Ok, i knew nothing going in, now i want to hug them. They have my respect.
This is exactly what I've been scouring for, just perspective on the actual races and world.
Thank you.
What separates the duergar from the drown in my mind is the drow choose their path of evil
Eh......the Drow don't really get a choice in the matter either, Lolth is an extraordinarily dangerous goddess to Drow heretics, even so much as uttering her name is enough to bring down her wrath upon you if you are a heretic.
Even if you're lucky enough to leave the Underdark you better pray to whatever God is willing to listen to an outcast Drow that a big city is willing to take you in because even being near a Lolth Sworn Drow is enough to draw the attention and ire of a being beyond your ken.
This was invigoratingly amazing, your voice adds so much impact to the story!
Aah thank you so much!
Nice. I am working on making a stronghold of Duergar. Now I know how they think. No ART museums or beer festivals.
I've always felt the Duergar were a tragic race. The fact that they defeated the evil, they fought back, they even made their way back home, but were scorned, cast out.
Love the Duergar and this video, thank you
Here's a different challenge, ettin. 2 heads , 2 personalities, thus 2 point of views lol

Pretty new to all this only because of baldur's gate 3 I have recently just started getting into this stuff. That was great really amazing
This is impressive work.
That was awesome i love the lore Duergar.
I would love to see you do a video on the Derro.
I love it! ❤❤
Very nice
Perhaps something like Nothics could be a fun video?
Great video, just like the rest of the series.
I am wanting to play a Duergar who has had a strange vision of who turns out to be Moradin and struggle on his path to become a proper dwarf… maybe even take at least one cleric level so he can show his people the true way once again
I dunno. I don't think the duregar are all that evil, just bitter and angry. Their philosophy is harsh but it's not malicious.
@wratched They are kinda on the nastier side of the continuum of slavemasters.
That would be very interesting
Where is the lore from of the Dueregar test involving being crushed between two rocks for 7 days? That sounds familiar.
Sadly, it seems the antagonists of Faerune and most other rpg settings become interesting not as they are presented, but rather when they break their molds to become more than they were written to be. Duergar are just one of a great number of creatures afflicted with the inability to properly use their freewill. Its one the things that keeps me from engaging with the medium properly. I see a chance for redemption in everything, and anything. My Dungeon masters however, often see an opposition tooled for motivation and an easy antagonist. I can't blame them though.
Feels like that's on your dungeon master.
I have to say I find the Duergar really bland compared to other Evil Dwarf types like Dark Irons or Chaos Dawi.
Isn’t dark iron just Duergar but with fire?
@@L1qu1d-2qu1d Yes but also no, there are MENTIONS of them being drudgery-focused but at the same time they absolutely love shows of wealth vs hoarding hidden wealth, and their dungeon is possibly most famous for having an entertainment-arena and a bar full of neutrals. So they can party more like normal dwarves.
I personally and respectfully disagree
@@L1qu1d-2qu1d Amd allowed to have some fun.
Fuckin a bro. Theres nothing more i hate when clickin on some lore vid im interested in and the mf dont know how to say the name properly. Il lose my interest instantly . Point is: You say it correctly i applaud you loudly.
Where is the correct pronunciation defined, in which book?
