Ever since Instagram got rid of the ' recent' tab in the hashtags, my reach has been nonexistent, I'm a small art account & I try to post regularly (reels, posts, stories ,... ) It seems like the algorithms are favouring already big & established accounts....

The old algorithm was better. I used to run multiple accounts and it was pretty straightforward on how to grow an account now it's like you can have a few thousand followers and you'll never show up for anyone
I honestly have gotten so tired of all of these algorithm videos. It is completely taken away from the freedom of creativity. We focus so much on views, algorithms, etc. that we’ve lost sight of being creative. This is another bird in that does not need to be.

Thank you for making these videos. It helps so much!. The one thing I think is fishy about the IG algorithm is that you can post a video on TikTok and it gets a ton of views just naturally without spending hours on the platform as a creator, but on IG it goes nowhere. I'm just starting a business and I have 50 followers on IG and most of my posts get a few views at best I've followed the IG rules they've set out for us. I just opened a TikTok account, posted a single video and have received 557 views and have 4 followers from just that video. I've done nothing since and I continue to get views. This tells me that IG is blocking views to make us creators stay on the platform just as much as the viewers do. It feels like we're getting scammed to make us use IG as much as viewers. Love your content! ♥♥♥
I love this thank you. I think I am just going to focus on TikTok. IG seems to be alot of work and a waste of time if you don't already have a following. I am sure if you to its great for engagement.
I’m experiencing the same issue!! I posted a animation I did on Instagram and had like only 5 people see it and then I post it onto tiktok and got 3k views and I’m like wait what?? So that kind of shows a lot that Instagram is making it harder for us artist and business people to showcase our stuff.
2:15 CST. I'm new to IG. Somebody told me it was easy so I approached it that way - not good esp for somebody low-tech like me. I've been forced to check out some videos which I should have done first. This channel and the comments have been very helpful.

I started interacting with small music accounts and now the algorithm gives me more of those accounts. But I still see a huge problem where mostly established creators are Primarily the only ones getting pushed out

I would be very interested in a video for absolute beginners in the social media world, because I started posting reels on TikTok and Instagram a week ago and most videos I see are for people that already have a few followers because how can I interact with my audience when there is no yet? IG punishes you if you're not on the app or "engagement." My Reels were doing very well previously, then I got sick and was off IG for 4 weeks. Now my Reels don't even get 1k views, and I'm a niche that posts the same content.
Lol same here.. I’m at 20+k followers and my posts all were doing amazing, my posts were almost always on people’s explore page, I know this because I was gaining a ton of followers a day. I got sick and didn’t upload for a week and everything went the opposite way. I’m struggling to get new followers

The part about the content not hitting like it used to is what I honed in on. There's a lot of content creators that are also conspiracy "theorists" that refuse to accept that their content only had a limited shelf life to begin with, and that they were going to have to come up with new ideas eventually. They got so used to being able to just keep putting out the same slop week after week. Also, for FB, I found a way around ads that got me likes without having to buy any sponsored content. Nobody gave me a strike for it.
I love your videos and I feel like they’ve really helped. I started a new account 12 weeks ago and already have 350 followers (fifty gained just this week). Most of my reels are a couple hundred views and one with over 10k. Thanks for all your advice.

About the original content part - I've heard it might be useful when you just started out that you do use trending audios tho so you get shown to more people to even be found in the beginning. Do you disagree here? Of course it can still be original, but maybe not solely and as much as when you do your own audios and upload them, right?

Instagram keeps blocking people for no reason, something popped up from instagram saying I needed to change my password because I was paying for likes and going against community guidelines, i never have! It’s happening to so many people, also they killed my reach, extremely frustrating as I’m trying to be a full time creator and they are making it impossible! What is going on?
Same happened to me. Block was over today. Posted and commented on my own post and have been blocked from commenting for another week

@ik_ralph I think it's a glitch. So the next block was meant to last until the 28th but IG let me comment a couple days later. Is your block over or just started?
@@janineshort1183 mine was over on Monday but I remember that the same day I posted a reel last week, I got the block immediately after it and I was like WTF IG. I used to get good reach last year and into the new year but since January, everything has been buns. Don’t matter if you post 100 reels a day or stories or what have you. Time that you post doesn’t even do anything anymore. It’s just disheartening
It’s easy to understand how algorithm works but it is still hard to keep up with algorithm 😢. I feel like rn you have to spend money to make sure your contents get views.
