People go out of their way to try to show us something fun and new and it breaks my heart that others feel a need to reply with such negative comments. My Mother taught me "if I didn't have something nice to say not to say anything at all" It a shame we all were not taught that way. 1 minute in a microwave would not come near to melting the plastic. I make this recipe all the time and I think it is fabbo. It doesn't matter how ya melt the stuff just melt it and pour. For those worried about the food content ya should not be looking for fudge recipes to begin with haha Thanks for sharing Tami - Great job!!!

I've been making this recipe for about 20 years. It's so very close to the texture and taste of the peanut butter fudge my grandfather made. He made the fudge from scratch by memory. He would just toss ingredients into a sauce pan and cook it up. Then pour it onto a plate and we'd eat it still warm. My fav memory with my grandfather. This recipe make me so happy.
I also make a chocolate fudge recipe like this. A bag of semi-sweet chips or dark chocolate and a can of chocolate frosting. To kick it up a notch you can chop up you fav candy bar and mix in about half of the bar into the fudge and then sprinkle the rest as garnish on top.

I've made this recipe a couple of times now. It's really very good. I've used both the crunchy and creamy peanut butter. Believe me, it's hard not to eat all of it once they harden up.
Takes less than 10 minutes to make. A 10 year old can do this, (with supervision of course).
I leave it in the fridge for around 2 hours, then cut it up, put it in a container; and place the remainder of it back in the refrigerator until we are finished eating it.
Personally, I prefer the creamy peanut butter. But that's just because all the peanuts are a bit much for my digestion. But either one is really delicious...

I made this version several times. I even use different flavors seriously might get a funky color but in the end, I let mine set out on the counter for two hours loosely covered then put it in the frig for 24 to 48 hours. It seems to taste better than the two hour wait I actually taste more peanut butter than anything the first day and you can add cashews instead of crunchy. not too many because of the salt but like quarter of a cup oh nom noms. My grandson and one of my daughter-in-laws love the stuff I have to hide it and Grandson shows up Grandma is busted and he is almost 3

My son moved to Ukraine. Before he left, he begged me, "Mom, promise me you'll microve your potatoes wrapped in wax paper or wet paper towels, not sandwich baggies! I LOVE you." That meant the world to me. More than a casual "I love you." There are so many toxins in our food, it's compromising our immune systems. Plastic is a major source of that. (No judgement! Were I at your house, I'd beg you for a piece of that fudge.)
I have some serious autoimmune illnesses, so my energy is low, and I take shortcuts whenever I can just to get through. He has much the same battle. He Skypes from Ukraine, "Mom! I've lost tons of weight without really trying much. The food here is REAL. All we're missing is peanut butter!"
To Ukrainians , peanut butter is gold. Lol. A treat like this would be savored and maybe even in secret. So, my son took some jars to give as gifts when he first arrived. In exchange for some HUGE jars of Kroger brand, he got a gorgeous, genius wife and an awesome job he loves. His in laws like him, too. Even the grouchy HUMONGOUS cat didn't hate him.
BTW, he does most of the cooking.
Had Trump offered peanut butter in exchange for quid pro quo, Zelinsky might have waivered. But, they've fought and died to live free of corrupt Russian appointed despots. It's hard to imagine them making deals for less. 😉
Putin wants Ukraine to be his own personal breadbasket. But, they need that bread to hold their peanut butter and their many wonderful preserves and jams.

My wife has been making it for 25 years or more she calls it Hill Billy fudge. You don't have to heat anything up at all mix it right out of the package at room temperature. My 3 year old granddaughter makes it by herself. You can put it in the fridge to help it set quick or just leave it at room temperature and it will set up. Doing it this way it stays nice and soft and doesn't get hard. Tastes great.

@@michelleparks4582 I just finished watching a lady making 2 ingredient chocolate fudge, the ingredients were sweetened condensed milk and a 12 oz bag of semi sweet chocolate chips (not milk chocolate) (dark chocolate morsels will work too) and it was made pretty much the same way, I’m thinking that if you used BOTH butterscotch morsels and sweetened condensed milk...that’s the reason for your fudge being like taffy. Try it again without the condensed milk and I’m sure that you’ll have the right consistency for peanut butter fudge.
