    Nakai is all about the "no thoughts, only munch" mindset. Conquer a settlement and you give it to an allied faction that does all the boring empire building for you and give you your pocket money so you can hoover up the other factions on the continent. Sure you don't actually START on Lustria in Warhammer 3's campaign and you gotta swim across the Warhammer world's version of the Pacific to get there, but once you start cleaning house you realize that Lustria is a tall but not very wide continent, so it's not that difficult to paint the map all the way up to the North Pole.

    the thing with the lizard men, is that their kind of like organic robots with each cast programmed to fulfill a certain role and not much else under the hood. while they were the first children of the old one. they were not intented to be their prefect soldiers in the never ending war against chaos. with most of the races of warhammer fantansy and maybe even age of sigmar. being a test bed to create said perfect warriors

  • @SerLoinSteak
    @SerLoinSteak Год назад +7

    The Lizardmen are essentially bio-golems with each species having been designed for a unique primary purpose by the Great Old Ones. Saurus were the warriors and guards, moderately sized and bred with an innate sense for strategy and war tactics. Skinks were the scribes, architects, and messengers. Small, agile, and the most clever of the standard Lizardmen, they were basically bred for middle management. And there are the Kroxigors who were designed to be the muscle to move and build things. They are dumb by design, because they have Skinks to think for them.
    It's easy to view this caste like system as having Kroxigor slaves, but it is literally what they were made to do. If we made robots with rudimentary intelligence to do manual labor, would it be considered slavery or would it just be performing its function? Its very easy to forget the Lizardmen generally do not consider the individual and everything is in service to the Great Plan

      @TheLegitWeebs  Год назад +3

      Thanks for the breakdown of the Lizardmen! When you put it like that it's easy to understand their system, and it makes sense with their lore since everything is for the Great Plan.

    One of my fav campaigns in TWW2 was "Nakai's band of heroes" :
    Essentialy, Nakai has 2500 base income and every settlement you conquer, you just give to ur ai vassal and you never control it. They just give you some money for it.
    Now, if you stack upkeep reduction on Nakai (buildings, skills, items, traits) you can lower ur main Army's upkeep to a VERY cheap sum, (my record was i think 63% upkeep reduction).
    So this means you can have a very expensive and powerful army, essentially doomstack, while living as a _hobo_.
    So i recruit Heroes and got them on EXPENSIVE mounts (5 saurus on "T-rex", 4 skink oracles on "Spinos", 2 skink mages on "Pterodons", 6 skinks chiefs on Ballista stegosaurus, 1 GIANT dino, lord Kroak and Nakai)
    We are a walking Festival of death i tell you :) go to vampires to kill isabella for regen trait? Check.
    Empire pissed me off so go straight to their capital? Check.
    Wanting a good battle so take grimgors whole nation by turn 60? Check.
    Solo the ENTIRE chaos invasion? Check
    It is SOOOOO FUN :) Very difficult to get there tho ^_^

    Nakai is easily my favourite character in Warhammer. He's ancient as hell (as far as I'm aware, only Lord Kroak is definitively older), seemingly can't be killed by anything, has a supernatural ability to know shit's about to go south and just show up, and his weapon contains the sentience of the Old One of war, Quetzal. Not only that, but Nakai may actually be the manifestation of Quetzal, or of the jungle itself, or both. From a lore standpoint, he should probably be able to solo any other character in the setting.
    And his campaign (at least in TWW3) is one of the most fun, as a pure unga-bunga faction, which doesn't care about settlements and just kills anything in its way.

    sadly Dread Saurians do have a unit cap of 1 for each kind of Dread Saurian, that being the Feral, Non-Feral, and the Regiment of Renown version so you can't really spam them but honestly you don't want nor need more than those 3 unless you want your army to look like a pin cushion cause holy hell even a Stormtrooper can't miss these walking behemoths.

    • @TheLegitWeebs
      @TheLegitWeebs  Год назад

      That's a good point. Apart from a meme army, it wouldn't be the most practical.

    • @ColetheFlame01
      @ColetheFlame01 Год назад

      @@TheLegitWeebs indeed, you can up the unit cap but you need tier 5 buildings and there are only so many of those. besides if you want an army of all dinos I can suggest my personal 2 favorites, Ancient Stegadons Engine of the Gods, and Carnosaurs. Engine of the Gods with that many of them makes the battle field turn into nothing but giant lasers and carnosaurs despite being so large do jump around a lot with their attack animations which yes does move their hitbox a ton making them abnormally harder to hit than you'd otherwise think. plus despite them rampaging a lot, they don't really care what they're fighting anyways so if they do rampage they'll probably just slaughter what you were going to have them slaughter anyways.

    Lizardmen are semi automatons, They're kinda sorta like the Necrons from 40k cept ya know not undead terminators.
    So they don't have a ton of individuality or personality except for the Slann priests, considering they were hand bred by the Old ones to be their front line force it makes a bit of sense. Saurus's were bred to be the main warriors, Skinks were assistants to the Slann (and had abit more individuality compared to other lizardmen) and the Kroxigors were basically jacked up space marine tier guys meant for construction purposes. And their perfectly content with their rolls as they dont have much personality as their laser focused on their Jobs. Though the Krox can be repurposed as Warriors if things go Super South, Hence Nakai. Course Nakai's shtick was he did his Job perfectly but his Temple City got burnt to the ground so hes been wandering around Murdering the crap out of basically anything that isnt a Lizardman still following his Basic Orders he was given. Lizardmen lords outside of Kroak and Mazdamundi dont really have too much on em, except maybe Tehenhauin (Skink Moses) but he was more of a passing mention hero on how the Skaven got clapped the first time they went to Lustria
    Honestly if ya want better lore info on the Lizardbois I Think Pancrease summed em up best. A straight up Anti-Chaos Faction, Powerful as heck, but very few characters and story because they extremely simple in general. But IMHO Simple is often times the Best, and Im a Bretonnia main lol
    Gameplay wise, Nakai is abit of a Snowball faction if you play as em, He's hard AF to play at first because limited access to Krox's but once ya get your crock bois and Lazer spewin Dinosaurs your basically unkillable. But it DOSE get annoying AF having to Baby your Vassel Faction as they can't really defend themselves or even assist in attacking, Also yeah your 100% Completely stuck with just 1 Army to play with. CA may have fixed the Hoard factions in Warham 3 but they didnt Really Fix Nakai except his starting Postion being on the Northern End of Ind where hes Crusading against Cathay VS being on Albion and fighting LITERALLY EVERYONE.
    He's still a Fun faction, if you love Lizardmen and want to shake up your Playstyle and want nothing but Monsters Nakai is your boi
    Also Love all of Cody's vids and his Dad jokes constantly have me laughing.

    5:50 Oh yeah, THOSE puzzles. 😑 Basically, you see how the central dial looks like it has a face on it? What you’re supposed to do is use your imagination that the face ISN’T tilted, cocked, or just flat out-upside down.
    Then (again by using your imagination or a pen and paper) you rotate the outer ring until one of the three sets of lines available match to the face.
    You can kinda see in the example that no matter how the outer-ring spins, that the gold lines and the redlines wouldn’t “match up” to where the gold and red lines are on the central face. Which means for THIS puzzle, the blue lines are what you have to use.
    Anyway, once you figure out which group of lines sync to the face, and have used your imagination so the face and lines are aligned properly, you see which 4 symbols/hieroglyphs the lines are pointing at, and that’s your answer.
    Yes, they did get rid of this crap in WH3, lol.

    1:26 during this point of his lore when he was told to hold the bridge of stars he wasn't by himself as he had the entire Lizardman Army that guarded the city that he was protecting which more so kept getting worse as after multiple hordes came it took literally every single lizard man in the city and every single one of them perished even the slan that was building up a magical Ward against the Chaos Faction died when successfully performed it leaving him alone at the city Bridge as us being said the total of hordes that attacked during this bridge were 7 right up to the 4th there was only a few listen men left and himself as in the said he became in primordial raged so ferociously that he started fighting off the next hordes that try to cross the bridge which was so bad how vicious he was being towards these hordes was so vicious that every demon made a new piercing scream as a warning to the whole armies of chaos to stay away from The Citadel he was guarding

      For this bit of lore he was a critical key turning point in the final battle when the lizard man were pushing the scaven out of their home land as the lizard man had no way to kill a monstrous plague ratogre who any lizard man got near it would have been suffocated to the plague in an instant but not him he came out of the forest and it is said from several skinks freeze that they saw when he locked eyes on the monster it did the same to him as they both rushed in beeline to each other to clash like Titans in the battlefield eyes if they were gods he prevailed in the end but severely sickly weakened until he collapsed from exhaustion

    Skink are not actually at the bottom as pseudo-slaves. Lizardmen have a fairly rigid society where saurus are soldiers, kroxigors are heavy labour and skinks do everything else. They are the craftsmen, the bureaucrats, the smiths, etc. In fact they have the most freedom in lizardmen society, followed by the kroxigors. Both of them have jobs in and out of war. Saurus are the ones you could call pseudo war slaves because they do nothing else in their entire lives but fight, kill and war. In a peaceful society, saurus would be lost.
