Red Dead Redemption 2 is a Western-themed action-adventure video game developed and published by Rockstar Games. The game is a prequel to the 2010 game Red Dead Redemption, and the third entry in the Red Dead series. Set in 1899, it follows the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang. After a botched ferry heist, Dutch van der Linde and his gang, which includes Arthur Morgan and a young John Marston, are forced to flee their hideout in Blackwater and attempt to cross the mountains west to evade law enforcement. In order to fund their escape, Dutch has the gang rob a train belonging to the wealthy oil magnate Leviticus Cornwall. A furious and vengeful Cornwall then hires the Pinkerton Detective Agency, who send Agents Milton and Ross to apprehend the gang. As a result, the gang is forced to be constantly on the move to stay one step ahead them. All the while, Morgan and the rest of the gang continually have to perform numerous jobs and heists to keep the gang funded as Dutch continually promises one last, big heist that will secure their freedom.

With RDR2 releasing on PC last month I thought it'd be cool to take a look at a few of the details I never covered last year... With this additional 17, I've covered a grand total of 133 details in this masterpiece of a game and I'm pretty sure there's a few more worth highlighting as well so if that's the case you'll be sure to see them I'm one of my videos in the future, anyway I hope you enjoy! :)

Yea multiplayer is pretty slow I was more talking about the story mode it makes any other game I’ve played feel empty
c_moye Most games release too soon for sure. The reason why Rockstar was able to make RDR2 so rich in detail and graphics is because we never got to see the full potential of the current generation hardware. They got the best artists and designers in the industry to do something that was unheard of. Look at franchises like Assassins Creed where there is sometimes a year gap between games. AC Origins was perfect for those hungry for something new from Ubisoft.

It’s crazy how Rockstar has this ability to make players fall in love with the main characters in RDR games only for them to kill them and allow others to take over the remained of the game.

The game does an excellent job at getting you interested in the story and characters. And this is coming from someone who didn’t even plan on playing the game!

Days gone have that detail of the pupils, its impressive cuz the game have made for a small group of people

That's exactly what happened to me. I had a Palomino Morgan (cause at the beginning I had barely any money to buy a better horse, but I stuck with her).
I knew she was gonna die at the end, and my brother sat behind me to watch (since he played before me) and I was already trying not to cry..
And then he said "Thank you" and I started crying hard.
Had to pause for a minute after that.

I'm riding along on my horse about a week ago when all of a sudden something falls out of the sky and smacks into the ground right next to me. When I look at it, it turns out to be a rabbit, apparently dropped by an eagle or something.

What I love above all else is the tiniest details. Details so small the average player would never notice and the skilled players would have to look hard for. The fact that Arthur’s name is on the memorial plaque is just insane.

Rdr2 came out late October 2018 and to finish the whole storyline before the goty awards would be kinda hard
I love RDR2, absolute masterpiece. But God of War was fantastic, and deserved to win on grounds of story alone.
To be fair they won best acting performance for Roger Clark, best original score and sound design I think
Playing it recently I noticed a detail, the Opened bottles of alcohol have a higher pitch to them when you pop out the cork than the full ones.

this game is a modern day masterpiece. It will always be remembered just like the masterpieces of artists like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Beethoven etc.

The details were taken serious in this game. Almost every civilian in this game have some type of dialogue and Arthur has a response. It made me wonder how long the script was for Roger Clark . Also the rumors about rockstar developers working super long hours made sense

Probably a little late but, in the mission "Enter, Pursued by a Memory", you pass a dead, rotting horse than was presumed to have belonged to John.
There is yellow snow next to the horse's crotch region (if you couldn't guess, it's piss). When a living creature dies, it loses control of its urinal and bowel movements, so they just kinda go right then and there.
That is some MAJOR attention to detail.

It would make sense if Arthur respawns in a Hospital or some kind of medical place but he just stands a few meters away from where he died. Rockstar always takes some of your money when you die, medical expenses makes more sense in GTA.

@@korny3098 i'm not totally sure but probably. It gets warmer in general, i don't know if in the mountain in ambarino it gets warmer, maybe 1 or 2 degrees, but in every other place i think it does

When someone stabs you and blood is on their knife, when they try to attack but you dodge, the blood sprays out. Cool detail I noticed while fighting!

This game is a literal masterpiece. Should be named the game of the decade. Rockstar really did a frabjous job with this one and I hope that they do with gta 6 too.

1:15 Dutch even messes up a little when he talks. Idk if it was an accident or on purpose in the voice acting part, but its still a really cool thing they'd keep in

There's something similar that sounds like a genuine in-studio mess-up that sounds like they kept in in because it adds charm. When you're taking Uncle into town in Chapter 2 and the 3 girls, Tilly, Karen and Mary-Beth, want to go into town with you, the girls sing a song, well about half-way through one of the girls very clearly flubs her line and you hear them all giggle but keep on singing. But because stuff like that really happens it adds to the authenticity of the environment.

The animals are the most realistic I've ever seen in a videogame. The first time I killed a deer with a knife as it cried out at me, looking at me with those pathetic eyes...I damn near cried.
PÃŃÇÅKĘ that’s what I did till the mission with Charles when you kill those guys that were leaving bison for dead. Then I felt bad for shooting animals and not using them afterwards
I know, I wonder how they recorded all of the distressed animal noises, such as the dogs whimpering and the deers crying...
That is why I just shoot them at distance until they are super dead.
Fortunately it's not like that in real life, otherwise I'd never hurt an animal again

This game is so amazing, I love every detail in it, from the bottom to the top.
5 details:
1) Arthur's mood changes when health core is low
2) People will ask about Arthur in the epilogue
3) Karen starts getting crazy after Sean's death
4)If you get robbed as Arthur at the Aberdeen Pig farm,you can get the money as John
5)Some people will notice that Arthur is sick and ask if he is ok (for example at chapter 6 if you go to valentine's small saloon and get a drink the man owner will react)

Then you will wake up in the bush without any money, but DONT Go back to the farm. Complete the final mission, Play with John, and go back to the farm, there in the picture of the mother of the incestuous brothers will be the money of Arthur

The dilating pupil thing blew me away. This level of detail is absolutely insane. I also find it crazy that animals actually behave naturally in the wild and are animated to do stuff, independently from the player.

There’s so many details in the game it’s insane, definitely game of the year, rockstar is truly the best video game company ever.
I wouldn’t say the best, but they definitely did put a lot of heart into this game.
