We went to Kihei for our beach day in Maui. It was beautiful as well. Soft, golden sand with rocks off to the side. No need for water shoes. There were 3 beach parks in a row. Our Lyft driver said #2 was the best. There was a great Shave Ice place across the street that we went to as well before heading back to the ship. Thanks so much for sharing these videos. It’s a beautiful way to relive our week in Hawaii aboard the POA.
Great video! Very helpful info such as getting the equipment in the dive shop. Even cool to see food shopping as that's helpful. Love the handwritten sign about water conditions! Was delightful to see you enjoy your first day in Maui! Thanks for sharing.
Airport Beach….great beach in Kaanapali. Tree lined free parking lot with a grassy area that has bathrooms and a covered pavilion. Located next to the Weston. Long Beach with very calm water…..in the summer, nice coral, loads of fish…also has an outdoor shower as well. Visibility on calm days is easily 100 yards underwater, you can hear spinner dolphins as they go by, the crackling of brine shrimp….ahh….Maui No Ka Oi !
This channel is absolutely fantastic. I am living in Hawaii over 30 years but watching this channel this days makes me feel like I am on a trip to Hawaii. I am really enjoying watching it. Thank you and God bless 💖
So happy to se you guys traveling like us ordinary folks. Convince store run, before beach etc. that’s what sets you guys apart from other vlogers. REAL
We were looking for Pride of America videos and were so glad to see that you guys had some! If you ever come across another sea turtle and you have any concerns that it might be hurt, please do call it in so someone can check on it or reassure you that it’s probably ok. I guess some sea turtles in hawaii do bask on land sometimes, so hopefully that’s what this one was doing, but it doesn’t hurt to call the experts to make sure.
Love your channel BTW. In Hawaii, the shell and head stays on when we eat. That's where the flavor is. Hitting up Alaska on NCL's last voyage for 2022 and watch all your 2020 videos for tips.
I have snorkeled at Kaanapali beach. It’s a nice sandy beach with plenty of beautiful fish and turtles. It’s famous for Black Rock cliff jumping. I definitely could see Jason jumping!
Haha we were at Napili bay yesterday and stopped at Joeys Kitchen too-still have some of the garlic chicken in fridge. Going to Honolula bay to snorkel tomorrow
We stayed 2 weeks (February 2021) on Maui. You must go back SO MUCH TO EXPERIENCE!!! One of the most beautiful places we’ve visited! Great video ~Cara 😊
Great video. Just FYI it is illegal to touch or disturb a sea turtle in Hawaii. If you see them on the beach enjoy them from afar. Someone on our cruise in 2016 got reprimanded by the police
I researched doing this cruse next year. The high cost and hassles like you describe with the rental car is why I decided to skip the cruise. We will fly to HON, do a few days there, then fly to Maui for a few days. Less cost than NCL cruise.
Really enjoyed your video! We did this cruise in 2015 and the ship provided very convenient parking very close to the ship for our rental cars. We reserved our car in advance and the rental car company provided transportation to their office. The ship even had a special place for all the rental shuttles. We thought the experience was seamless! So sorry to hear that has changed!
Maui is my favorite island. People crow about Kauai, but it's not as gorgeous as Maui. I hope you are buying the cut up fresh pineapple in these places (market) as it is the best pineapple you will ever eat!!!
We just went to Maui for our second time last month. We shopped at the same market for groceries at the condo (stayed really close to there). Had a blast snorkeling in Kapalua bay for a few days for sure. We are also from Louisiana!
It was odd to see the sea turtle laying eggs so close to the shore and also during daylight. They usually lay their eggs after dark and much further away from shore.
Go down to Ka'anipali beach long beautiful beach..Wailea doesnt have great sandy beaches but sea turtles down threre, Worked for Apple vacations was a Hawaii expert......retired now! Enjoy!!!!
I enjoy your channel, glad y’all made it to Maui. If y’all ever come back you should use Turo for your car. You can get a nicer car at a cheaper price and have it delivered to you. Nice car, save money, less hassle.
Personally, our favorite island is Maui, been there about 6 or 7 times, but our Favorite beaches are on the big Island! There are green and black sand beaches there! Hope you managed to check out the waterfalls! Shouldn't be missed! If course, youneed to save some tuings to see and check out for the next time! Vickie from SE Pa

Great video. Yes, they really should do overnights in the Caribbean. That would be fantastic. I know they do overnights in Bermuda & when I went to San Juan we didn't leave till like 11pm. But I would be thrilled with overnights
I was thinking when you were talking about parking, I was wondering, “why don’t they just park in one of the lots by Longs Drug store or Safeway?” I’m glad you got the tip about parking! I surely miss the Pride of America as I worked on the ship for 2 years. Thank you for the memories! I hope you all had a fabulous time! Aloha💕🤙🏾
It's looks awesome, I think 🙏🏽 that we, my husband and myself will do this in 3 years for our 30 anniversary. Question how do you like the full face snorkel mask?
Can you tell me where you got on the ship at,example Long Beach? Also approximately how much does the trip cost for the ship and hotels, food. Thank you. Have never been to Hawaii. We are considering for our 50th wedding Anniversary.
You see a lot of mangoes on the ground here in Florida as many people dont actually harvest them off the trees on their property. We go around to neighbor's homes down the street that have a couple and ask of we can grab some. Could never understand why folks here plant them if they arent gonna pick them???
Great to watch your videos. In Toronto and saw a Doctor and confirmed that it was small baby Jelly fish that stun me. Gave me pills like the shot I had to reduce the swelling. Good thing I wore my speedo when I went swimming with the Dolphins in the Ocean. Doctor said it will take me a month to recover. Have a great evening Cheers.!
