I love how tiny the court looks
yes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fucking cameras !!!!
And the itty-bitty rackets? 😂
And the net is not at the proper height....
That’s what I was going to comment haha.
😅🤣😂
Two giants playing ping pong
Once in a life time moment 😂
Once in a lifetime... except for the other 5 times they've already played🤷🏽♂️
@@benlancaster9263 any other final?
@@lobomalsano No, this was their first ATP final meeting.
@@jaisharma5201 Dallas?
@@Chris-ln9cz They played in the semi-final in Dallas.
Great battle of the giants. Opelka is really finding his groove on almost all surfaces now.
@Rafa Undisputed goat ??? How Can you Come up with this response to this comment...
@Rafa Undisputed goat This stupid reply has nothing to do with the original post. There is no reason for trolling. That's disrespectful to the poster.
First meeting on clay!
Opelka is getting better..
@UCoUBDDt1Dc7GzZHjFfXLvNg Come on you are wearing everyone out! Sheesh!
The second serve of Opelka must have the highest bounce of all time, it hits the backside of the court at head height. Ridiculous.
It’s honestly unreal how the pros can return these serves…like yes the first serve is amazing, but that second serve leaves me speechless.
Actually Isner was tired. He played a set extra in every match.
@@wastefellow7166 well that’s part of the journey to winning the title lol. If you drop less sets you probably played better and therefore will deserve it more
I've been wondering all week if Reilly has ever kicked one over the wall
6'8" guy hitting a 90-100mph kick-serve on clay?
That's going to lift pretty high...
2:58 Opelka kick second serve is insane oO
how tf is a normal pro going to get that lol
@@littlelogan only few pros can serve kick serve with such speed
@@littlelogan on the larger courts the returner can stand way back which is the only way.
Ive seen him do that a few times, its ridiculous.
7:15 this is also insane kick serve : 115 mph.
When you play a younger, better version of yourself. Opelka has Isner's number.
not at all... just better today.... very even overall bud
@@chalecmouse268 opelka winning the last 5 meetings in a row doesn't suggest the same
@@chalecmouse268 Isner's had a great career, but it's tough getting older.
@@chalecmouse268 cmon man, be smarter
@@luc7054 i mean, yea, he won, but they didn't play anything but tiebreaks everytime, so those matches were actually very even. but I agree with opelka being a bit better overall.
Opelka is a very good mover for a man that size! Great athlete especially on dirt!
It's only fair when these two are playing against each other, the net's height be increased by half a meter:)
If I could thumbs up that a million times I would
Surprisingly, there were a decent amount of rallies in this match.
Translation: "surprisingly these 7 feet tall stiff servebots can do things other than serve"
@@jerrybronham Or that sentence can work too :D
Yes I was surprised myself!
Not surprising to anyone who has watched these two...
Not to mention the strength of the serve and the length of the reach, Opelka has a surprisingly good footwork. It looks like Isner's upward compatibility.
and his game is diverse now. He's doing a great job
The umpire had to reach up from his chair to shake their hand
I really like Opelka's forehand, so compact and powerful
@Rafa Undisputed goat djoko will defeat him easy
@Rafa Undisputed goat rafa is a washed up, djoko holds all the records and he would have 21 gs if not for the vaccine bs. djoko will take rg again no doubt, sorry
At the beginning, I thought Opelka was just another tall guy that would stagnate around the 20s to 30s ranking. He's proved me wrong, what a player. He'll be a problem for any top player
He defeated Medvedev in atp1000 hard court tournament
When he will be? He hasn't played much for two years now😢
Opelka is upgraded Isner, but John is LEGEND
Legend? He never even reached the top 5
both of them are Legend
@@JohnSmith-qp4bt yeah...so you need to reach top 5 to be a legend?😂 What a great argument. He has Sunshine Double in doubles with different partners. That is very exclusive achievement. He indeed is a legend.
Congratulations Opelka. I was rooting for the both of you
It's just one guy actually (hard to believe I know)
Looks like two NBA players having fun playing tennis for the weekend..
How on earth a giant like Opelka can move so fast? Never seen a huge human moving that fast. And his 2nd serve is insane.
Fun to watch these guys, thank you both!!
That Opelka serve is IMPOSSIBLE 🤣
To be fair, Isner is like 36 years old (12 years older than Opelka). And tennis fans would know 30s is considered 'past your prime' and generally the age to retire. If only Isner was the same age as Opelka, it would've been an interesting journey to see 2 giants go at it and then later on compare both H2H statistics.
And also way more tired by the previous matches that went the distance. It's quite evident he had no energies left, also reason why he forced himself to serve and volley in order to shorten points, and the tactic had mixed results. Difficult for him to return the insane kick ad serve with his weak backhand. He should have tried to take it on the rise rather than being pulled out wide. Easier said than done of course
No excuses. Prime is just a word used to justify players' losses
@@StudyingManually what an incompetent comment from a very uneducated newbie. You probably started watching tennis last year and have no clue what you're talking about
How does Opelka move like that at 6.11?!?! On the real real real...and Opelka's serve is scary LMAO! It bounces almost into the stands sometimes. How are you supposed to return that?!?!?!
He has the FASTEST serve in the world.
Like you play a volley , not in topspin
Good parenting. They made him work on the strength of his legs from a young age.
Anybody can have knee problems while carrying such height.
Isner is far more impressive considering his age and longevity in this sport.
Loved watching this match, it felt like the intensity levels went from 100 to 0 after their serves. Two big men getting around the court in almost slow motion at times. Regardless outstanding final
LOL is your comment ironic?
Their movement only looks slow because they are so tall but they cover the court as well as most smaller players due to their reach.
@@thorium222 I completely agree was just commenting on my eye test ! Was more of a sarcastic comment then genuinely suggesting they stopped trying
These guys are so big that the court actually looks smaller
impressed by Opelka's game improvement
So Opelka undefeated on the Texas two-step.
Winning Dallas and Houston.
I gotta say nice looking court Houston, a tad bit more space would make it perfect imo, and maybe a one more level of seats, I love the look of intimate courts like this in pro tennis, it feels more prestigious to me for some reason
The lack of room at the back of court certainly plays into the big servers hands.
But yeah - lovely looking court
Battle of the giants! 💪
Rip their crazy tiebreak streak
I actually love this matchup
I'm so glad that Opelka had improved A LOT his mobility
this is not the final i expected at the start of the week lol
I think Opelka is coming along very nicely. Could be a few dominant years ahead for the young guy. That serve of his made Kyrgios, who is a beast, look meek. Huge man. Huge talent.
2 big gentlemen, Opelka has a more complete game so deserved the win. congrats championship! always love Reilly he dare to play n dare to talk. great guy!
Great tennis to watch no dramas. thank you and congrats
Both will be interesting at French Open. It looks like a game of table-tennis between these two!
None of them will be interesting at the French.
@@elektrik_exekutioner6822 Maybe. That's why I said interesting as opposed to exciting: Let's see. Was Robin Soderling not interesting in the French Open (before he got glandular fever)?
Opelka's fire power is impressive.
So sad that isner couldnt convert any of his break points or even his set points
6:52 this point is just unluck
Opelka moves really well around the court. Impressive.
I thoroughly enjoyed this match. Congrats to both guys for reaching the finals. Special congratulations to Opelka on his win. To be honest I really didn't mind who came out the victor but I really love to see the giant of a man play. Opelka is phenomenal. I love his game and he has a super fantastic serve. Many more wins are coming your way!
Opelka is such a nice cuddle bear! Well done!
Opelka has gone the same direction as Kevin Anderson. Developed his game into becoming a complete player.
he has no serious results after this match
Opelka is the true serve bot. The bounce from his serves are ridiculous
Great match. Fun to watch these giants battle it out.
Opelka's forehand return was super amazing.!!
Didn’t know this channel is featuring touch tennis now! Awesome!
I’m certain Bigfoot, and his family grabbed some popcorn to watch this lumbering battle. Congrats to both!!! Really proud is Reilly 👏🏽.
😀
Where's 5'7" Diego when ya need him?
Diego is amazing. I’m 5’7 and was convinced to abandon the game for squash when I was fifteen, told I was too short. Schwartzman shows it ain’t the size of the dog that matters. That being said Opelka’s serve looks by and large unreturnable for anybody not tall enough to reach it. His kick second serve is insane!
@@carlkligerman1981 Diego is 5'6'' . 5'7' is his shoe height
@@carlkligerman1981 I'm sorry you got persuaded to abandon tennis, tho' squash is cool. We really live in a "height-ist" world where somehow, we equate being tall with being better. Gotta love Schwartzie for his heart! I met him once at an airport.
Battle of tower, Opelka seems got the edge because of his slight athleticism win over Isner
Isner is still doing pretty well for an old man on tour.
Such a humble celebration.
great, a brilliant play by reilly opelka defeating the tall man john isner and becoming champion here in houston 2022
geez that court looks small for them hahaha 😂😂😂
The Big Boy... Great player! Opelka vai ser o número 1 um dia! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Opelka is very dangerous. He can play on all surfaces and hang solidly on the baseline and whack some lethal forehand and backhand winners. Plus a huge serve coming out of the height of two trees, he's got to be one frustrating nightmare to play against.
great match of table tennis..
Such an entertaining match 😂
never retire John, majors pay so much
I Reilly love his kick serve
I'm happy for him!
All I can think about is that his kick serve is taller than two of me.
i would smash on that kick serve
This is so funny :))) for me, it would be triple or even more hehe🤣🤣
Literally another level !😂
The most entertaining match I’ve ever seen
I didn’t know this channel showed touch tennis! ;)
Opelka 2nd serve is INSANE
Literally, The Clash of the Titans..
Felicidades bendiciones
Great to see the big guys choose tennis and not be autobots for basketball or volleyball...
Opelka has a huge self confidence on his forehand . He kicks the ball like a hummer
Battle of the servebots!
Both really good players! Well done!!! Good fighting!! Congratulations Opelka!
This match feels a bit like a slow motion version of many other ATP matches. These huge players hit hard but move really slow compared to other pros. Opelka is reasonably fast for his size. But Isner must beyond a dought be the slowest ATP active player right now. If Isner didn't give up going for so many balls he would probably get at least 30% of those "lost" balls back. But I guess he does it to save energy.
Isner might get better if he worked on his speed and conditioning a bit more.
Servebot worked hard to rid of himself the legendary name of "servebot"... Opelka plays all the shots and runs down all the shots. My fav big guy!
i did feel that he's been working very very hard.
It wouldn't Opelka vs Isner, without at least one tiebreak.
Of course not!
Two classy giants
He is great!
“Made sure he didn’t touch the net with his foot”
*shows replay of his foot touching the net*
I thought it looked that way too. Could it have possibly been the clay that made the net move?
@@ad-rock603 Yeah, his foot stopped dead in a bit of extra rubble in front of the net.
@@Funkytrip73 sorry, i can't tell if you're being sarcastic. Either way, it's kind of funny
@@ad-rock603 No, just stating that he didn't touch the net as his sliding foot stopped right before it.
Love Opelka. Great strokes and runs around like a 5'10" guy. Have never seen a tennis player with that height with that kind of movement.
Isner getting a taste of his own medicine.
Match in slow motion
What's truly amazing (to me) is that while both their serves are powerful, Reilly's groundstrokes seem to have really come on in just the last year or so. He's hitting them so solidly, they have some real sting behind them. I really don't understand how even the top players are able to return serves like these. Because, it's not like you can find similar practice partners that will deliver for you some high kicking serves like these; how on earth do they train for THAT???
Mind. Blown.
I think I've read about someone's coach serving from a table or a ladder or something ;-)
Unexpected final between two giant power ,But hope could see more between them .
Opelka Isner vs Schwartman Baez for the RG doubles final. You heard it here first.
Both of them are first round casualties at French Open when the field will be very strong with all the players available.
Amazing to see how far out of the court these men can push their opponent.
@Rafa Undisputed goat Opelka is winning RG this year...
I challenge anyone to grow taller than Reilly.
When you are 7 foot with a big ass serve and slower to react you betcha . Of course Opelka is actually a decent mover, but he still is a little slower - especially against those Isner bombs
This was highly enjoyable, hard-fought but clean, classical tennis, not a baseline slugfest, no overly partisan fans, and not one grunt. Thought i'd died and gone to heaven.
Reilly has been upping his game it looks like. Moving well more than before. Congratulations on a thoroughly deserved title. 🥳💯👏🏽👍🏽
Well played to John. Best wishes ahead to both 👍🏽
The surface at Houston looks really tough to play on, like mud! No wonder Kyrgios looked out of sorts on it.
Highest handshake on the tour :)
The height on Opelka’s kick serves!
US Mens Clay Tournament…the one stop shop for giant serve bots to win a clay title. That makes Opelka, Isner and Karlovic as champs here.
These highlights are so unlike other match highlights. The dynamic of these 2 giants is completely different from normal pro tennis. Longest rally was what, 4 hits?
These guys' size made a tennis court look just like a table tennis unit.
The amount of self-control from isner after that bad bounce in set one is amazing. Imagine kyrgios or zverev being in this situation🤣
Holy moly they make the court look like a ping pong table
The court looks smaller than usual between two giants.
I like this two guys
I hadn't realized that this tournament was played on a miniature court.
The new Sampras vs Agassi rivalry LOL
It’s so nice to see a big guy who can do more than just serve big. Well done, Opelka! 😃
That goes for both of them.
Opelka is the mutant version of Isner
battle of the giants. there is something slow motion about them, but they play tennis that's for sure! the court sometimes seem too smal for them, they stumble over a ball here and there :)
