  • The baby gorilla, who made history being born via C-section, is being transferred to Cleveland. The unusual delivery is causing problems with her mother's ability to bond with her. The Fort Worth Zoo has also tried to have a surrogate mother step in, but no luck.

My opinion..and maybe people will think I'm crazy?
It has been proven they can learn to communicate their wants, wishes and desires to us.
So then it is the human's ethical mandate to teach them to communicate with us as much as possible.
Picture boards, videos whatever they need to be able to tell their keepers everything they need to communicate.
My point is...why not give them best possible education from DAY ONE.
Just like we give our own children.
SO they can express their desires in life.
It does not have to be so zoo-like
      We can educate them!!!
      They want it...they need it!!!
I really think the Gorillas should have access to videos books whatever they need
to be able to communicate and integrate with humans...
It SHOULDN'T be like... ......"OH LOOK! They are TRYING to communicate with us! Ha ha LOOK how smart!"
WE KNOW HOW INTELLIGENT THEY ARE.
      This isn't a game!
SO...In my opinion...they should be educated from day one HOW TO communicate with us to the highest degree.
I strongly believe this IS our ethical mandate.
To teach them how to express their wants, needs and desires to us.
So that we can fulfill those WANTS, NEEDS and DESIRES.
They live as captives in our world.
Earning their keep....so to speak..as humans pay to watch them.
Their world is basically the size of a postage stamp relative to their natural habitat.
If only they could be in their own environment safely...OF COURSE this would be dangerous for them.
....they would be at risk of becoming "bush meat" in their habitat.
      Think of it like this,
the Gorillas' habitat is their "COUNTRY", their "NATION"...
If they are deprived of their nation because of us humans.
At least, AT THE VERY LEAST!!!
These Gorillas are entitled to as much education as possible
So as to communicate with their keepers to the highest degree.
I believe it is the keepers' ETHICAL MANDATE to teach them to communicate
as they would their own human children.
      PERIOD.
I despise that these super sentient beings are so confined...they look a little bit stressed and bored to me...
AS I would be if this was my place in this world....being stared at...no less by random strangers.
Even if this is the best possible environment for them and we humans are doing a WONDERFUL JOB!!!
There keepers ARE doing a wonderful job!
This situation will never be good enough unless they can communicate with US TO THE HIGHEST DEGREE!
AS has been proven......to be POSSIBLE!

I’m not a gorilla expert but that woman holding Jamela needs to be wearing a gorilla suit. She has to look exactly like a gorilla to care for that baby. A friend of mine worked at the Bronx Zoo for many years. The baby looks good.

    • @gigicostlow4414
      @gigicostlow4414 2 месяца назад +2

No she does not have to wear a gorilla suit. Even the rescues in Africa do not wear a gorilla suit with the babies and they are eventually released back into the wild. I don't know of any zoo or rescue that wears a gorilla suit when rearing a baby. Don't know where you get your info from, but it's wrong.

5:00 Wee Jameela needs to be nursed, she is _constantly_ searching for a teat.
I hope that the other family adopts her with no issue, I feel as though her real family might've
sensed that she was premature & thought that she wouldn't of made it. In the wild they don't have
drs/vets to help with medical issues, so her chances wouldve been much more slim.

If the gorilla suffers a traumatic and/or premature birth, it’s possible the correct hormones were not produced in the mother to enable the mothering instinct. Imagine never having a baby before, you don’t know you’re pregnant, and you wake up groggy and in pain with a wriggling thing on top of you.
