You are the first leather earring video I've found which knows how to open a jump ring. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Thank you for explaining how to use a jump ring, the visual of the larger jump ring was perfect! I've been trying to make earrings, but I couldn't figure out how to use the jump ring .
What a great idea to emboss! I’m so glad I saw this before I did anything else. So far I’ve just been cutting my leather and I plan on taking this project with me this summer when I go with my husband on his truck. I’ll have to emboss some before I leave. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas.
Fab earrings & great tute. I do make jewelry & discovered TE about a month ago. I have since purchased several of your dies & so excited about your new Designer Dangles line you just released. I'm about to pop in the shop & purchase the new ones but I remembered your tutorial. Great explanations. I am looking forward to trying the embossing process for my first time. Thank you so much. PS: I love using my Sizzix Big Shot for cutting.
Great demos. Thank you for your detailed descriptions & tips. Well done.
Beautiful... can't wait to recieve my dies so I can try making these myself...especially the heat embossed ones...absolutely gorgeous...!! ❤
Share some photos! We'd love to see what you create. :)
Beautiful.......
That is so cool .. I made my Earrings by free hand cutting but I love these die I should buy them..thank you so much
You definitely should try the dies! It's way better than fussy cutting!
@@TayloredExpressions Exactly 💓
Woow it amazing what is this machine
Could you please tell me what machine you are using
Is there a way to cut them without the holes, in order to make the pinched petal style vs the teardrop style? Thanks!
No, the holes are included on the dies.
Ehat is that .machine you put the leather through with the astic on top. Thanks.
I tried looking for the earring die cut in the website . And I could not find it. I want to purchase it.
I love this!! Do these also cut through real leather?
No, leather is too thick for our dies. If you can find a super thin one, maybe, but I can't guarantee it.
@@TayloredExpressions thank you!!
Hello, what is the name of the machine you are using to cut the leather???
Sable Kirkland a Sizzix Big Shot die cutting machine
Can these be made without that machine?
No, you will need a die-cutting machine to cut out the shapes (nothing else has enough pressure - trust me, when I first started, I tried a list of things with no success.. LOL)
Which die cutter you used?
Big Shot from Sizzix
What is the solution you cover the leather with at the 13:25 mark. I am near deaf and I can not make out what you are calling it. It looks tempting to do and is this on your website? Thanks for the video.
Embossing Powder! :)
@@TayloredExpressions Thanks for answering so fast, but that is not what I was actually asking about. You used some on a solution on the leather before you inked it. You saturated it quite a bit. Thanks again
@@rblues4u I believe that's the powder tool. It's an anti-static tool that's applied before stamping and embossing so that the embossing powder only sticks to the portions that have been stamped. Does this look like it? www.tayloredexpressions.com/ek-tools-powder-tool-applicator/
@@TayloredExpressions Yes that was it thanks for the answer.
Can you use genuine leather?
No, it's too thick.
Yes you can use genuine leather, I do it all the time. Some tannery's will "GIVE away their scraps for free, because they just throw them away anyway. Check in your area
I’ve used thin leather with these dies and it cut nicely.
What kind of die cut machine do you have or recommend?
teachmebooks sizzix big shot is what we use
@@TayloredExpressions thank you so much for responding. Do you know if your "die cut plates" would work in a school style die cut machine? It's a decent size and thought it would be a good way for me to just get started. I can use it whenever I want. Your thoughts? It is the Accucut school style die cut machine.
@@teachmebooks No, our dies don't work with Accucut.
Thank you.
Ok, so will all Sizzix die cut machines work with these plates? Like the side kick? I am just trying to be practical before I get too far into it to make sure I can handle it.
These are too small. Most women buy them larger.
It's all personal preference, baby.
