By the way...the window ones also make excellent trip wire alarms. Rubber band the two pieces together on one end. Tie a trip wire to the other end. When the wire is walked through the sensor is pulled off and the the alarm goes off. Just a heads up.
I would say if you break in this dudes house, a noisy alarm is the least of your worries. This is probably a dude that don't play. Good vid

4 packs of battery operated window alarms, picked a set up a few mo nths back. walmart sells em for 14 bucks. dollar tree way to go, man.
If you are sleeping soundly on the far side of the house, you won’t hear this. The robber/kidnapper/zombie can quickly close the door or window and the alarm will stop. I use an old baby monitor from the two vulnerable doors to my bedroom so I can hear that alarm at full volume. Yes, the refrigerator’s ice maker sounds like a marauder. So does the air conditioner switch, and water heater. So much for a full night’s sleep, but it is what it is.

GE has the starter kit that has a keychain where you can remotely controll the alarm for this device.
I was about to say the going around the house arming and disarming the individual devices is a chore in of itself where as a bit more cash you can have a central control through an app or something similar

Trip wires for camp security is an incredible idea IF they are waterproof. Not so sure that they are. Put them in a condom, may muffle slightly, but should still be plenty loud and magnets go thru.latex.
From what I understand there is no light to indicate that the alarm has been activated.

So what happens when the batteries die? Last I check LR44 cannot be recharged, and even your AAA batteries are cheap quality non-rechargeable.

Careful when unscrewing the battery compartment, that screw strips really easily. I had to toss one of my alarms because of it.

I brought mine from Walmart it was 17 dollars Philips key pad door alarm
I just bought one and its not working.
Not being able to switch from alarm to chime without having to go to each door makes this system kinda shitty and the main door one useless. I got one of the single window alarms in my daughters room it works a purpose. For what it is it’s nice, but at the same time a chore to arm and disarm.
I got both of these at Wal-Mart for total of 25.00

Chic C there's an off switch on the smaller ones. The main one requires a 4 digit code that you set.
What kind of batteries? Those batteries can cost as much as the system??? How much are the batteries?
