Camirra, Camirra , my daughter asked me to make her a Strawberry cake - we’ll, I chose yours out of many- well worth it, just baked it & it came out perfect as a Bundt cake just added lots of fresh strawberries to the batter delicious and the frosting, really does taste like ice cream - I only used 2cups of the powdered sugar though - also, delicious- I can’t wait for my daughter to taste tomorrow for Thanksgiving. Made it tonight! Although I adjusted the recipe to 2 cups of flour(my small family can't eat that much) and everything else to match that adjustment. Couldn't stomach 3 n half cups of sugar in the frosting so only used 1 n half and I'll tell you... This is delicious! Can't wait to try it tomorrow when it's cold! Thanks for the recipe!
sounds great! yes this also taste good with a less sweet frosting! i have done it that way before. actually a strawberry whippes frosting is nice with it in the summer

Question 🤔 I put my cake in the oven but at 30 minutes, the middle is still very soft and liquid-like. Any recommendations? I only have two racks, but I’m scared to move it at this point.

also, did you ge the liquid out tof the strawberries before measuring them to make the puree? also, did you remove some for the frosting? it is possible there was too much liquid if you didnt do that.
Had me until you opened a box of artificially colored and flavored jello. I'll try unflavored and extra strawberries because this is one of my favorite cakes since the 70's
This looks great but the recipe lost me with the gelatin. I will have to choose gelatin that is pork free. Hopefully no one at the office had a pork free diet. No one would ever stop to think whether a piece of cake may be violating their dietary laws.

This was an epic fail!! Horribly dense sunk in the middle nothing any where light and fluffy as your cake looked and it was not even a bright pink. Did you use food coloring? Because my cake was a grayish dull color. Very disappointed and a waste of ingredients we couldn’t even eat it as it was so heavy and doughy I would not use that much oil and then on top of that cream or sour cream and not even the pkt of strawberry gelatin added any color. I’ve made a lot of strawberry cakes and I’m still hunting for the best one…sorry but this wasn’t it just a waste of time…energy and money!!
did you use all the ingredients and weight the flour? im very surprised by this result as many ppl and i have made this numerous times with great success. im wondering if you over measured the flour. this happens if you scoop flour straight from the bag. the jello makes it pink. also over mixing causes a heavy and doughy cake. tbh doughy/ heavy cakes are almost always caused by improper flour measure and overmixing or not adding the right amount of leavening agent.

you want to bake until the middl comes out clean. in my oven i think i said 35-40 min, BUT always go until the middle comes out clean.

I made this. But the middle stayed liquid so i cooked it longer. Then when i took out the middle sank in. What do you recommend
did you cook it long enough? it needs to be cooked until a toothpick comes out clean. was it fully cooked when you cut it?

hmmmm you used a 9x13 dish? my other thought would be that maybe the batter wasnt evenly distriubted in the pan.
