I think if it was you, a child of yours or another family member put in a locked cage you might disagree. No choice in privacy, no freedom to experience nature, to roam freely, to only eat what is given and to have other species gawk at you without consent. Please don't act as if you would be ok with your freedom or your family's freedom being stolen. If you think you are ok with it, how about you volunteer to be a test subject for the rest of your natural life. Then we can see how at least one person's mental state handles being a prisoner. @@caitlinreilly9347

    • @ryna03

@@caitlinreilly9347also just because the enclosure doesn't have bars doesn't mean it's acceptable. Clear glass, windows or whatever still doesn't negate being held against their will. In fact, ask some people serving life. Do they want to be free to feel the grass on their feet? To swim in a lake? To climb a mountain? To take a drive or go for a jog? I mean come on. I'd rather live my life with the choice to go where I want as I choose. Even if I was told I'd live 30 years versus 60 in captivity. Nothing is meant to be caged.

    They shot the gorilla??
    Dead????????
Did the gorilla dropped the child into the enclosures?
So if a mountain lion or a bear invades your home can you be shot for the animals safety?

Animals of any kind should not be keept in an enclosure. They belong in the wild. Shameful. Il never visit a zoo or any animal whatever. OK if they are injured and can't hunt for themselves, otherwise I'd vote to closures of zoos. Not nice.

Sorry, but this what they get! He should not be there! We have all this technology and have advanced in so many ways, but we can't figure out how to get wild life back into the wild?... shows our priorities as well as our place on this earth. Humans need to butt out.

Close all zoo's. Let animals live their lives.

You see the issues with this, right? Animals aren't living their lives, many species are endangered, like gorillas, which are critically endangered. Zoos provide a second chance for species. Plus, almost all individuals in zoos now were not wild born meaning they would not survive in the wild if all the zoos just closed today and we let everyone loose and said good luck .

@@caitlinreilly9347 They aren't living their lives becuase white people keep killing them for sport and captuing them for zoos. When I was in Africa, I saw animals living their lives just fine. If they are in danger, it's from white men, not living in the wild. There have been animals that have been introduced back into their natural environment. Their are also nature presurves which is better that a cage or a fake habitat. You are part of the problem. probably white. nothing has a right to exist to you people.

There are enclosed gorillas all over the world, only in the US will zookeepers make a mistake like this. And China, possibly China.
You would expect a gorilla to escape.

Zoos are heinous. Okc zoo has concert venue forum near poor animals! Acute hearing; an acute mistake! Always too tight contained!! Go sanctuaries. Mom s lost son at cincinnati zoo, on her; had to kill Hrumbi, God awful!
