I can relate with Schwarzmann because I recently played against a Czech girl who cheered after every point, no matter if I made a mistake or she forced an error. Like geez, just do it if you did a good shot or if you won a long battling rally🙄
Diego Schwartzmann is just one of the really feisty short players in ATP history. Others I know of are Olivier Rochus of Belgium who stands at 5 ft 5 ( he beat Marat Safin, Mark Philippoussis, Robin Soderling AND Novak Djokovic, who are all 6 footers. ), Marcelo Rios at 5 ft 7 and Michael Chang at 5 ft 9 who won the French Open in 1989.
Whatever yeah they were the same height when they stood on the court together. She’s a bit tall for a female tbh but people acting like you can fit 5ft 7 in your palm lol
In tennis you are taught not to worry about things you cannot control. Diego has certainly learnt his lessons well. Diego is a supremely talented player. He can beat any player on his day irrespective of hieght.
This is one of the greatest tennis videos I have ever seen ... just unthinkable that such a thing could happen, that those music edits could be so .. so perfect
First of all, *GREAT VIDEO*, but there’s no doubt height matters in tennis. It’s not the determining factor of what wins matches but a large majority of the top hundred are over 6ft tall and it’s just more frequent larger players break through.
What's interesting is that you can be too tall as well. Very few players over 6'5" do well and nobody over 6'5" has won a Grand Slam. Ideal height seems to be 6'2" or 6'1", with 6'0" and 6'3" being close behind. Past 6'3" and the finals wins start dropping off dramatically.
I think the ideal heights go from 5'11" to 6'3" looking to the most successful players from the past 30 years. More than this or less than this and you start having troubles
@@razbenyamin7057 I mean, he's doing well and is obviously a very good player, but he hasn't won a Grand Slam yet and only has 6 career pro titles. Djokovic was kind of a late bloomer and he won his first GS at 21. Roger also at 21 and Rafa I believe at 19.

But the only people to break through and win alongside the Big 3 have been 6' or older. Wawrinka is actually short in comparison, the shortest GS winner in a long time, and he is my height...
Height only gives you extra points in service in tennis. It makes the serve trajectory up high as you can see how high Diego is hitting to return Kevin's serve. Baseline and volleys are actually less advantageous if you are very tall - your knees and balance have to work harder.
There’s truth to that. The ideal height seems to be between 6ft1-6ft4 - where the big three and most other top plays all are. Big enough to hit the ball with power every shot and give big serves but not too big to lose agility
