I'm glad to see someone else glue them together too..it bothered me when I made mine and saw the fabric. I also just got done using HTV on the back of a batch I made. I made sure it was in the same color group I was working with. I feel it will help keep them from fraying too. I loved your Buffalo Check, they were so cute!
This is by far the best earring video I’ve seen. Have you ever tried putting heat transfer vinyl on the back of the leather before cutting to finish the back? I was wondering how that would work.
Hello! Thank you so much for your video. Quick question: I am having trouble with glueing both sides together. I used E6000 and had to put a book down over the earrings to press overnight. There were still some that came apart even after "drying" for 24 hours. I have tried other fabric glue and jewelry glue, but they come out hard and all over my fingers. Help! What is the best to glue both sides together and for how long?
I have a question....how do you stop the earring from flipping sideways and backward on the hooks when wearing? The loop on the earring itself is from front to back and so is the jump ring, so it wants to hang sideways when it is assembled. When I try to bend the loop on the earring so is flat (side to side) it breaks! :(
Hi. Good question. If you add an additional jump ring, your earring should face to the front (a total of two jump rings). Another option would be to use the hook where you can put the earring right onto the hook as shown in this video (just fast forward to the end). ruclips.net/video/OyY5u_8Kh18/видео.html

It doesn’t show as much if you create a double sided faux leather before you make the cut. See my video on using heat n bond. However if your faux leather has a thick backing it it hard to make it without the backing showing up. I e become more picky about my faux leather backing color for this reason. And I am now addicted to buying double sided faux leather.
do you have a link for the complete set of SVG templates for the earrings? not just the tree or the Christmas bundle, all the earrings you showed in the beginning of the video, you said you bought it on Etsy but im not seeing it and would really like some of the templates that were shown. thank you
Hi Layne. Here is a link to the full winter bundle. I mistakenly said Etsy because I buy a lot of my digital files there. But this one came from a different place. cutcraftdiy.com/product/winter-tear-drop-earrings-bundle-18-pcs-svg-and-dxf-cut-files/ Sorry about that.
question ,,,I have tried to cut the earrings and its not cutting as well as you have done. so can you help. or guide me . I bought from the HL and some are thin and others are thick. Materials.
Hi Toni. Some of the Hobby Lobby Faux ribbon cuts so easily. Others is thin or furry and a bit harder. I have tried a few things that has worked for me - I have ironed on black heat transfer vinyl to the back. This has worked for me and gives the back a nice, finished look. I have also put strong hold contact paper behind some of the hobby lobby ribbon and that has worked for me. I’d be curious to hear if that works for you. As far as the thick material, are you using the 1mm setting and it won’t cut all the way through?
And one more thing... if you are having an issue with the red/black buffalo check, there’s something else wrong because that one cuts perfectly on the 1mm setting. Another thing you can do is remove you blade housing. Push the button to see if there is stuff clogged up in the blade. This happens a lot. If not you may need to sharpen in. Just poke it in and out of crumpled up foil to sharpen.
How do you get the tree cut out in the middle? When I try this it separates my image from my earring to cry and cut my teardrop earring and then my separate image.

Love how you just lay the roll on the mat to not waste. I didn't think about doing that. These are so cute
thanks for watching.

I really like your idea of protecting the part of the mat not needed with your mat cover!
Great tip for using the material back to back with the buffalo plaid and the black. It looks better on all sides, especially if one has shorter hair.
Great information. Love the tips for covering your mat and also cutting two set to double up. Love the finished look.
thanks!!
This is by far the best earring video I’ve seen. Have you ever tried putting heat transfer vinyl on the back of the leather before cutting to finish the back? I was wondering how that would work.
Yes. I used to do that all the time. Now I normally use heat n bond to make a double sided faux leather and then cut it.
So cute!
thanks so much!
Awesome detailed video! Thanks for the jump ring tool tip!
I ordered the jump ring tool and it's supposed to be delivered today! My nose is pressed up against my front window! haha!
Thank you!

What was the name of the red and black material? I know you got it at hobby lobby, but i missed the actual name
It seems like the faux leather from hobby lobby is so flimsy. Do you put anything on the back of the leather?
What blade do you need to cut the faux leather with your cricket do you use the original blade or do you need a another blade if so which blade
You can use the normal fine blade for faux leather. You have to switch to the deep cut blade if you are cutting genuine leather.
My Inspiration Corner thank you so much
what size is the svg earring
Cute!!🙋🏻😍💜 TFS
Thank you! 🤗
Can you unlock the back one and make a lil wider?
Good question. Yes - you can unlock the back earring and make it wider so that the color/pattern peeks out around the sides.
How did you get the different images to save as individual images? I keep trying but can only get it to save as one image with 64 items.

So glad it was helpful!
Can you please tell me where to purchase the earing bundle that you showed?
Hi. Here is the winter bundle URL: cutcraftdiy.com/product/winter-tear-drop-earrings-bundle-18-pcs-svg-and-dxf-cut-files/
I don’t like seeing the white edge of the vinyl. How can I fix that?

All you had to do was copy an earring and contour it to lose the tree and you knew for sure then that it would match perfect.
How do you get the tree cut out in the middle? When I try this it separates my image from my earring to cry and cut my teardrop earring and then my separate image.
I am so sorry for my delay. I can't figure out why the tree would cut separately. Are you using the same SVG file that I used?
Where did you buy the earring bundle can you share the link where I can buy it thank you!!!!
