This video was great, but there were a lot of references to other videos you made to fill in some gaps. Nothing wrong with that at all, I think it’s a great practice. However, I’m pretty much a total newb with IG and it already feels overwhelming without having to watch multiple videos. For someone like me, I think one long comprehensive video that goes A-Z would be extremely helpful.

Hi, thanks for the kind words! The idea is to engage with accounts regularly all day, yes, but there are limits. You can be action blocked for doing between 60-100 actions per hour (liking and commenting), so you need to keep an eye on that. Hi! by chance, do you know when a previously shared post isn't taken into consideration anymore for further recommendations? A sort of expiration date? Could I get recommended something based off something I shared 2 years ago? Or is it only recent posts?
Hi Veronica, they don't share how large or small of a window they use for recency, but it wouldn't be months, always recent posts. You can always share the same posts again, we've seen creators get traction on content that they originally posted years ago and then reposted it to a much higher reach. - C

Two questions: do you recommend three posts a day or one carousel? And I got suspended by mistake, it was corrected in minutes but I wonder if my engagement still suffered due to that? My engagement had dropped a lot when my account was getting like 50-100 followers a day. Could it be the mistake of the suspension, leaving a bad taste in IG’s mouth? or could it be something else?
Hi, three posts a day is a lot, and unless you have a team or it's all you do, it doesn't sound sustainable. Our recommended post cadence is 3-4 times a week, or whatever you can consistently maintain. The suspension could potentially effect your reach, it's tough to know for sure. - C

When you follow some brand accounts, you also get other requests from similar brands. How does the algorithm work in that part? How can they find us?
Hi Leah, that can happen because some brands will go through the accounts that other brands are following, or that follow them, and then shoot them a follow as there's a strong chance they'll follow a similar brand back. - C

Hi! So I engage A LOT with accounts similar to mine. I post frequently of carousels and reels and yet my non follower reach is LOW. What else can I do?
Hi! So one main thing is to switch up your content. Typically it's the content itself that isn't resonating with people, and therefore the algorithm doesn't feed it to new folks. Test out a few different things (within the scope of Reels and Carousels) over a couple of months and see if anything specific tends to perform better than others, then lean into that - C

Hello, I created an account under my personal account about 2 yrs ago and never used it at all, didn’t even filled in bio or profile pic, now I took that account and changed the name started posting regularly with reels and whatnot, also liking and commenting on other accounts but I don’t see any activity at all… do you think I need to delete that one and start another brand new account ?? Hi Walter, that's odd that you're seeing no activity. Do you use hashtags? Are you following people? Do you have any followers at all? I'd suggest to keep testing but if it doesn't kick in then you might need to start fresh - C

I own a small business and I’m diving back into posting more content . I have only 677 followers , I did took a break from IG and not posting for a while and now I’m trying to get back into it. I started posting 2 days ago in my story which it get views but the engagements suck on my page when I post the same content . Hashtag wise I use it but yet I don’t know if that is helping at all. For a boost in hashtag what would you recommend number wise as in should the hashtag I use should it be under 100k , 30k or less so it can reach people . Please help
Hi! That sounds about normal for an account that needs to be brought back to life. As far as hashtags, stick mostly to under 100k, preferably under 50k. Our formula is 15 niche (less than 100k), 10 medium (100k to 1m) and 5 large (over 1m). The large are optional as they have a much lower impact. Hope that helps! - C
I have a question. I do fanart of celebrities and their movies. Is it consider rude to tag their names on my artwork posts or is it a better chance to boost up the algorithms? Thank you. 🙂
Hi Bridget, it's definitely not rude to tag them at all. I can't see it assisting in your reach in any way unless the celebrity shares it, but it certainly won't hurt! - C

And also does deleting a reel effect your page because I delete and repost at a different time
It shouldn't, no, but overall I'd recommend avoiding doing that continually. Here and there is fine but eventually it might start to hurt your reach. - C
I posted a random movie skit with no hashtags, and it hit 28k views. Original audio. It’s still going up. How did that happen?
That's awesome! Potentially someone with a following saw it and reposted it, or because IG SEO now includes almost every element of the post, it may have come up in searches for the movie title (even without hashtags). - C

Hi Adrian, it all depends on whether you have proof of your notability. They want to see 5 pieces of major press in globally recognized publications, so if you have that, you have a chance. - C
After being banned my reach and engagement are decreasing.I had 4.5m reach and 300K likes now the numbers are decreasing.Is it part of a punishment that will stop at one or it will continue
Hi Sanaan, that all depends on what happened. If you've been banned, it's possible that your reach may never recover, I'm not entirely sure. I imagine the severity of the ban may contribute, too. - C

Nice video guys. Hope to take gain high my reach. I've gained 100.000 followers in 4 months, all went perfect, but now all it's blocked. I haven't also the possibility to add topics on my reels. We have to wait the new blue badge for raise up the engagement again?
Hi! Interesting, 100k in 4 months is a great effort, seems odd that it'd just stop unless you breached their guidelines. You can try a bunch of things to get your reach back up, but the paid verification may be a way to guarantee more reach, we'll have to see once it's launched - C
I have had the exact same experience. 100 K in 2 months. One of my reels went viral and at some point I had 3 k followers per day. Now it has stopped and my reach has drastically decreased. Specifically none follower reach and I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. Can it be that the best time for posting has changed?
@@Neginsss hey! Thanks for share with us your experience! I have many viral contents. I offer education contents so it’s easy that people share and watch more times them! I’m thinking that IG sometimes push our contents and onore other times don’t push it. I share every day something new and people who see it loves it. But they have to see it! For example one of friend on IG share every day a video with the guitar, like my contents. But he uses always the same 3 hashtags and reach always 100/500.000 people. Every single day! That’s absurd. (And we have both high quality contents!)
@@morgiu Interesting, I’m also sharing educational content, easy painting tutorials and sometimes I feel like it’s very random how some posts get higher reach. Because the engagement on the other ones are pretty good too. Have been trying out different hashtag strategies but haven’t figured it out yet. I see some people who don’t use any hashtags and have a high reach but I tried and failed.

Somewhat, yeah. Algorithms definitely favour accounts that are receiving and generating engagement. Once you look at the logic behind the algos, it makes a lot more sense why they do what they do, especially if you see your feed in chronological order. It's definitely not how we remembered it 😂 - C
