Really enjoyed this little series, Pete. I’ve had Auria Pro for about 3 years and I’ve learnt more from you in your first week on it! than I have during that time! Turns out I knew a lot more than I thought, but I hadn’t really assembled it all into a complete picture, so by discovering it as you went along you’ve really helped consolidate it all. I’m not the studious type and spend way too much time on unfinished projects in AUM, but now I’m realising Auria is nowhere near as complicated as I thought it was. I still prefer the routing options and the superior visual representation in AUM but I’ve been experimenting with just channeling my AUM session (audio and midi simultaneously), straight into Auria through the AUM outputs. So far so reliable... Btw, I’m sure by now that you’ve discovered the ‘separate recording buffer size’ option in the Auria settings, but I thought I’d point it out anyway :)
Cheers my friend. I did start playing around with buffer size later in the series and it worked a lot better. Thanks for the kind words. It is a very cool app for sure.
There’s a bug in the buffer section of Auria. I will let the developer know. I recommend not using separate buffer size for record in the settings and Disk buffer set it to normal in the other settings section. I was having tons of midi playback issues and once i reset these settings all went back to working great 👍🏼

For the iPad Pro, is Auria Pro or Cubasis more turn-key and good to go, without having to buy additional plugins?
If I do get a plugin, can it be used for both Auria Pro and Cubasis. I see a lot of advertisements and recommendations for plugins, but they don't usually say what software they're for.
I usually record in Pro Tools 10, but I want to record on my iPad Pro "on the fly," because by the time I boot up my computer, external hard drive, software key, mBox, and Pro Tools, the inspiration has died down.

Hey there Eddie. Cubasis seems to be a better option out of the box in my experience. And yes, any generic AUv3 plugins you buy or download can be used in any app. There are some "built-in" plugins you can buy, like the WAVES ones in Cubasis that are only able to be used in Cubasis however.

Also, not sure if you’ve mentioned it already but I’m assuming that backing up everything on iOS/iPad is fine(iCloud/dropbox etc)-? I got into the habit recently of saving every so often in GarageBand bc I was having an occasional GB crash & my edits were not saved before the crash....🤯😬....I think I had too many things taking up space in GB at that time but anyway- just wondering if backing up/saving was easy in Auria Pro...thanks!
Yes iCloud back up works very well!

Haha you are right about the undo button being a friend! I must have hit the record/undo buttons millions of times by now! Takes a few tries to get “that” sound for each section!

Hi. I have a problem whit Auria Pro. This App don’t works properly. It stoped while I am working in Proyect . Don’t download plugins. O you why...??
