Thank you DR .... Yes, I think the VX is really maturing nicely and is already challenging more expensive devices that have shipped /been in development for over 2 years! If they continue to catalogue the AL club face detection dimensions and then just add the bag mapping plus data downloading, extra camera views and some window customizations it will be really solid.
Hi Dave, thanks very much for watching the video and I’m glad you enjoyed the information. I’ve already done a video back months ago when I first received the unit and it’s only gotten better since but here you go. Here’s the link. ruclips.net/video/CmcI7rBQioA/видео.htmlsi=g9rXF4fr4oMrODly
Question for ya. Which golf ball do you use for the protee vx? I have seen multi different golf balls to use just wanted your input since we use same launch monitor
@josepheckman8443 .... Use any ball you'd like really. Some people report a bit more spin (maybe a couple hundred rpm) when they try balls with multiple logos like a pix ball but it's not necessary. I use both at any time interchangeably.
@ ok i have been using the tp5 pix love that golf ball but i hit a chrome soft the other day and was getting way straighter and long results. Which i loved but if its not as accurate i will go back to the tp5 pix love
@@josepheckman8443 interesting ... another RUclipsr did a study and found that the regular balls were spinning more on the VX than the pix. ruclips.net/video/8iCcebrXsG0/видео.htmlsi=nS3gMGCqoXlCCxZl
Reliable from what I've experienced. In early days there was some confusion with LH/RH clubs and image rendered. I've seen discrepancies with varying turf types/depths causing bouncing or deflecting prior to impact that makes the number look incorrect compared to the video at impact.
Overall I am loving the VX. I will say however that i do seem to be more inside / out swing numbers. More than normal. However the ball flight seems accurate which is odd. I am curious if my calibration is maybe off or not setup straight. Theres been a few times where the ball flight is a nice baby draw yet my path would read 3/4 in to out and something crazy like 20 degrees open club face. Yet the video shows neutral or maybe even closed. Other than that , have had only a few "no hits" and once i absolutely smoked my driver and the proteevx software shut off lol. The ability to chip and putt and get awesome reads is amazing compared to the mevo+ pro package.
Thanks for tuning in! Sometimes gear affect and even pre contact disturbance of the turf system can trigger the ball to move before actual contact and those factors can affect the data and also ultimately how your club and ball meet.
My unit happens to be recessed so I built a sliding window over the enclosure box with aluminum channels and the regular plexiglass is just inserted like a sliding window. You will notice that the pieces leave a gap where the camera view area is. I simply used the calibration window to adjust the window opening spaces to the point just before I could see interference/blurring. I might cut out a rectangular area on the centre edges so I can have the pieces touch and the exposed area reduced.
Recently returned my VX for a refund....distance was out some 20+yds with driver. Aoa was so far out I'm a ball picker and it was giving me 9deg down never in a month of Sundays will I actually get that aoa. Had a number of misreads with regards to shot shape also. I did like the camera system though and face impact was usually spot on...the guys at Protee took it back with no issues and I've plumbed for the GC3 which in my opinion is a far superior simulator...
Glad you got a refund… I have not seen that. Data has been good. Foresight has been known to produce its own set of algorithms that skew driver distance… seems all launch monitors have their sweet spots and issues or discrepancies. golfsimulatorforum.com/forum/foresight-sports/368139-why-doesn-t-foresight-fix-the-low-spin-carry
Thanks for your comment. The EYE XO is absolutely great too so long as you don't mind the extra $1500 USD/ $2150 Cdn purchase cost plus using club stickers and paying the annual membership fee now
I like the view software better. Looks more professional. I feel like uneekor is number 3 in golf launch monitors Trackman over gcquad for the simulation, I think it looks the best out of the everyone Gcquad Eye xo 2 Mevo plus
The Protee VX works great. No marked balls or stickers on club and this level of accuracy is amazing.

This was a great review, answered a number of my questions. I'm thinking of buying this soon - can you do a review for chipping and putting?

Very very convincing. Thanks.
Good stuff Leo, most of these products are so good, it's us golfers that are the problem, ;)
Excellent!
What about the driver how accurate is it for driver. My swing speed on my driver is 125-131 mph does it read with swing speeds that fast
Hey, do you notice the dashed lines on the launch monitor video being crooked or slanted at all?
What’s up with the loft/dynamic loft? Seems awfully high… I was watching a different video and the dynamic loft was crazy high as well.
Do more Protee videos, please.😊
Hi, thanks for the support! Working on a 1 year review ... spoiler, its become even better ;)

Have they added lie angle yet? If so, what do you think of the accuracy?
What's your thoughts on the angle of attack?

Does your hitting area have three different hitting surfaces?

Very true. I’ll keep an eye on it. Either way for the $ not sure I could have made a better choice.
What plexiglass protection do you have for it?

Is the minimum hight 9 foot….from where your mounting the bracket or the very bottom of the VX ?
Also do you have to purchase software to be able to use GSpro?
Hi, it’s from the bracket
Subscriptions??
No subscription/annual fee for ProTee Labs software with purchase of VX
