    FYI
    You might want to take the icing and peanut butter out of the plastic container before you microwave.
    The plastic heats up and then some of the bad stuff from the plastic gets in your food.
    Looks 😋

    Been making this fudge for a while now. A few tips for you, instead of buttering the 9x13 dish, use parchment paper so you can lift it out to cut.
    I tried the cream cheese frosting but vanilla or milk chocolate are far better. 16 oz peanut butter melts fine at a minute. Pretty good job !!!

    • @beckykosher1128
      @beckykosher1128 Год назад +4

      Cut the parchment paper slightly smaller in width and longer than the 9x12 baking dish you use. The length is so you can line the bottom and go up the sides & have enough to grab to pull the fudge out after it's set. Do the same with the parchment paper going up the sides of the dish.
      This is good to do with some cakes and anything you make that might stick in the dish! You can lift it right out when it's done. Put it on a cutting board or butcher block to cut into pieces for serving 😊

      @Natalie Bilham I am sorry when I said that Sharon gave the measurements for everything 😮 I took another look & she doesn't give the measurement for the icing & I apologize. Canned frosting/icing only comes in one size to my knowledge. I've only bought it one time, but when I pass by that area in the store, I glance to see the flavors & all appear to to be the same same size can. Sharon stated in her 1st post that she prefers vanilla or chocolate over the cream cheese icing as in the recipe since she makes the fudge frequently.

    I have made homemade icing and put too much peanut butter in my icing and discovered that my icing recipes serves as icing and fudge for a while now. Never thought of making it even easier than that (like this) lol. I did find a 3 ingredient fudge recipe- but you have to cook it, however, it’s ready almost immediately - peanut butter is my “weakness” so I’ll make it whichever way I’m in the mood!! Depends on how much I want it that day and how lazy I’m feeling 🤣

      we add nuts to it and it sets up fast .She actually makes a wreath with a round cake pan and a can in the middle.My sister in law uses the candied cherries around the top.Also crushed candy canes work with it too.Just sayin

    Hi May. I just wanted to tell you I made your recipe for Christmas treats. I couldn't believe how simple it was to make. I also want you to know that my friends and family just raved about it. I live in Jackson, MI and we have a famous chocolate company here and I think your fudge was so much better than theirs. I especially liked that it was so creamy and not so sweet. (I wonder if you are in Michigan, just to my southwest.) Love and Light to you and your family.

    But... I asked (single son) would you rather have "Peanut Butter" fudge or "Butterscotch" fudge? All he said was "Mama, is there a difference? lol
    I'm trying out Strawberry Swirl fudge for the first time. I'm hoping to be alone when I do because last time I experimented, I had nothing left over to display. I made Nostalgia "Dot" candy fudge.

    If you put the plastic wrap in the bottom and up the sides of the container, before you pour in the warm fudge, when it cools you can just pull it all out of the container all at once. So easy to cut into pieces instead of having to dig it out. Oh, don't forget to spray the plastic wrap before pouring in the fudge.
