sink in! ESR and Reis Nelson are on 40k and 50k respectively!!
I think the impression is arteta don’t like youth and he hasn’t shown that he trusts them so it’s a tough one to watch 😢 I dno if arteta has the balls to take out a star player cos there’s a youngster forcing his hand 😢 That Cedric substituttion and Sanoge jr throw has a lot to say about it but let’s trust in the gaffer let’s see 😢

If he wants to leave arsenal that is his business ( if he is not prepared to stay and fight for his place). He's sixteen and people are acting like he's some kind of a superstar. most of the time there is a very long way between being a sixteen year old and being good enough to play comfortably in th first team at the highest level. Don't give me this lame argument about lamine Yamal as an example to prove your point! Yamal is an exception to the rule not the rule itself. We can't just be giving out spots to players just because they are sixteen an they have being looking good for 1 season in the youth academy while expecting we the team fight with man City to possibly win the Premier league.
I heard that Chido Obi Martin was staying with Arsenal after speculation that he'd be off to Bayern Munich on a professional contract. Something that British teams can't give due to him being under 17 years old, but other countries, Germany for one, can give a professional contract at 16 years old. So if you're now saying he's leaving, who knows!? *#COYGsince66*

This is what happens when a manager and club management do not give enough chance to special young talents. Arsenal had no plan for Obi-Martin and will be losing him for free alongside Ruell Walters and Cozier-Duberry. So sad.

They tried to offer him a bumper contract United paying him over the odds and probably paying agents too.
