This is kinda exhausting, if you think about it, everyone on Instagram wants or thinks they're creators, even if they like a bunch of you're pics or vids they don't follow you cause you don't have many followers, it's a constant battle of egos

Reels? Oh no, please, not again! Not long ago Misseri said that they had gone too far in pushing reels so much. Did they change their mind for the umpteenth time? Whywhywhy instagram always seems to go against its users? Why they have to make such a big deal of their stupid algorithm? Let my followers decide if they like my content or not 😱
The followers are fine with your content but pictures dont have a scrolling feed which boost the dopamine like reels so you dont reach so much people who are not following you.
which is exactly why they'll be losing more and more active users to Tiktok - especially now that tiktok is acting as ecommerce and having their own editing that pretty much more more advanced than insta in-app editing. Instagram will survive, but unless they change the algorithm and update - the battlefield is tough to win
Yeah i tought so but i upload reels and all the people who watches them are followers, my videos are watched on average by 3 people that do not follow me how to fix that?
How could I grow with static content? I'm not comfortable yet to do videos

Do reels penalise you if you use your brand watermark or that just apply when using recycling content or other social platforms watermarks?
recycled content mostly from Tiktok gets shadowbanned

So I have reels that have over 1M views… now, how do I make money with those? I don’t make anything from those. Not sure how to.
you dont make money from those. The ended the creator fund. your best bet is to answer comments and direct traffic to a website where you sell stuff. or pin a comment directing traffic to your products or services.
No disrespect, but do ANY of us really know how the algorithm works? It feels like the information gets outdates almost as soon as it gets uploaded. Things change so quick

You haven't mentioned deleting metadata from a video used on another platform though, but It's also very important.
I reposted tiktok vids on insta, and the one with cleaned metadata got 14K views within 24 hours, the same video I posted a day earlier with metadata, same quality, same posting time hardly got 100 views
there are free metacleaner apps to use for this

I've never even used Instagram reels. I just post photos for people I know.

Despite 2 accounts and massive effort, IG is the platform that yields me least results. It’s going to get less of my time. The algorithms are a mess and IG serves ADHD people
